Where South Park goes, Digman! follows — literally.
The season two premiere of Andy Samberg’s Digman! is being pushed out two weeks to Wednesday, July 23, just like the season 27 premiere of South Park. Digman! airs in Comedy Central’s 10:30 p.m. time slot, immediately after South Park at 10.
South Park’s season 27 premiere was delayed on Wednesday. The news came amid a streaming-rights battle between the creators, Trey Parker and Matt Stone, and the channel’s parent company, Paramount Global.
Parker and Stone are not happy about the delay, and they made that known.

The Comedy Central animated series “Digman!” is the latest show to shift its premiere at the basic cabler.
The second season of “Digman!” was slated to debut on July 9, but it will now premiere two weeks later on July 23 at 10:30 p.m. Et/Pt. The move keeps the series in line with the launch of Season 27 of “South Park,” which also recently shifted its premiere date to July 23.
No sign yet that the “Digman!” creators are planning to release a statement to address the move, but “South Park’s” Trey Parker and Matt Stone had plenty to say, particularly regarding the Paramount-Skydance merger. In a statement posted online shortly after the premiere date move was announced, Parker and Stone said, “This merger is a shit show and it’s fucking up ‘South Park.’ We are at the studio working on new episodes and we hope the fans get to see them somehow.

Rip Digman is almost back, and this time, he's bringing a lot of new friends to Comedy Central. Over 15 guest stars are unearthed in the new Collider-exclusive trailer for Season 2 of Digman!, the animated adventure comedy co-created, produced by, and starring Andy Samberg, which imagines an alternate reality where archaeologists are big-shot celebrities beloved around the world. Their voices will be heard in a few short weeks when Digman and his companions continue their adventures starting July 9.
At the beginning of the trailer, the focus is on Samberg and his returning Digman! pals. While he'll once again be voicing the washed-up Rip with a Nicolas Cage-inspired accent,...

During its original run on Fox, King of the Hill provided opportunities for performers from all over the Southern U.S. states: Beth Grant (Alabama); Trace Adkins (Louisiana); Diedrich Bader (Virginia); Mary Kay Place (Oklahoma); Stephen Root and Tom Petty (Florida); Johnny Knoxville and Lane Smith (Tennessee), and of course the contingent from Texas, including Peri Gilpin, Glenn Morshower, Johnny Hardwick, Jonathan Joss and Mike Judge. Somehow, though, a show that crossed over with 30 Rock for several years never booked the actor whose role as Kenneth the Page made him synonymous with the state of Georgia: Jack McBrayer.
Based on the evidence of a new clip from the revival season, that seems like it’s about to change.

The largely forgotten 16-year-old comedy created by Beavis and Butt-Head creator Mike Judge has found newfound success on streaming.
Directed by the creator of several iconic adult cartoon series, including Beavis and Butt-Head and King of the Hill, Judge's 2009 live-action comedy film Extract has become a streaming hit. The film climbed to #2 most streamed film on Paramount+ U.S.Extract stars Jason Bateman as Joel Reynolds, the founder of a company specializing in making flavoring extracts. The film had an $8 million budget to work with and ultimately grossed $10.8 million at the global box offices. Despite the lukewarm financial success, Extract was generally positively received and currently has a 62% on Rotten Tomatoes.
Extract is a satire showing the company's questionable working conditions. When an accident results in one of Joel's employees, Dean Slade, played by Ben Affleck, losing a testicle, Cindy, a con artist played by Mila Kunis, steps in to capitalize on the incident.

All good things must come to an end, but an ending is usually less bitter when said thing has been enjoyed for a while. Unfortunately, that's an experience Kevin Bacon could only wish to have for his horror series, The Bondsman, which was, surprisingly, axed by Prime Video after just one season. All eight half-hour episodes of the series dropped on the streamer on April 3, and the immediate reception was positive. The Bondsman not only topped the charts in its early weeks but was able to sustain momentum thereafter, remaining within the Top 10 since its debut. The audience and critics loved it, and the show seemed poised for a return, but surprisingly, it would become one of those good shows to end too soon. Bacon, who is as bewildered as we all are, shared his reaction in a video posted to Instagram, saying:

Even the actor couldn't provide a reason behind the cancellation, saying, "I wish I had an explanation for you, but I honestly don't."
He then goes on to thank his fans and everyone who reached out to him about it. You can watch the entire video below.

