I Origins (2014) highlights Ian Gray, a molecular biologist fascinated with the evolution of the human eye, whose rational worldview is challenged after a brief, but intense, romantic relationship with the mysterious Sofi. Sofi’s tragic, premature death leaves Ian with guilt, anguish, and reminiscences; images of their domestic partnership, longing to revisit their time together. Years later, a series of scientific anomalies, coincidences, led him on a quest that borders both science and spirituality. Ian, along with Karen, his research partner and eventually his wife, stumbles into the compelling evidence of reincarnation through a series of biometric iris scans.
