Sheldon enters a role-playing game contest at the local comic shop but is annoyed when he finds out that Star Trek actor Wil Wheaton is participating, because Wil cancelled his appearance at a sci-fi convention that Sheldon had attended as a child. Meanwhile, Leonard asks Penny to set Howard up with one of her friends.
9.00pm The Ogre (Sci-Fi Channel)
One part M. Night Shyamalan’s The Village, and one part b-movie monster flick, Ogre tells the tale of a small unknown village under a spell that gives them eternal life as long as they sacrifice one person per year to the ogre. They never age, they can’t have kids, and they apparently can never progress in technology.

During a meteor shower said to be the most spectacular in 10, 000 years, a rogue asteroid strikes the moon, knocking its orbit out of kilter. Scientists soon discover that the moon’s new trajectory will cause it to collide with Earth in 39 days, and plan an international mission to restore it to its original path. Part One of Two.
