The original Pokmon anime, starring the energetic Ash Ketchum and his beloved Pikachu, is often bright and adventurous as the duo travel around the world and meet new friends (and foes). However, the franchise sometimes works with more complicated themes, such as when Ash finds that his newest "foe" is actually a scared young girl named Molly Hale. With that shift in tone, Pokmon: Spell of the Unown becomes an adventure that neither Ash nor viewers will soon forget.
Featuring friends new and old (as well as Team Rocket accidentally becoming involved), Ash and company must trek to territory taken by the Unown, the mysterious Psychic-type Pokmon species with untold power and secrets that no one can truly decipher. To the surprise of the heroes, the Volcano Pokmon Entei is working against them, protecting Molly and her dreamscape. With high stakes and an uncertain outcome, the group (and the audience) are sure to be spellbound.

While the Pokémon anime focuses a lot on young characters like Ash, little is revealed about many of the older characters like Delia Ketchum. Did they once go on Pokémon adventures of their own? In Delia's case, she very nearly became a Pokémon professor, according to one early Pokémon movie.
Ash's mother has never really been shown to have much interest in Pokémon. She gets along with them quite well, as many of Ash's Pokémon seem to love her as if she was their own mother, and she befriended and caught her Mr. Mime without any battling. Still, she doesn't seem to watch Pokémon tournaments aside from when Ash is competing, and mostly lives a quiet life at home in Pallet Town, not far from Professor Oak's Lab.

As it turns out, her proximity to Oak's lab isn't a coincidence.
