Fred Grandy

Other works

Fred Grandy

Edit
  • (1974) He co-starred in an unaired sitcom pilot for ABC called "The Fireman's Ball". The plot concerned the misadventures of a group of San Francisco firemen. ABC liked the concept enough to recast and re-shoot another pilot in 1975, with Johnny Brown and David Ketchum the only returning actors but the network decided not to pick up the revised version for their fall line-up when the audience reaction to its 1975 airing was decidedly cool.
  • Co-host of The Grandy & Andy Morning Show, a conservative radio news/talk show on 630 WMAL-AM in Washington, D.C.
  • (May 8, 2013 - May 18, 2013) "Sleuth," a dramatic thriller, written by Anthony Shaffer, directed by Clayton Phillips, co-starring Fred Grandy and Christian Pedersen, at the Surflight Theatre in Beach Haven, New Jersey, USA.
  • (2011-?) Senior Fellow for National Security Affairs at the Center for Security Policy, a not-for-profit, neo-conservative (although officially non-partisan) think tank in Washington, DC focused on developing and managing domestic terrorism and counter intelligence research and projects.
  • (2010 - 2011) Host of "The Grandy Group" on 630 WMAL in Washington, DC.
  • (2003 - 2010) Co-host of the "Grandy & Andy Morning Show," a conservative radio talk show on 630 WMAL in Washington, DC, with DC radio fixture Andy Parks.
  • (early 2000s) Visiting Professor at the University of Maryland, College Park, School of Public Affairs.
  • (2000 - 2003) Political Commentator for National Public Radio.
  • (1995 - 2000) President and CEO of Goodwill Industries International.
  • (January 3, 1987 - January 3, 1995) Republican member of the U.S. House of Representatives from Iowa's 6th district (1987-1993) and from Iowa's 5th district (1993-1995).
  • (Summer 1981) He acted in Abe Burrows and Frank Loesser's musical, "How To Succeed in Business," in a Kenley Players production at the Memorial Hall in Dayton; the Veterans Memorial Theatre in Columbus and in Akron, Ohio with Don Ameche in the cast. John Kenley was artistic director.
