Martín Halac serves as Senior Vice President of Content and Production for Imagina US, the Americas division of Imagina Group, a European leader in the entertainment industry, focused on providing the best audiovisual one-stop-shop, covering clients' production, post-production, technical and commercial needs. Halac has over 25 years of experience in the television industry, specializing in the US Hispanic and Latin American markets.
As SVP, Halac is responsible for the creation, development, production and co-production of scripted and non-scripted programming for the US Hispanic and Latin American markets. He's developed original new formats of different genres including drama, comedy, reality, game and talk shows. He also oversees project development, content budget and sales for local and co-production opportunities in México and US Hispanic market.
Before joining Imagina US, Halac worked as Content Director for Once Puntos in Buenos Aires, Argentina. From 2000 to 2002 he was responsible for the overall direction of the company shows including creative development, budget, talent search, script analysis, set design and shooting. He worked on prime-time television shows like "La Bibila y el Calefón" and "Peor es Nada", both producing highly successful ratings and positive reviews from the media and audience.
From 1993 to 2000, Halac served as Director and Producer for Artear S.A., Channel 13, number one free television network in Argentina. He was responsible for managing the production crews and acted as a liaison between programming, technical, production and creative departments. During this time, he also directed and produced scripted and non-scripted television shows across various genres including "Sueltos", "Hombre de Mar", "Calientes", "Alas", "Sorpresa y Media", "Montaña Rusa", "Amigovios", "Telepasillo", "Millenium Day", "La Biblia y el Calefón", "Peor es Nada", among others.
Halac started his career working as a production assistant in Buenos Aires from 1988 to 1993. During these years, he successfully fulfilled his role and gained vast industry knowledge that helped him launch his career.
Halac studied Film Direction at Universidad del Cine and Social Communication at Universidad de Buenos Aires. Aside from his work responsibilities, Halac is also an acting coach for the Actor's Workshop - an extracurricular activity he's enjoyed doing since 2006.
