Apple TV+ has released the official trailer for its highly anticipated documentary event “Messi's World Cup: The Rise of a Legend.” The four-part series will track the career of international superstar and eight-time Ballon d’Or winner Lionel Messi throughout his record-setting, multi-decade career with the Argentina national football team up through their FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 win.

“Schmigadoon” has run out of its signature “Corn Puddin’.” The Apple TV+ musical-comedy series has been canceled after two seasons on the streamer.

Series co-creator Cinco Paul announced the news on Instagram. In his post, Paul revealed that scripts for a third season have already been written, along with 25 new songs that would have been featured had it been renewed.

“I am sad to share that Apple will not be moving forward with Season 3 of Schmigadoon!” Paul wrote on January 18. “The season is written (including 25 new songs) but we unfortunately won’t be making it. Such is life. I want to thank everyone involved with the show, our incredible cast and crew and writers, our wonderful supporters at Broadway Video, Universal, and Apple, for everything they did to make it happen.”

Paul called it “a miracle” that “Schmigadoon!” got the two seasons that it did.

The streamer has canceled its musical comedy Schmigadoon after a two-season run, co-creator Cinco Paul shared on social media Thursday.

Original cast members of the Broadway and Off Broadway hit Avenue Q will reunite tonight for a Stars In The House sing-through of the musical to benefit victims, both human and non-human, of the devastating Maui wildfires.

The event, airing live on StarsInTheHouse.com at 8 p.m./Et and 5 p.m./Pt, will feature such Avenue Q alum as Jennifer Barnhart, Stephanie D’Abruzzo, Ben Durocher, Carmen Ruby Floyd, Jordan Gelber, Rick Lyon and Honolulu born-and-raised Ann Harada, who proposed the idea to Stars in the House co-creators and hosts Seth Rudetsky and James Wesley.

On Schmigadoon! Season 2 Episode 6, Josh and Melissa get their Finale Ultimo, which turns out to be a "Happy Beginning."

The singular sensation Ariana DeBose is back, opening up the episode with a fabulous tribute to 1981's R&b musical Dreamgirls.

DeBose hasn't been featured as prominently in Schmigadoon! Season 2 as she was in Schmigadoon! Season 1, likely due to her career taking off after her Oscar win -- but this is a beautiful way to showcase her doing what she does best.

DeBose delivers dramatic, dynamic vocals with elegance and glamor. The number sets the tone for the rest of the episode perfectly.

Once again, Cecily Strong proves what a marvelous actor she is. We know there will be a happy end, but her commitment to the proceedings is admirable. Patrick Page's Kratt somehow remains both dapper and dastardly. His evil knows no bounds!

Jaime Camil and Ann Harada are back for Schmigadoon! Season 2 in wildly different roles.

Instead of dreamy Doc Lopez, Camil plays cop Sgt. Rivera, lackey of Octavius Kratt. No longer the mayor's demure wife, Florence Menlove, Harada is the hard-bitten Madame Frau.

Camil and Harada have extensive careers on stage and screen, but they clearly had a blast returning to the fantasy musical Schmigaverse.

We caught up with Camil and Harada to discuss what Schmigadoon! means to them, how they approached their characters, and who among their castmates most impresses them.

The delightful pair play off each other well onscreen and off, with occasional teasing but a great sense of fun and mutual respect.

Snag is part romance, part action, and part comedy. The new film follows an assassin named Snag (Ben Milliken) who thinks that the love of his life, Valentina (Sofía Castro), is dead. When he discovers otherwise, he does whatever he can to get her back.

Jaime Camil plays Snag’s best friend, Marco, who is also a deadly assassin. He owes Snag his life and is willing to help him rescue Valentina from her captors. This has been a busy year for Jaime, who also stars in Schmigadoon season 2, which is currently airing on Apple TV+.

Nick Offerman plays a food-obsessed neo-Nazi in an upcoming episode of Starz’s “Party Down.” In a clip exclusive to Variety, Offerman’s alt-right character compliments the food cooked by Party Down’s head chef Lucy, played by Zoë Chao. As a flustered Chao picks up a knife for self-defense, Offerman praises her: “I just wanted to offer my sincere compliments. The food is sublime.”

Premiering on Feb. 24 with episodes releasing weekly, Season 3 of “Party Down” picks up a decade after the first two seasons, which aired in 2009 and 2010. Musical TV shows are a tricky thing, but Apple TV+ made magic happen with the first season of "Schmigadoon!," directed by Barry Sonnenfeld and starring Cecily Strong and Keegan-Michael Key as a couple who find themselves stuck in the world of a Golden Age-styled musical. Inspired by the 1954 MGM movie "Brigadoon," the duo are trapped in this mystical musical town that follows the rules of classic Hollywood musicals — think "Singin' in the Rain" and "Oklahoma!" — and it nearly destroys their relationship. They managed to work things out and escape after six episodes, but it looks like the real world just doesn't hold the same appeal as one where you can sing your daily gripes instead of just mutter them. Season 2 of “Schmigadoon!” lands Melissa (Cecily Strong) and Josh (Keegan-Michael Key) in an entirely new musical world, far from the sunny, upbeat climes of “Brigadoon.”

In the Season 2 trailer released on Tuesday by Apple TV+, Melissa tells a shocked Josh, “These musicals are darker with more sex and violence,” as they’re drawn into variations on sultry “Chicago,” flower-powered “Hair,” and the the bloody “Sweeney Todd.”
