Toy Story 5 Confirms Return Of Key Character Forky
Image
One of the characters newer to the landmark animated franchise will be returning for Toy Story 5, as previously speculated and recently confirmed by the voice actor. Toy Story seemingly ended with both the third and fourth installments, but the franchise hasn't seen a bad movie yet, and a new story has taken shape, which will release in theaters on June 19, 2026.

Toy Story 5's cast is expected to once again include Tom Hanks as Woody, Tim Allen as Buzz Lightyear, and Joan Cusack as Jessie, alongside other actors who have voiced these characters across the series. It was also previously announced that Conan O'Brien would be playing a new Toy Story character, though details about this character are scarce.

Meanwhile, while promoting his new movie Sketch on The Discourse podcast, Tony Hale confirmed that his character Forky will be returning for Toy Story 5. Forky was introduced in the previous installment,...

Toy Story 5 Confirms a Major Character Returning With The Best Quote in the Franchise
Image
Tony Hale is returning to voice Forky in Toy Story 5. Joining The Discourse Podcast, the actor revealed that he’s done voicing his lines for the upcoming installment in the franchise, which will head to theatres next summer.

I recorded it a month ago

Although the third entry in the franchise pretty much tied up all loose ends, delivering an impactful conclusion to a story that raised generations, Pixar gambled with a fourth movie, and Forky was arguably its biggest standout. And it won’t be a stretch to say that he’s one of the most quotable Pixar characters to date, renowned for his catchphrase “I’m trash”.

Even though it remains unclear how the story will move forward in the wake of Woody’s departure from the main crew, as many expected, Bonnie’s favorite toy will grace the big screens next summer.

Forky Will Be Instrumental...

Sketch Review: Tony Hale and D’arcy Carden lead the best live-action family film in years
Image
Plot: Grief and creativity collide when a single dad, still reeling from the unexpected loss of his wife, navigates uncharted territory with his daughter, who is grappling with the sudden loss of her mother and retreats into her sketchbook drawing monsters as a way to cope with overwhelming emotions. When her sketches begin to come to life, strange and terrifying figures emerge, unleashing chaos on her small town. With the help of her father and a few loyal friends, she must learn to face her feelings and find healing within herself.

Review: Making movies about tough subjects like grief is challenging, but incorporating them into a kid-friendly film can be daunting. Sketch, the feature directorial debut from Seth Worley, aims to tell a story about grief and dealing with the loss of a close family member in a tale full of fantastical creatures. Combining live action with creatively animated monsters,...

Image
It's been two years since Disney confirmed a third trip to Salem was in the works following the success of Hocus Pocus 2, yet the Sanderson Sisters' brooms remain grounded, according to Sarah Jessica Parker. During her appearance on Andy Cohen's Watch What Happens Live on Sunday, the star provided a rare update on the witchy threequel when answering a viewer question from two London-based fans. The good news is that the film is still happening, with Bette Midler and Kathy Najimy likely to reprise their roles alongside her. However, there's been little movement since the initial announcement, meaning viewers won't be seeing the Sandersons again anytime soon.

"No more developments, other than we would like to do it," Parker said during the show. As far as where the film was in the development process, she reiterated that, "We would like to do it, and we've been having some conversations.

The forthcoming show has set its release date, which will premiere on Disney Jr. on Monday, August 11, then on Disney+ the following day. The animated series will feature and follow Iron Man/Tony Stark, Ironheart/Riri Williams, and Iron Hulk/Amadeus Cho as the series' main characters and resident tech geniuses.

According to Marvel, the show “follows the adventures (and misadventures) of best friends and super geniuses—Tony Stark, Riri Williams, and...

Mel Brooks loves ‘Hidden Figures’?! Julianne Moore’s a ‘Superbad’ fan?! Stars reveal their most surprising Nyt movie picks
Image
When The New York Times recently dropped its list of the 100 Best Movies of the 21st Century, it didn’t just spark film buff debates — it also gave readers a peek into which movies actors, directors, and creatives listed as their favorites. And let’s just say, the results are full of surprises.

Who would’ve guessed that comedy legend Mel Brooks — the mind behind Blazing Saddles and The Producers — is a major fan of Hidden Figures? His top 10 also includes Jojo Rabbit, A Beautiful Mind and The Bourne Identity.

Then there’s horror king Stephen King, who proved he has a soft side with Brokeback Mountain on his list, alongside more intense films such as Black Hawk Down, Million Dollar Baby, and Oppenheimer.

