General Hospital Spoilers January 23: Ric Shows He Has Ava’s Back…Again
Image
In addition to Ric coming through for Ava, General Hospital spoilers for Thursday, January 23, 2025, focus on Lucas and Josslyn comparing notes and Laura learning of a possible threat.

Next on General Hospital

We’ve been hearing about the custody battle between Sonny (Maurice Benard) and Ava (Maura West) for months. It’s apparent the two parties won’t easily reach an agreement. Sonny’s not budging even though his penthouse just went boom, and, in the process, Michael (ex-Chad Duell) was hurt badly.

It’s natural for Ava to want Avery (Ava and Grace Scarola) to live with her, knowing how dangerous Sonny’s life is. He has no idea who targeted him. It could be a number of enemies. When Ric (Rick Hearst) comes through for Ava, will the attorney be able to work the legal system for his client? Is today the day Ava gets Avery back?...

10 More Classic Children’s Anthology Books Worth Revisiting for Halloween
Image
There’s no denying the power a fun and scary short story has over a young mind. At such an unsuspecting age, these horror tales can leave much more of a lasting impression. And just like last Halloween, ten classic children’s anthology books are brought to light after they faded into the darkness over the years. They may be hard to come by, but these vintage collections offer youthful frights just as much as adult nostalgia.

And to help demonstrate why they were — and still are — so appealing, a creepy story from each book is highlighted.

The Hardy Boys: Ghost Stories (1984)

The Hardy Boys: Ghost Stories.

Joe and Frank Hardy weren’t known for their supernatural adventures. Most of the time, those kinds of mysteries were debunked and grounded. However, that’s not quite what happened here in The Hardy Boys: Ghost Stories, a six-part collection perfect for Halloween.

Rohan Campbell
Full trailer drops for season 2 of ‘The Hardy Boys’
Rohan Campbell
Hulu has debuted the full trailer for season 2 of ‘The Hardy Boys.’

The second season picks up six months after the events of Season 1, building on the mystery and drama of the inaugural season and welcoming new friends and suspects. In Season 2, when a Bridgeport classmate mysteriously disappears, Frank (Rohan Campbell) and Joe Hardy (Alexander Elliot) drop their new normal routine to get back to detective work. But when they discover the mystical relic they destroyed last year is still in play, it becomes clear their simple missing person case is actually part of something far more sinister. The Hardy boys and their friends must quickly learn who they can and can’t trust as they race against time to unravel the truth, and ultimately realize that no one is safe from their past.

The returning cast includes Rohan Campbell as ‘Frank Hardy,’ Alexander Elliot as ‘Joe Hardy’, Keana Lyn...

“My friend of many decades, Tommy Kirk, was found dead last night,” wrote Petersen, who has long been an advocate for child actors through his organization A Minor Consideration. “Tommy was intensely private. He lived alone in Las Vegas, close to his friend … and Ol Yeller co-star, Bev Washburn … and it was she who called me this morning. Tommy was gay and estranged from what remains of his blood-family. We in A Minor Consideration are Tommy’s family. Without apology. We will take care of this.

Interviews: 1970s TV Stars Parker Stevenson & Ernest Thomas Reveal a Different Era of Entertainment
Chicago – Television has changed so much in the last generation that it’s hard to imagine a time of only three networks and a limited number of shows premiering every fall. But in the 1970s there were two such TV series, “The Hardy Boys/Nancy Drew Mysteries,” starring Parker Stevenson, and “What’s Happening!!,” starring Ernest Thomas. They both made appearances at the “Hollywood Show” in Chicagoland.

The “Hollywood Show” is an event in which fans can mingle, take photographs and get autographs from the celebrities who appear there, and takes place in Chicago, Los Angeles and Las Vegas. The next session will take place in Los Angeles on January 8th-10th, 2016. For complete details and ticket purchase information, click here.