Last month, Amazon dropped eight episodes of The Bondsman on Prime Video. The show starred Kevin Bacon as Hub Halloran, a bounty hunter who dies and goes to hell. After that, he's given a second chance at life, provided he works for the devil chasing down demons who have escaped from hell and returning them to the underworld. He's also got to navigate a bunch of family drama. The show also starred Beth Grant, Jennifer Nettles, Damon Herriman, Maxwell Jenkins, and Jolene Purdy.
The show got decent reviews, but it must have not been enough for Amazon, because The Bondsman has been cancelled, according to The A.V. Club.
Amazon canceled the show in the dead of night this past Friday, which is what studios do whenever they want to get rid of a series without drawing too much attention. Goodbye, Hub Halloran. We barely knew ye.

Kevin Bacon’s latest turn as a resurrected bounty hunter has been cut short. The Bondsman, Amazon MGM Studios’ horror-action series, has officially been cancelled after just one season, The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed.
The show premiered on Prime Video on April 3 with eight episodes, landing modestly on Nielsen’s streaming chart in its first week with 563 million minutes viewed. Ranking ninth for the March 31–April 6 period, The Bondsman failed to hold ground in the weeks that followed, disappearing from the Top 10 entirely and ultimately not finding the sustained momentum that might have kept it alive.

In what will come as a shock to those who have been following along with the show’s success, Kevin Bacon will be hanging up his handcuffs and staying away from hell’s most wanted, as Prime Video has officially given the axe to The Bondsman after just one season. Boasting an 83% critics’ rating on Rotten Tomatoes, the decision is a head-scratcher considering not only the title’s success on the online ratings platform, but also the Nielsen Top 10 streaming rankings and on Prime Video’s chart itself, where The Bondsman has held down a steady placing since its release last month. Nevertheless, the folks at the top have decided to part ways with the production, marking it as a one-season wonder that simply won’t see the sun rise on a second season.

Kevin Bacon is an iconic star who recently helmed the intriguing new series The Bondsman, which didn't turn out to be TV's new big fantasy hit. Bacon is known for his action and horror roles, of course alongside the seminal coming-of-age musical Footloose. Kevin Bacon returned to the small screen with his starring role in The Bondsman, the supernatural action drama series that debuted on Prime Video in April. One month later, the show's renewal fate has been revealed, and it's not good news for fans of the show.

Fans are responding in tow, as the series has become a hit on streaming and has cracked the top 10 most-viewed streaming projects after just a single week on the platform — so clearly the Bondsman is gearing up for some big success.
The Bondsman was the third-most watched streaming project across all platforms from the week of April 3 to April 9, 2025, according to data from Reelgood; the series came in just behind Max's smash-hit series The White Lotusand the Bob Dylan biopic A Complete Unknownon Hulu. The Bondsman was able to achieve this ranking in its first week, given that the series did not even premiere until April 3. So fans seem to be making it known that Bacon's performance is leaving a mark on them.

I’ve been on the prowl for a new television series of late and I think I may have happened upon my next binge. It’s a horror show featuring Kevin Bacon as the hardboiled protagonist. No, I’m not talking about The Following, silly. I’m talking about the new Prime Video original series The Bondsman. Not only is the program the most-viewed television program on the platform today, it’s also the most viewed title on the streamer overall.
Judging by the trailer (check it out for yourself in the player below), the series takes a level of inspiration from The Evil Dead universe. More specifically Ash vs Evil Dead. The show mixes brutal demon-slaying violence with groan-inducing jokes. Not to mention, Bacon’s Hub Halloran looks mighty comfortable toting a chainsaw.
My one reservation is that the VFX looks a little rough. Kind of unrealistic. However, this...

