  • (1991) Nana Patekar had written a script about a politician (Amitabh Bachchan) and his mentally challenged younger brother (Kamal Hassan). Also starring Dimple Kapadia, Madhuri Dixit. The film was titled "Yagya" and Nana Patekar was going to write and direct the film. The movie was dropped when Amitabh decided Khuda Gawah would be his last release.

(himself) ; but due to some undisclosed reasons. ; the film was later got shelved out.

Starring Amitabh Bachchan, Mithun Chakraborthy (Replaced Randhir Kapoor),Kamal Haasan,Parveen Babi, Story by Prayag Raaj, Screenplay by K.K.Shukla,Dialogue by Kader Khan, Cinematography by Jal Mistry, Lyrics by Anand Bakshi,Music by Laxmikant Pyarelal, Produced by Yash Johar, Directed by Manmohan Desai.
  • (1983) Kamal Haasan,Javed Akhtar and Shekhar Kapur had planned to get together and produce a fantasy film along the lines of Asterix and Obelix. But Javed Akhtar saw Masoom then saw some of Kamal's south film's and decided if they wasting Kamal and Shekhar's talent in a fantasy film. They should make a film on sensitive project. The film never materialized
  • (1988) Both K.C. Bokadia and B.Subhash wanted to remake Fatal Attraction with Sri Devi in the lead. Sri Devi gave the okay to B.Subhash but K.C.Bokadia told Sri Devi that Kamal Haasan had said yes to his project. The films were never made.
  • (2001) Kamal Haasan and Preity Zinta were first signed for Shankar's "Robot". A photo session was also done. Shankar was busy with Nayak and decided to post pone the project.
