Katrina: Come Hell and High Water will be a three-part series with three directors, including Spike Lee. Here’s everything we know so far about the documentary.

The series is focused on the impact of Hurricane Katrina on New Orleans, which, thanks to government neglect, left the city defenseless against a storm of such magnitude. Inside Llewyn Davis
Joel and Ethan Coen drop most of the sarcasm for their deeply felt character study. Everything's a big problem for Llewyn: a girl (Carey Mulligan), various agents, fellow performers, and a cat. I find Oscar Isaac's Llewyn to be wholly sympathetic, and that cat business is deeper than it looks. The terrific extras include a complete concert docu. Artwork Premiere and First Details on Caesar and Otto's Paranormal Halloween
Indie horror's favorite duo, Caesar and Otto, are back, and now that they've tackled Summer Camp and Christmas, they're turning their attention to Halloween!

From the Press Release

Following Wild Eye Releasing's successful release of Caesar and Otto's Deadly Xmas for the 2013 Christmas season, the distributor is once again teaming with the titular half brothers as they take on the supernatural during the spookiest time of the year in Caesar and Otto's Paranormal Halloween.

Many of the cast and crew behind Deadly Xmas will be returning for this new installment as well. Dave Campfield, whom Josh Pasnak of Video Graveyard hails as "one of the more impressive talents to come out of the indie scene in a while," returns to direct and star (as Caesar), and he will write the screenplay from a story he co-wrote with Joe Randazzo (returning from Deadly Xmas and fresh off his Golden Palm nomination...

Inside Llewyn Davis Featurette with T-Bone Burnett
Justin Timberlake
Back in November, we showed you three clips from Joel Coen and Ethan Coen's 1960s folk music drama Inside Llewyn Davis, one of which featured the full song "Please Mr. Kennedy," performed by Justin Timberlake, Oscar Isaac and Adam Driver. Today, we have a new featurette that features that full performance once again, along with T-Bone Burnett explaining how he and Justin Timberlake turned an obscure 1960s song about Vietnam into this catchy tune about the Space Race. He also explains that the scene was actually a live recording that they ended up using for the finished film.

Inside Llewyn Davis was released December 6th, 2013 and stars Oscar Isaac, Carey Mulligan, Justin Timberlake, Ethan Phillips, Robin Bartlett, Max Casella, Jerry Grayson, Jeanine Serralles. The film is directed by Ethan Coen, Joel Coen.

Inside Llewyn Davis Review
Oscar Isaac in Inside Llewyn Davis (2013)
Film: "Inside Llewyn Davis"; Cast: Oscar Isaac, Carey Mulligan, John Goodman, Garrett Hedlund, F. Murray Abraham, Justin Timberlake, Max Casella, Jerry Grayson, Robin Bartlett, Ethan Phillips, Stark Sands, Adam Driver, Jeanine Serralles; Directors: Joel and Ethan Coen; Rating: *** - simply interesting!

Loosely based on the life of American folk singer Dave Van Ronk, directors Joel and Ethan Coen's "Inside Llewyn Davis" is a fictional piece that is a fitting tribute to a period and place, which is at the crossroads of cultural change.

The story is from the perspective of an obstinate man, Llewyn Davis who is.

Coens' Latest Movie Offers 'Deepest Dive into Characterization' in Several Years: Review
‘Inside Llewyn Davis’: The Coen Brothers’ ‘deepest dive into characterization’ since ‘A Serious Man’ (photo: Oscar Isaac in ‘Inside Llewyn Davis’) Since the Coen Brothers are quintessentially American filmmakers, it’s apropos to use a baseball analogy to note that they enjoy the best batting average of any American filmmakers this side of Bronx-born Stanley Kubrick (or maybe Martin Scorsese or the remarkable early run of Rob Reiner). But whereas Kubrick reinvented every genre he tackled, Joel and Ethan Coen have become a genre of their own. With visual and thematic precision, they’ve sometimes mordantly, oftentimes violently, and always brilliantly extracted and clarified the key attributes of almost every category of American film, including the classic Western (True Grit), the gangster saga (Miller’s Crossing), the noir thriller (Blood Simple) and the screwball comedy (The Hudsucker Proxy). For their latest, Inside Llewyn Davis, the Coens recreate the nascent...

Oscar Isaac in Inside Llewyn Davis (2013)
Cannes 2013: The Coen brothers' 'Inside Llewyn Davis' is a close-to-the-bone tale of the early-'60s New York folk scene, but it is also (what else?) a perverse Coen stunt
Oscar Isaac in Inside Llewyn Davis (2013)
Joel and Ethan Coen have never made a movie that didn’t have at least a few big bubbles of perversity percolating through it. That said, one of the ways that I divide their work in my mind is that there are the Coen brothers films in which the perversity stays, for the most part, just below the surface (Blood Simple, Fargo, A Serious Man), which tend to be the Coen brothers movies that I love best. And there are the ones in which perversity stands up and pokes you in the eye (Barton Fink, The Hudsucker Proxy, O Brother,...
