Vinegar Syndrome will release Murderock and The Nesting on 4K Ultra HD + Blu-ray on May 27.

Murderock (also known as Murder Rock: Dancing Death) has been newly restored in 4K from its 35mm original camera negative with Dolby Vision Hdr.

Italian master of horror Lucio Fulci directs from a script he co-wrote with Gianfranco Clerici (Cannibal Holocaust), Vincenzo Mannino (The New York Ripper), and Roberto Gianviti (Don’t Torture a Duckling).

Olga Karlatos, Ray Lovelock, Claudio Cassinelli, Cosimo Cinieri, and Giuseppe Mannajuolo star in the 1984 giallo.

It’s time for a new episode of the Wtf Happened to This Adaptation? video series, and with this one we’re looking back to 1985 to see how a Stephen King “novelette” called Cycle of the Werewolf became the 1985 film Silver Bullet (watch it Here). Directed by Dan Attias from a screenplay written by Stephen King himself, Silver Bullet has the following synopsis: When a series of unexplained murders occurs in the normally quiet town of Tarker’s Mill, the residents decide to hunt down the killer. However, many of these vigilantes end up dead, and those who don’t are no closer to finding an assailant. But, when a young wheelchair-using boy named Marty encounters a werewolf one night, the pieces begin to come together.

A new episode of the Best Horror Movie You Never Saw video series has just been released, and with this one we’re taking a look back at a werewolf movie that’s one of the more underrated entries in the sub-genre despite the fact that it was inspired by a Stephen King story. “Silver Bullet”, based on a Stephen King novella “Cycle of the Werewolf”, is a worthy entry in the werewolf sub genre of horror. A good chunk of werewolf films are rather predictable in having the werewolves being the complete center of attention from start to finish but “Silver Bullet” takes the opposite route. The film has a lot of suspense building up to the eventual reveal, which I liked. I don’t know why I hadn’t watched this film before until now but I am glad I did.

The Nesting tells the story of Lauren Cochran (Robin Groves), a mystery writer suffering from agoraphobia. Instead of confronting her condition, she rents an mansion in upstate New York to concentrate on her new novel, pushing her further into isolation.

Once she arrives, things get weird: The old man who owns the house (John Carradine) reacts strangely to her wanting to rent it and there seems to be something in the house, only nobody else notices. Even her boyfriend Mark (Christopher Loomis) seems to think she’s losing it.

Lauren Cochran has to be one of the strangest and most stubborn heroines in any film I’ve seen. Robin Groves imbues her with a bit of what made Christina Rains in The Sentinel work, and this film owes a lot to that movie. Yes, the character needs to exorcise some demons and prove to herself she isn’t crazy, but...

After a theatrical run and some limited success upon the film's initial VHS release from Warner Home Video, The Nesting became long obscure. Well that changes now! The Nesting is finally hitting DVD and Blu-Ray shelves on June 28 from Blue Underground.

In The Nesting, a mystery writer finds herself mysteriously drawn to an isolated mansion. She leaves New York to move into the eerie Victorian mansion, once a brothel haunted by the ghost of a madam Florinda Costello (Gloria Grahame) along with an assortment of dead prostitutes. The ex-brothel is the scene of several gory killings, witnessed by the writer.

The Nesting is one of thousands of horror films that has never been released on DVD, that is until now, because Blue Underground is putting it out and you have the nice option of a pristine Blu-ray if you like.

A writer suffering from agoraphobia rents an isolated house so she can concentrate on her writing. She doesn’t know that the house is a former brothel, and is inhabited by the ghosts of dead prostitutes.
