It was a not-so-heavenly reveal four seasons in the making!

During the first half of Superstore‘s two-part series finale, Amy and the employees stumbled upon a duffel bag full of feet — the latest instance of severed limbs turning up at Store 1217. This news ought to put “Superstore” fans on Cloud 9: America Ferrera is returning to the NBC comedy for its March 25 series finale.

Ferrera played the lead role, Amy Sosa, for the majority of the sitcom’s six-season run. She was also an executive producer on the show before exiting.

“Superstore” will conclude with a one-hour series finale on Thursday, March 25 at 8 p.m. on NBC.

Though the show won’t go on (beyond March), the relationships between “Superstore” executive producers and Universal Television (Utv) will. Justin Spitzer, Gabe Miller and Jonathan Green renewed their overall deals with the studio last year, and Spitzer is continuing his relationship with NBC with his upcoming series “American Auto.”

Fellow “Superstore” executive producers David Bernad and Ruben Fleischer currently serve as exec producers on Utv’s “The Bold Type,” which airs on Disney cable channel Freeform. Victor Nelli, Jr. also serves as an executive producer on “Superstore.

Fear not, “Superstore” fans: Amy (America Ferrera) will get the sendoff she deserves — whenever TV production is able to happen again, at least.

Executive producers, of which Ferrera is still one (for now), told EW that the slightly shortened Season 5 will not serve as Amy’s farewell. Ferrera will bid the NBC sitcom adieu on the Season 6 premiere.

“It ended up not really being much of a bummer at all because pretty immediately we decided that America would be coming back,” Jonathan Green told Entertainment Weekly. “She really wanted to come back and do the planned finale as our first episode of next season. The current season of “Superstore” will be the last for America Ferrera.

The actress has played Amy on the comedy series about employees at a big box store since the series premiered in 2015. The NBC series will continue on without her as both star and executive producer after Season 5, as it was recently renewed for a sixth season.

Her last episode will be the Season 5 finale, which airs Thursday, April 16 at 8 p.m. Et/Pt on NBC.

NBC has renewed “Superstore” for a sixth season.

The sitcom is currently airing Season 5.

Justin Spitzer is the creator and also executive produces along with star America Ferrera, director Ruben Fleischer and David Bernad. Gabe Miller and Jonathan Green also serve as executive producers and co-showrunners. It’s produced by Universal Television, Spitzer Holding Company, Miller Green Broadcasting and The District.

The series has been running since 2015, and follows the lives of employees who work in a big box store.

Miller and Green took over as co-showrunners of the workplace in April, while Spitzer shifts his focus to new development for Universal Television.

“Superstore” actress Linda Porter has died, her representatives have confirmed to Variety. She was 86.

Porter, who also appeared in “Twin Peaks: The Return,” “Mercy,” “American Horror Story,” “The Suite Life on Deck,” “Gilmore Girls” and other series dating back to the late 1980s, most recently played Myrtle on “Superstore.” She appeared in 35 episodes as a store employee in the NBC comedy.

The actress has portrayed Myrtle on the NBC workplace comedy since its first season. The character was laid off from the Cloud 9 big box store in Season 3, but continued to recur throughout much of Season 4 as well, most recently in the season finale earlier this year.

“Linda wasn’t just hilarious, she was incredibly sweet, energetic and enthusiastic. Working with her brightened everyone’s day,”executive producers Jonathan Green and Gabe Miller said in a statement. “We’re lucky to have been a small part of her long career. The ‘Superstore’ family won’t be the same without her.”

Linda Porter, a character actress who appeared in dozens of TV series and feature films and was perhaps best known for her role as Myrtle in NBC’s Superstore, died Wednesday after a long battle with cancer. She was 86.

Porter most recently was seen in her recurring role as Cloud 9 employee Myrtle Vartanian in the May 16 Season 4 finale of Superstore. Fan favorite Myrtle had recently been rehired as new manager Amy’s (America Ferrera) assistant after being laid off in Season 3 and then brought back as a customer-greeting hologram.

Since Season 1, Porter had appeared in 35 episodes of the NBC comedy series, which returned for its fifth season last night. She had not filmed any Season 5 episodes before her death. The ensemble comedy will likely pay tribute to one of its guest-starring MVPs next week.