For Kevin Bacon’s Hub Halloran in Prime Video’s new horror series, The Bondsman, there’s not much that the beer-guzzling law enforcer is asking for with his small town life in Grantville, Georgia.
Hub’s desires can actually be condensed down to four things: protection for his churchgoing mother Kitty (Beth Grant); a reconciliation with the ex-wife he’s still in love with, Maryanne (Jennifer Nettles); respect from his teenage son Cade (Maxwell Jenkins); and a forever kept secret of an act of evil — albeit, a tragically accidental one that the loaner bondsman hopes will stay a secret for the rest of his life.
But Hub learns in the opening scene of the satirical-horror fest that some entity from another realm is watching mortals in their most egregious life mess-ups, to enact possibly no redemption for wicked acts, just punishment delayed. And that’s exactly what...

Kevin Bacon has done it all. From action to comedy to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, the legendary actor has been in Oscar winners to pop culture favorites and shows no sign of slowing down. For his new series, the legendary actor tries something a little bit different than we have come to expect from him with The Bondsman. A blend of multiple genres, The Bondsman is part horror and part comedy but is just a fun time full of blood, guts, and family dynamics.
In The Bondsman, Kevin Bacon stars as Hub Halloran, a murdered bounty hunter who’s back from the dead after being resurrected by the Devil to trap and send back demons that have escaped from the prison of Hell. By chasing down those demons with the help and hindrance of his estranged family, Hub learns how his own sins got his soul condemned, pushing him to...

I was skeptical when I saw the title of Prime Video's newest series. I soon discovered it was a horror supernatural series that starred Kevin Bacon. At my core, I'm an '80s fanatic, and I'll watch anything with 1980s actors such as Michael J. Fox, Christopher Lloyd, Kevin Bacon, and Molly Ringwald. I jumped at the chance to binge-watch Bacon's new leading role because watching an actor/actress's catalog is my passion.
Kevin Bacon, a household name since his breakout role as Ren McCormack in Footloose (1984), plays Hub Halloran in Amazon Prime Video's The Bondsman. The streamer dropped all eight episodes of the horror series' season one on April 3. The first 12 and a half minutes of the season in episode 1, titled "Pot O' Gold," are a whirlwind as we learn about Hub's character and storyline.

Amazon Prime Video is actively being dominated by one Mr. Kevin Bacon. The actor, best known for his roles in classics such as "Footloose" and "Tremors" (among many others), stars in the newly-unveiled Blumhouse horror-comedy series "The Bondsman." Though the show hasn't been out very long, it's pretty safe to declare it a big hit in the early going.
The series debuted all eight episodes of its first season on Prime Video at once on Thursday, April 3. Though certain shows get the weekly release treatment on the streamer, such as "The Boys," Amazon decided to go with a Netflix-style binge dump for this one. It paid off, as the series is currently the most-watched on all of Prime Video, per FlixPatrol. At the moment, it even ranks above the likes of "The Wheel of Time" and "Reacher", which just debuted its season 3 finale. That makes this a big winner for Blumhouse and Amazon,...

Closed mouths don't get fed, especially in Hollywood. So, when an actor wants to be part of a dream project, they must let it be known. That's exactly what Kevin Bacon, who has no plans to slow down at 66, did after hearing Rob Reiner was making a sequel to This Is Spinal Tap. The 1984 mockumentary comedy, although it wasn't a hit at the box office, developed a cult following after its VHS release and is said to be one of the first movies to popularize the genre. It's about the ups and downs of an English rock band trying to get back on the charts in documentary style. Bacon is a fan of the classic movie, and was determined to play "one of the exploding drummers," but didn't get the part.

Spoiler Alert: This interview contains mild spoilers about this season of “The Bondsman,” now available to stream on Prime Video.
The new series “The Bondsman” stars Kevin Bacon as Hub Halloran, a recently-murdered bondsman who is granted fresh life by Satan, as long as he uses his tracking skills to hunt down and kill demons who have escaped from the underworld. That’s a hell of a premise, but this show has much more on its mind than just monsters-of-the-week, diving deep into Hub’s relationship with his ex-wife and son and his love-hate relationship with the country music industry.
The surprises start at the top. At first, Bacon’s macho lead role seems like a run-of-the-mill badass: All one-liners, muscles and cool-guy poses. But that was only half of the appeal for the veteran actor.