When Oscar winner Julianne Moore needs a laugh, it appears she turns to comedies Superbad and The 40 Year-Old Virgin. Rounding out her list was also stylish dramas like Black Swan,...

A24’s Latest Horror Flop Featuring 'The Bear' Star, 29, Gets Streaming Release Date
Image
After a stellar 2024 marked by critically acclaimed hits like Civil War, Sing Sing, and Baby Girl, expectations were high for what A24 would deliver next. But as 2025 arrived, the indie powerhouse stumbled out of the gate. Its first major release of the year, Opus, landed with more of a whimper than a bang. Despite boasting two of the most in-demand talents in the business in Ayo Edebiri and John Malkovich, the film premiered at the Sundance Film Festival in January to a wave of mixed reviews. That lukewarm reception set the tone for its theatrical run, where Opus failed to gain traction at the box office. Now, four months later, the film is set to land on streaming, where broader exposure might offer it a second chance to find an audience.

Written and directed by Mark Anthony Green in his feature directorial debut, Opus follows "a young writer (Edebiri) who...

First Toy Story 5 Footage Reveals Opening Scene, Multiple Buzz Lightyears Stranded On An Island
Image
Toy Story 5's opening scene was recently revealed, showing multiple Buzz Lightyears taking center stage as they become stranded on an island. After getting its start back in 1995, the Toy Storyfranchise is now gearing up for another adventure with Woody and Buzz, with the film's story said to involve the toys contending with new technology. Andrew Stanton and McKenna Harris direct Toy Story 5 from a script by Stanton, with voice cast members including Tom Hanks, Tim Allen, Joan Cusack, Ernie Hudson, Tony Hale, Conan O'Brien, and Blake Clark.

As part of an exclusive presentation that ScreenRant attended in New York City earlier this month along with other media outlets, chief creative officer Pete Doctor shared new details about Toy Story 5, including screening the opening scene. It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia's Crew Once Made A Chaotic Pilot For A Star Trek Parody
Image
Captain James T. Kirk opens the original "Star Trek" series with these immortal words: "Space: the final frontier. These are the voyages of the starship Enterprise. Its five-year mission: to explore strange new worlds; to seek out new life and new civilizations; to boldly go where no man has gone before!" The excellent "Star Trek: Strange New Worlds" takes its title from Captain Kirk's intro, but it's not the only show to draw inspiration from this opening narration (though you might be surprised to learn which series I'm referring to here).

In the wake of the meteoric success of "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia" season 3, 20th Century Fox was interested in anything the show's creators -- Rob McElhenny, Glenn Howerton and Charlie Day -- had cooking. Hence, while appearing at the 2008 San Diego Comic Con (via IGN), the trio announced they were working on a science fiction comedy series called "Boldly Going Nowhere,...

Fun Full Trailer for 'Sketch' Adventure with Tony Hale & D'Arcy Carden
Image
"Amber was the only one doing what we're supposed to be doing - not running from the pain, but feeling it." Angel Studios has debuted the main official trailer for Sketch, hitting theaters in August this summer. It's a magical adventure comedy from filmmaker Seth Worley making his feature directorial debut. A young girl's monster drawings begin to come alive, unleashing chaos upon her small town. This premiered at the 2024 Toronto Film Festival last year and tons of earned fantastic reviews. A single dad is swept up in an insane adventure when his daughter’s comically dark drawings in her sketchbook come to life and terrorize their small town. The indie film stars Tony Hale, D'Arcy Carden, Kue Lawrence, Kalon Cox, Jaxen Kenner, Genesis Rose Brown, and introducing Bianca Belle as Amber. Even though it's another movie about grief, this looks totally wonderful & magical & whimsical. I'm quite excited to see all of her creations.

What Is The Cast Of Malcolm In The Middle Up To Now?
Image
We're not the boss of you now, but we still strongly recommend revisiting the classic sitcom "Malcolm in the Middle." Created in 2000 by "Little House on the Prairie" alum Linwood Boomer, the series ran for seven seasons and over 150 episodes before it ended in 2006. Though it may seem somewhat predictable now, it was a fairly subversive program at the time with regard to how chaotic and internally hostile the central Wilkerson family could be.

The actors who portrayed the Wilkersons -- and the neighbors, classmates, relatives, and co-workers they terrorize -- were an amusing mix of established sitcom stalwarts and up-and-coming child actors, a dynamic encapsulated by Malcolm actor Frankie Muniz and his on-screen father Bryan Cranston. With nearly a decade of television between us and the series finale and a reunion miniseries reportedly on the way, we're more curious than ever what the cast of "Malcolm in the Middle" is up to now,...
