Rama Rajamouli is an Indian costume designer and film stylist. She debuted with the 2001 film Student No: 1, directed by her husband, the most celebrated Telugu director SS Rajamouli. Rama is known for her work in the films Magadheera (2009), Eega (2012), Baahubali: The Beginning (2015), Baahubali 2: The Conclusion (2017), and Rrr (2022).

She has also worked as an additional dialogue writer and has a connection with the TV industry. Rama entered the industry in 2001 as an actor by doing various small roles in the TV sitcom Amrutham, created and produced by her cousin Gangaraju Gunnam. She played a newsreader in Amrutham and appeared as a news presenter in one of the initial episodes of the show.

SS Rajamouli’s wife also appeared in another episode as a homemaker and shared screen space with the late artist Gundu Hanumantha Rao.

Malavika Nair will be paired opposite Kalyan Dev in this untitled venture. The film will be bankrolled by Sai Korrapati under his banner Varahi Chalana Chitram. Speaking on the occasion of the film’s launch, he was quoted as saying, “We are very happy and delighted to produce Kalyaan Dhev’s first project under our Vaaraahi Chalana Chitram banner. Our entire team is excited to have Chiranjeevi garu and Rajamouli garu gracing the event to wish us. This Production No 12 will be a very special project with many attractions and a good script prepared by Rakesh Sashi.” It may be mentioned here that the ace producer has several blockbuster hits under his belt including Eega, Andala Rakshasi, Legend, Oohalu Gusagusalade, Dikkulu Choodaku Ramayya, Raja Cheyyi Vesthe, Manamantha / Vismayam, and Yuddham Sharanam. Kalyan Dev is Chiru’s son-in-law having married his youngest daughter Sreeja in 2016. He is an industrialist who has decided to follow the footsteps of his megastar father-in-law Chiranjeevi and brother-in-law Ram Charan Teja.

Ever since a pic of director SS Rajamouli flanked by Tollywood stars Jr Ntr and Ram Charan Teja made it to the media, there have been various speculations about their upcoming film together.

Reports suggest that the film will be a sports drama and it will be penned by popular writer Gunnam Gangaraju with Rajamouli’s father Vijayendra Prasad overseeing its development.
