Julián Figueroa: Mexican entertainer dies suddenly aged 27

Mexican entertainer Julián Figueroa has died at the age of 27.

The country’s actors’ guild (La Asociación Nacional de Actores) released a statement on social media announcing his death.

“The Asociación Nacional de Actores mourns the passing of our young member Julián Figueroa,” it wrote.

“Our condolances to his mother, family, friends and colleagues. Rest in peace.”

According to People magazine, Figueroa died on Sunday (9 April) in Mexico City.

An actor and singer, he had released several records with a band, and was in the process of recording his debut solo album. Recently, he was known for starring in the soap opera Mi camino es amarte.

Figueroa’s mother disclosed on Instagram that died of acute myocardial infarction and ventricular fibrillation.

The late musician was the son of late singer Joan Sebastian and actor Maribel Guardia.

On Instagram, Guardia shared a tribute to her son following his death.

Julián Figueroa’s cause of death has been revealed by his mother Maribel Guardia a day after the singer and actor was found unconscious at his home.

Guardia, who is a beloved star in México, broke her silence on social media giving details of her son’s death.

“I’m sorry to have to report the departure of my beloved son Julián Figueroa, who unfortunately has left us,” she wrote on Instagram. “They found him unconscious in his room while I was [working] in the theater. They called 911 and when the ambulance and police got here they found him lifeless, with no trail of violence.”

Guardia continued, “Medical personal say he died of acute myocardial infarction and ventricular fibrillation.”

Guardia asked the media to respect her privacy during this “painful moment” but “appreciates all the messages of support and love” she has received. Funeral services will be held privately.

Figueroa was was 27 years old.

Julián Figueroa, singer-songwriter and Mi Camino Es Amarte telenovela actor, has died. He was 27.

The guild for performers in México known as Andi confirmed the death of Figueroa on Sunday night.

“The National Association of Performers communicates the death of member Julián Figueroa,” read the tweet in Spanish. “Actor and singer, has launched various albums like ‘Julián Figueroa y su banda.’ To his family and friends, our sincerest condolences.”

Figueroa had just been appearing until recently on Univision’s primetime soap Mi Camino Es Amarte where he played the character of Leonardo Santos, an aspiring singer.

The actor was found dead in his home in México City. No cause of death has been reported.

Carmen Salinas, whose long career in Spanish language television and film spanned 60 years, died Thursday night. She had been in a coma since suffering a stroke in November, and her death was announced on social media by her family.

At least the title of Terror and Black Lace isn’t entirely misleading. There is, after all, some terror. And there is some black lace. But, in the same way that Luis Alcoriza’s 1985 film is mostly domestic drama and then only partially and haphazardly horror, this film is far more concerned with lingerie than horror.
