After months of speculation, the Season 2 premiere date of Netflix's hit romantic comedy, Nobody Wants This, has been revealed. And it's exactly when we thought it might be — the streamer just waited for the Kristen Bell and Adam Brody-starring show to have its For Your Consideration moment in order to announce it officially. The show's executive producers and cast made the premiere date known on Sunday on stage at Netflix's Fysee Emmy event celebrating Season 1 in Los Angeles.
In news that was also revealed via press release (but we first saw in The Hollywood Reporter), Nobody Wants This will see its Season 2 premiere on October 23, 2025. It's an exciting development for fans of the series, which hit the streaming service in late 2024 but became an instant success thanks to its likable cast and fantastic writing. In a world that tends to under-serve and under-appreciate romantic comedies, Nobody Wants This is a gift.

Netflix know that a lot of somebodies want this. The second season of “Nobody Wants This” will premiere October 23. The show first dropped on the streamer last September to sparkling reviews, with IndieWire’s Proma Khosla praising the chemistry between leads Kristen Bell and Adam Brody.
The show, created by Erin Foster, finds Joanne and Noah (Brody) in a would-be conventional love story complicated by Noah’s position as a rabbi. Popular podcaster Joanne isn’t just not Jewish, she’s also unreligious generally — as is her entire non-traditional family. As Noah and Joanne attempt to acclimate to each other’s worlds, and Joanne explores converting, things get complicated — to put it lightly.
“Nobody Wants This” was renewed back in October, but the drop date was not revealed until the June 1 Netflix Fysee L.A. Emmy event at the Academy Museum in Los Angeles. The evening featured a screening of...

After debuting to critical and popular acclaim last September, Netflix’s rom-com series Nobody Wants This is getting very close to the start of production on Season 2. So what can star Adam Brody tease?
“Very little,” he admitted tonight, in conversation with Deadline on the SAG Awards red carpet. “I think repercussions from [Noah] choosing maybe love over work. He’s going to grapple with that. That’s about as much as I know, to be honest with you.”
Created by and exec produced by Erin Foster, Nobody Wants This explores the unconventional romance between Joanne, a candid agnostic podcaster portrayed by Kristen Bell, and Brody’s unconventional rabbi, Noah Roklov. Inspired by Foster’s relationship with husband Simon Tikhman, the show’s Season 1 finale saw Noah at a crossroads, as Joanne decided, after much contemplation, against converting to Judaism, in a move that leads to the couple’s breakup.

Brooklyn Nine-Nine has truly made its mark on television, winning over fans with its fantastic ensemble cast and clever humor. After wrapping up its 8 seasons in 2021, the beloved cop comedy left many fans wishing for more. While it doesn’t have any spinoffs or related shows like some popular series, B99 fans have some really exciting options they’ve been hoping for.

Among its characters, Detective Michael Hitchcock and Norm Scully stand out as the lovable, albeit lazy, duo whose backstory remains largely untold. In the season 6 episode, Hitchcock & Scully offered a tantalizing glimpse into their past, revealing their transformation from dynamic detectives in the ’80s to the laid-back officers we know today. The story has sparked interest among fans for a potential spinoff or prequel series, focusing on their earlier adventure.

We’ll be seeing more of Esther Roklov in the upcoming second season of Nobody Wants This. Jackie Tohn, who recurred heavily as the character in Season 1 has been promoted to series regular for Season 2, Deadline has confirmed.
Esther is the sister-in-law of Adam Brody’s character Rabbi Noah Roklov, and the wife of Timothy Simons’ Sasha. Esther did not shy away from her disapproval after Noah began dating the non-Jewish Joanne, played by Kristin Bell. After becoming a bit friendlier with Joanne, she declared in the season one finale that both Joanne and her sister Morgan (Justine Lupe) needed to go after Morgan became a bit too friendly with her husband Sasha.

Grant Gustin’s run as The Scarlet Speedster ended in 2023 with the conclusion of the Arrowverse. Since then, the actor seems to have taken a hiatus from the big sets of the film industry and has been happily spending his time on the stage on Broadway. While he is as busy as ever, he did do one film after the end of The Flash, which is Puppy Love.

Netflix's rom-com series Nobody Wants This was inspired by creator and producer Erin Foster's real-life love story. She developed the concept in 2019 when she was converting to Judaism after meeting her now-husband, Simon Tikham, at a Los Angeles gym in 2018.

Nobody Wants This creator Erin Foster has addressed criticism surrounding her show's depiction of Jewish characters. Following the Netflix series' premiere on September 26, Glamour published "Netflix's Nobody Wants This and the Persistent Jewish Stereotype," an opinion piece by senior West Coast editor Jessica Radloff. While Radloff enjoyed the series (more on that later), she did take offense to the way Jewish women are portrayed in the romantic comedy: from an unwelcoming mother to the "Jewish trope of controlling/annoying wife who can't stand their other half." Foster, whose real-life romance with now-husband Simon Tikhman loosely inspired the series, recently spoke with the Los Angeles Times regarding the backlash:
"I think we need positive Jewish stories right now. I think it's interesting when people focus on, 'Oh, this is a stereotype of Jewish people,' when you have a rabbi as the lead. A hot, cool, young rabbi who smokes weed.
