GÖTEBORG, Sweden — Scandi sales shingle The Yellow Affair has added to its Göteborg lineup the Swedish series “The Chosen Ones” (“Det Utvalda”), currently playing on Swedish pubcaster Svt’s streaming service Svt Play.

The short form sci-fi thriller stars a strong Swedish female cast of model-turned actress Frida Gustavsson (“Swoon”), singer/actress Amy Deasismont, Felice Jankell (“Young Sophie Bell”), Tind Soneby (“Modus”), Segal Mohamed, Isabella Touma Pettersson and Astrid Morberg.

Christian Hallman's psychological thriller Sensoria was released on Friday on VOD and multiple digital platforms. We have the full list below so you may pick your poison and take in this Swedish delight. And now a few thoughts about the film itself. Hallman's approach in Sensoria is subtlety. You see it in his direction with minimal camera movement, you hear it in the musical score and how the soundscape of the building's hallways, stairwells and thin walls control sound. This last part is brilliant because it allows the apartment building to be as much a character in the film as anyone else is. And despite the small cast Sensoria is ripe with memorable characters who also live in the building. The first wave of films for the 2015 Fantastic Fest have been announced
As genre cinema has found more fans around the world, their place in film festivals have also grown, with genre getting its dedicated sections in acclaimed festivals such as the Toronto International Film Festival’s Midnight Madness section. The demand, however, has grown now to allow for festivals dedicated to genre cinema, and one of the more notable stops in the latter group is Fantastic Fest. Running for a decade now, the 2015 incarnation of Fantastic Fest will be held once again in Austin, Texas, running from September 24th to October 1st. The first wave of films that will play at the festival have now been announced.

Cannes: 108 Media acquires Scandi thriller 'Sensoria'
Toronto-based 108 Media is in talks with international buyers in Cannes on Christian Hallman’s Swedish thriller Sensoria.

108 Media has acquired worldwide rights, excluding Scandinavia, to Christian Hallman’s psychological thriller, Sensoria.

108 Media will also distribute the film in North America later this year.

This Swedish shocker is directed and produced by Christian Hallman, and stars Scandinavian actress Lanna Olsson.

The deal was brokered by Albert Avramovic of Take One, Abhi Rastogi of 108 Media, and Christian Hallman of Grindhouse Pictures.

Sensoria centres on a a woman in her late thirties who is on the hunt for a new beginning after losing almost everything she cares for in the world. But soon after moving into an old apartment, she realizes that she is not alone.

108 Media is introducing the film to buyers at the Cannes Marche this week.

The long-running, genre-centric Lund International Fantastic Film Festival (the Fff for short), run by Twitch buddy Christian Hallman over in Sweden, has wrapped, but not before handing out a couple of awards.The caustic, and controversial Jack Ketchum/Lucky McKee team-up, The Woman, garnered the Siren Award, for best international release, and the Melies d'Argent award went to UK sci-fi actioner Attack The Block.
