Fans of "The Big Bang Theory" definitely know that, in the penultimate episode of "The Big Bang Theory," Mark Hamill cameos as himself in the episode "The Bow Tie Asymmetry" — where Sheldon Cooper (Jim Parsons) and Amy Farrah Fowler (Mayim Bialik) get married. What they probably don't know, though, is that Hamill — whose first scene in the episode is actually with Howard Wolowitz (Simon Helberg) — has known Helberg for many years.
Early in the episode, Hamill tracks down his dog, appropriately named Bark Hamill, whom Howard found, at which point the human Hamill offers Howard a favor, leading to Luke Skywalker himself officiating Sheldon and Amy's wedding. What's really wild here, though, is that Helberg's relationship with Hamill isn't really what got him onto the show in the first place.

Mark Hamill has only raised more questions about his rumored cameo in The Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special. Helmed by Guardians of the Galaxy franchise director James Gunn, the holiday special marked the Marvel Cinematic Universe's second Special Presentation. The seasonal romp, which brought back Guardians team members Peter Quill (Chris Pratt), Mantis (Pom Klementieff), Drax (Dave Bautista), Rocket (Bradley Cooper), Groot (Vin Diesel), and Nebula (Karen Gillan) along with a few other familiar faces, was released on Disney+ this week. Soon after the special's release, MCU and Star Wars fans began to wonder whether one particular scene included a cameo from Mark Hamill, who played the heroic Luke Skywalker in several Star Wars projects.
The Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special included many unexpected and delightful cameos that added to the franchise's frequent use of meta humor, including Kevin Bacon portraying himself in a reference to Peter's long-established appreciation for the actor.

The Marvel Cinematic Universe has earned a reputation for major cameos, so when "The Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special" dropped on Disney+ this week, it's no surprise that some eagle-eyed fans thought they spotted someone famous. The special, which follows Drax (Dave Bautista) and Mantis (Pom Klementieff) on their quest to find Star Lord (Chris Pratt) the perfect Christmas present, ended with a surprise musical performance from a special guest. But before the revelry gets started, a cheerfully decorated man who bears a striking resemblance to Mark Hamill can be seen taking a swig from the bottle.
But the actor's son has officially confirmed that Hamill did not make an appearance. Nathan Hamill has now tweeted a picture of the man in question, along with the caption, "That's not @MarkHamill #GuardiansoftheGalaxyHolidaySpecial." Further, a Twitter user named Cynn Smith -- who was himself a background performer in the holiday special...

When Ghostbusters 3 arrives in theaters next summer, Sigourney Weaver will be along for the ride.
The actress confirmed she’ll join co-stars Bill Murray and Dan Aykroyd in the sequel, as she reprises her role as cellist Dana Barrett.
“It’s going to be crazy working with the guys again!” Weaver told Parade magazine in a lengthy feature about her life and career.
Weaver introduced the role of Barrett, whose apartment was haunted by an evil spirit, in the original 1984 film. She had a feeling the movie would be a hit.
“I knew it would be big. The script was so funny and full of heart,” she said. “Ghostbusters changed my life.”
The Oscar-nominated actress wouldn’t give any secrets away about the new entry. But we do know it’s being helmed by Jason Reitman, son of original director Ivan Reitman.
The next installment — slated for a July 2020 release...

There are two sure signs a TV show is either doing something very right, or very wrong. First, with each passing week, it tops the trending hashtags on Twitter. And second, petitions are drafted demanding everyone be fired and the series remade. Game of Thrones, it seems, has all of those problems and then some this season.
The penultimate episode, “The Bells” aired this past Sunday and some viewers just couldn’t take it anymore. At the time of this writing, over 665,000 to be exact. Over on Change.org, a petition has been created with one sole purpose. I quote: “Remake Game of Thrones Season 8 with competent writers.” Now, restoring some of my hope in humanity, Twitterers have started throwing their two cents in on the controversy, and these fans aren’t having any of the petition.
I get it. Writers have rushed GoT‘s final season. Seven runs of brilliant character development squashed.
