Iron Maiden Drops Biblical Epic ‘The Writing on the Wall,’ First New Music in 6 Years
Image
Iron Maiden have unleashed their new video for “The Writing on the Wall,” the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame-bound heavy metal act’s first new music in six years.

The video is an animated retelling of Bible stories like the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse and Moses parting the Red Sea (or in this case, a deadly forcefield) with four cloaked motorcyclists — under the direction of Iron Maiden’s ghoulish mascot Eddie — bringing death, destruction, and plague to the dystopian world’s oppressors.

For “The Writing on the Wall,” singer...

See the Hidden Speakeasy at Pixar Studios Where Steve Jobs Would Meditate
Secret rooms are almost always awesome, especially if they're at your workplace and provide a special location to hide, drink, mingle with VIPs and maybe even meditate. That is the case for Pixar Animation Studios, where there are a number of fully stocked bars on site, including a couple hidden speakeasy types with unconventional entrances. The first one of the speakeasies was created by animator Andrew Gordon (his most notable, award-winning achievement on-screen is the "speaking whale" in Finding Nemo but he seems to have worked on almost every one of the studio's features), who found a little alcove behind his office when they moved to their main Emeryville campus. Only accessible by crawling through an air duct (as seen above in a photo by Deborah...

Susan Sarandon Dragged Into Table Tennis Club Lawsuit
Susan Sarandon has been caught up in a legal battle over her New York City table tennis club, with several investors alleging they have been frozen out of the business. The Hollywood actress is one of several entrepreneurs who have handed over cash to help set up SPiN, which launched in September 2009.

But two businessmen, Bill Mack and Iwona Herdzik, claim they aren't happy with the way the club is being run and have filed a lawsuit claiming they have been shut out of operations. The papers, filed at Manhattan Supreme Court last week, allege SPiN's founders Andrew Gordon, Franck Raharinosy and Jonathan Bricklin - the man who was recently linked to newly single Sarandon - issued additional shares of the company to third parties without their approval, mismanaged SPiN's finances and threatened to shut the club and file bankruptcy.

A representative for SPiN tells New York Post gossip column PageSix,...

Sarandon's Legal Battle Over Ping Pong Club
Susan Sarandon
Susan Sarandon has been caught up in a legal battle over her New York City table tennis club, with several investors alleging they have been frozen out of the business.

The Hollywood actress is one of several entrepreneurs who have handed over cash to help set up SPiN, which launched in September.

But two businessmen, Bill Mack and Iwona Herdzik, claim they aren't happy with the way the club is being run and have filed a lawsuit claiming they have been shut out of operations.

The papers, filed at Manhattan Supreme Court last week (beg11Jan10), allege SPiN's founders Andrew Gordon, Franck Raharinosy and Jonathan Bricklin - the man who was recently linked to newly single Sarandon - issued additional shares of the company to third parties without their approval, mismanaged SPiN’s finances and threatened to shut the club and file bankruptcy.

A representative for SPiN tells New York Post gossip column PageSix, "Bill and Iwona attempted to take control of SPiN New York, but the judge flatly denied that request. There is zero truth to the allegations that the club is seeking bankruptcy protection.

"They tried to work out their differences with Bill and Iwona over a heated table tennis match at SPiN, but they ended up in court, which is a lot less fun."

Sarandon, 63, split from her long term partner, actor Tim Robbins, in December, and was subsequently linked to Bricklin, 31. However, a representative for the actress dismissed rumours of a romance, insisting the pair's relationship is "strictly a business one."...
