Mark J. Gordon
Founder of Wildcat Entertainment, Mr. Gordon has produced 16 feature Films. 'Wildcat' and its horror film division 'Cinemacabre' are riding the crest of the 'digital revolution.' Wildcat's first feature 'Sunset After Dark (1994)' was the first video feature to use 'Filmlook' technology. 'Blazing Force (1996)' was one of the first DV features. Mr. Gordon continues pushing the boundaries by moving to Hi Def and doing everything possible 'in house,' including HD editing, 5.1 surround sound, visual FX, and a proprietary 'filmlook' process they call 'Cinedef.'

In 1989 Gordon was granted a fellowship to the American Film Institute where he studied cinematography for 2 years. There he was awarded the Sherill C. Corwin / Tommy Gross Scholarship, the highest award given to a cinematography fellow. He was also the recipient of an internship with cinematographer, Vilmos Zsigmond, working with him on "Bonfire of the Vanities."

Mr. Gordon lensed the feature film "Hit Me" (official selection Toronto Film Festival) and is based on the Jim Thompson novel "A Swell Looking Babe." Thompson has penned some of the best film noir stories such as "The Grifters," "After Dark My Sweet," and Stanley Kubrick's "The Killing," as well as the Kubrick classic "Paths of Glory." The film stars Elias Koteas, William H. Macy, and Phillip Baker Hall. The films director, Steven Shainberg (Secretary) and Mr. Gordon also collaborated on "Mr. Viril," starring Angelina Jolie.

Currently available on home video is the 1957 period piece / road movie "Fall Time" starring Mickey Rourke, Stephen Baldwin, Sheryl Lee, and David Arquette. The film was one of eighteen chosen from over six hundred films for the dramatic competition and had its world premier at the Sundance Film Festival in January 1995. "Fall Time" received excellent notices for it's darkly stylistic re-creation of 50's Americana. The "Best Cinematography" award at the Atlanta Film Festival 1992 was given to Gordon for his work on the short film "In the Name of the Father" which also won the "Gold Hugo" at the Chicago Film Festival and represented the United States in international competition winning the Cine "Golden Eagle."

His recent work in commercials include spots for Miller Lite, Allure by Chanel, Marika Sportswear, and Roadrunner Online Service (Nominated by Adweek for "Best Creative Spot").

Originally a still photographer, Gordon brings with him 10 years of diverse, professional photographic experience to film. Some of his clients included AT&T, Coca Cola, Disney Home Video, Honda Motors, Leo Burnette Advertising, McDonald's, Paramount Pictures, Seiniger Advertising, Surfing Magazine, Warner Brothers, and Yamaha Motors. Gordon has worked extensively on motion picture advertising campaigns for such films as Arthur 2, Big, Blind Date, Johnny Handsome, Midnight Run, The Naked Gun, and Planes Trains Automobiles.