One of the year’s boldest and most unique new shows, “The Bondsman,” has finally arrived. The genre-bending offering from Amazon’s Prime Video is a supernatural horror-action series with a fittingly surreal tone, darkly comedic edge and a whiskey-soaked helping of good old-fashioned country twang. Whether its unlikely cocktail of wildly different genre elements works for you or not, “The Bondsman” promises to be unlike any other TV series coming out this year.
It features more than a few faces you might recognize from past shows and movies, too. Here are all of the characters you need to know in “The Bondsman,” as well as the actors who play them.

From Mrs. Voorhees and Graboids to Maxine Minx and The Toxic Avenger, Kevin Bacon has faced many formidable foes on screen, but he’s never had a role quite like “The Bondsman.”
He stars as Hub Halloran, a murdered bounty hunter who’s resurrected by the Devil to send back demons that have escaped from Hell. With the help of Jennifer Nettles as his estranged wife, Maxwell Jenkins as their son, Beth Grant as his mother, and Jolene Purdy as Hell’s emissary, Hub pursues a second chance at life.
“Because I always come to things from an acting standpoint, it really has to be about the character,” says Bacon.
“Are these people that we can relate to? These people don’t have superpowers. These are regular people who are trying to live their lives. But all of a sudden, there’s this extraordinary situation that they’re thrown into.

Kevin Bacon has played a lot of iconic characters over the course of his career, from Ren McCormack in “Footloose” to Val McKee in “Tremors.” But the chance to step into the shoes of the “badass” undead bounty hunter Hub Halloran in Prime Video’s “The Bondsman” was an opportunity that the actor says immediately piqued his interest.

Blumhouse's never-ending slate of projects has continued most recently with their latest collaboration with Prime Video, The Bondsman. Starring the iconic Kevin Bacon as a grumpy bounty hunter, Hub Halloran, who must adapt his ways to start hunting demons, The Bondsman boasts an impressive ensemble cast that includes the likes of Damon Herriman, Jennifer Nettles, Beth Grant, Maxwell Jenkins, and Jolene Purdy.
An enticing premise and strong ensemble have clearly paid off for Blumhouse, with the series already returning a positive score from review aggregator Rotten Tomatoes, with critics awarding The Bondsman an 85% score so far. From top critics alone, the series boasts a less-impressive 60%, albeit from just five reviews. The latter score is closer to the review from Collider's Aidan Kelley, who gave the series a 6/10 and cited great supporting characters and a promising finale as positives but a lack of world-building and originality as negatives. Kelley concluded:...

Kevin Bacon's job may be to hunt demons in Prime Video's new series The Bondsman, but he's also got a score to settle regarding his murder. The new show produced by Blumhouse Television follows the Tremors star as Hub Halloran, a gruff former bounty hunter with a habit of playing dirty who finally slips up and meets his end at the hands of a band of criminals ordered by Lucky (Damon Herriman) to do him in. When he's resurrected by the Devil to hunt for Hell's escapees, it's a second chance at life for him, and an opportunity to confront the people who killed him. The Bondsman star Kevin Bacon recently talked about his personal experience of owning a haunted house. According to the Hollywood icon, it was rather fascinating.
During an appearance on Mythical Kitchen's Last Meal, Bacon responded to the notion that there is a non-zero chance that he actually killed a demon in real life after having purchased and demolished what was supposedly a haunted farmhouse. "It wasn't my choice, believe me," Bacon said. "It was the seller, who was not willing to sell this place unless I tore the house down because he believed that it was possessed."
"He had somebody to come by and rid the house of demons, but I guess he thought that didn't work," Bacon explained. "His concern, 'cause he lived across the road, was that if we lived in this house, we would become possessed. Then, the energy of our monsters would come across the road and kill him.

The Bondsman, releasing on Amazon Prime Video on April 4, 2025, is the story of a bounty hunter who dies and is resurrected to become a hunter of demons for the Devil. It resembles a mix of Supernatural, True Blood, and Preacher. Blumhouse Productions, known for horror, is part of the production team. This series is set in modern-day Georgia.
The Bondsman is a fun show with interesting characters. Each one has their own frailties and quirks. There are some nice music choices to go with each episode and plenty of humor. Horror fans will enjoy the action, gore, and intrigue. At times the characters' actions are hard to believe or predictable. I didn’t find that intrusive enough to prevent me from enjoying the show.

