Joss Gower

Born in London, England, Joss Gower developed a passion for action films, westerns, and World War II movies at an early age. By the age of nine, he was already performing stunts, famously falling down the stairs of his family home-a move that alarmed his mother but left him unscathed, with only a few bruises. This fearless experiment marked the start of his lifelong career in stunt work. His first paid gig came soon after when he recreated the same stunt for his Uncle Ken, earning $1 and setting the stage for his future in the industry.

At age 15, Joss enrolled at the renowned Anna Scher Theatre in Islington, London, to study acting. Alongside his theater education, he trained intensively in various physical disciplines including trampolining, karate, judo, climbing, diving, and horse riding-skills that would prove essential to his stunt career.

Joss's early professional experience came at The American Adventure Theme Park, where he performed live stunts that helped him secure small roles in television. His dedication and skill earned him a coveted spot on the British Actors' Equity Stunt Register by the age of 22. Working with legendary stuntmen such as Roy Alon, Peter Brayham, Alf Joint, Greg Powell, and Marc Boyle, Joss honed his craft, establishing himself as a trusted performer in the industry.

Now at 55, Joss remains as active as ever. He stays in top physical condition by boxing twice a week and running 15 kilometers weekly. In addition to continuing his work as a stunt performer, Joss enjoys passing on his knowledge to the next generation, teaching stunt fundamentals to aspiring stunt professionals.
