    • Roger Graef was born on April 18, 1936 in New York City, New York, USA. He was a producer and director, known for One of Them Is Named Brett (1965), Decision: British Communism (1978) and The Secret Policeman's Other Ball (1982). He was married to Susan Mary Richards and Karen Bergemann. He died on March 2, 2022 in the UK.

  • He was awarded the O.B.E. (Officer of the Order of the British Empire) in the 2006 Queen's New Year's Honours List for his services to the film industry.
  • He was declared a citizen of the UK in 1995.
  • His fly-on-the-wall documentary series Police (1982) showed the insensitive way in which police treated an allegation of rape. The public outrage when this was broadcast led to a change in the way that police forces investigated rape cases and the founding of a new rape squad of five female officers in the Reading police station shown in the documentary.