Constantine meets The Evil Dead might be the best way to describe The Bondsman, the new Blumhouse Television series starring Kevin Bacon as a bounty hunter who comes back from the dead to mend his fractured family, rediscover his love of country music, and use his skills to track down demons who have escaped from Hell (all while trying not to get sent back to Hell himself).

“The Bondsman” follows Bacon’s character Hub Halloran, “a murdered bounty hunter who’s back from the dead after being resurrected by the Devil to trap and send back demons that have escaped from the prison of Hell.”
Per the logline, “By chasing down those demons with the help and hindrance of his estranged family, Hub learns how his own sins got his soul condemned — which pushes him to seek a second chance at life, love, and country music.”
The series also stars series regulars Beth Grant, Damon Herriman, Maxwell Jenkins and Jolene Purdy.
Barnes also stars in the BET+ dark comedy “Average Joe” and boasts credits like “Queer as Folk,” “The Glorias” and “Moonshot.” Kaye has appeared in “She-Hulk,” “Mo” and “To Catch a Killer.

To the uneven extent that Amazon’s The Bondsman works, it’s thanks primarily to Kevin Bacon’s effortlessly winning lead turn as Hub Halloran, the titular country musician turned bounty hunter turned undead demon killer.
The star is able to land the show’s humor with a well-timed grunt, and its emotions with the perfect hangdog expression. He looks damn cool when he’s lighting up monsters with his trusty shotgun, but also slightly, endearingly pathetic when he’s not. Such is his charisma that he’s nearly able to make this whole strange jumble of tones and tunes and supernatural gore sing, through sheer force of will.
Nearly, that is, but not quite. Outside of Bacon’s performance, the horror dramedy is more of a mixed bag — fitfully amusing but rarely as funny or heartfelt or surprising as it wants to be, and never as memorable as its...

The logline for Blumhouse and Prime Video’s action horror series “The Bondsman” is an instant attention grabber. Kevin Bacon stars as a backwoods bounty hunter who gets a second lease on life when he’s resurrected by the Devil to hunt demons and send them back to Hell. That each of the eight episodes runs roughly 30-minutes long also suggests pulpy demonic fun. Despite a strong cast and a fascinatingly flawed antihero, though, showrunner Erik Oleson’s (“Daredevil”) series struggles with its truncated form and frequently puts its horror elements on the back burner.
Bacon plays Hub Halloran, a rural Georgia bounty hunter who plays dirty when it comes to catching his targets. When we meet him, he’s flushing out his latest at a seedy motel with a hornet’s nest. Despite the calm confidence of doing the gig for so long, Hub is ambushed and meets a grisly demise.

Review: There have been a lot of series over the years that have tried to combine horror and comedy. When you throw in the idea of a protagonist being enlisted to hunt down demons and send them back to Hell, you can count the 1998 Fox series Brimstone and the 2007 CW show Reaper amongst similar concepts. Even Ash vs. Evil Dead had a good balance of the genres, though it did lean more towards comedy, unlike the grim Brimstone. Striking the right amount of levity and chills can...

No one will mistake The Bondsman for the next Supernatural, but it’s the closest we’ve gotten in a while—maybe even the most enjoyable. The new Kevin Bacon series embraces an engaging monster-of-the-week format, featuring demons running amok and serving up a satisfying blend of horror and thriller fun.
It also helps that Kevin Bacon leads the show with his signature laid-back charm and effortless charisma, making him instantly watchable. While The Bondsman takes a few episodes to find its groove, it ultimately becomes a monster mash of thrills, chills, and howls, keeping the story fresh and entertaining for viewers.

From Friday the 13th and Tremors to Stir of Echos and Hollow Man to MaXXXine and The Toxic Avenger, Kevin Bacon can’t seem to escape the horror genre — and he’s just fine with that.
While promoting his new action-horror-thriller series “The Bondsman,” I asked Bacon about the attraction of horror.
“I think it’s life or death. I think that it’s a way to experience something and really feel,” the actor notes.
“When I started first experiencing horror, every time I would do it, it would be in the company of a bunch of people in a dark room in a movie theater. And when you share that experience of everybody going, “Ah!” They jump at something, and then right afterwards they laugh at the fact that they all collectively jumped at that thing.
