Jake Gyllenhaal's The Guilty Is A Remake Of A Much Better Movie Streaming For Free
Image

If a movie is going to be mostly close-up reactions of its lead actor, then the actor needs to have an expressive face. Jake Gyllenhaal, who more than fits the bill, faced this challenge in the 2021 thriller "The Guilty," directed by Antoine Fuqua (who used unorthodox filming methods to shoot the movie during the pandemic) and scripted by "True Detective" creator Nic Pizzolatto.

In "The Guilty," Gyllenhaal plays Joe Baylor, a 911 dispatcher in Los Angeles. The film takes place almost entirely during one of his shifts. Joe (who has a haunted past) is pretty dispassionate about his job... at first. Then a woman named Emily (Riley Keough) calls him, claiming that she's being kidnapped. Trying to help her from a distance, Joe discovers the culprit is likely her abusive ex-husband Henry (Peter Sarsgaard), but gradually realizes his assumptions about the...

Pierce Brosnan and Helen Mirren Reveal the Hidden Connection Between Tom Hardy and The Thursday Murder Club
Image
Hollywood stars Pierce Brosnan and Helen Mirren have revealed an interesting connection between Tom Hardy and their new movie, The Thursday Murder Club. In a recent appearance on The Today Show, Brosnan and Mirren revealed that they received the offer for the British crime drama, MobLand, while working on the Netflix movie.

Mirren explained that though the script wasn’t complete at that point, she was eager to join, especially knowing Tom Hardy was involved. “We obviously knew that Tom Hardy was involved, and I think both of us should have known that was gonna be a great thing,” the actress said.

The former James Bond star also recalled receiving the offer through their agent. “We had the same agent… and he sent to me, Guy Ritchie, five episodes. I said ‘I’m doing it, I wanna go back to London,'” Brosnan shared. And soon, they were playing a married couple in MobLand.

4 TV Shows From The Creator Of Peaky Blinders You Need To Watch Next
Image
It's been over a year since Netflix finally announced what all "Peaky Blinders" fans were waiting for: a feature-length film following the critically acclaimed six-season run of the beloved show. Over time, both old and new characters have been added to the roster of "The Immortal Man," which will reunite us with Thomas Shelby (Cillian Murphy) after yet another near-death experience and being fooled into thinking he wasn't destined to survive. But what's next? With a release touted for some time in late 2025, neither the streaming platform nor the creators has provided an exact date. Will we get an update soon, or do we still have yet to wait on a gathering storm where comes a tall, handsome man in a dusty black coat with a red right hand?

It's certainly been a frustrating waiting game to get answers about the future of the "Peaky Blinders." In the meantime, though,...

“He absolutely tickles me to death”: Sylvester Stallone Surprised Dolly Parton in Their Only Movie Together
Image
Sylvester Stallone has always been Hollywood’s tough guy, the man who redefined the action genre. However, in 1984, the world saw a different side of him thanks to the musical comedy, ‘Rhinestone.’ Given his reputation, his co-star Dolly Parton had doubts whether he would even be able to pull off the comedy genre. As it turns out, he proved her wrong almost immediately.

Parton and Stallone starred in Bob Clark’s ‘Rhinestone’, a film based on Larry Weiss’ hit song, ‘Rhinestone Cowboy.’ While the two got along quite well on set, there was a time when Parton wondered if comedy was really his cup of tea.

In an interview with Smooth Radio, Parton admitted that she stood corrected as Stallone made her laugh so hard that she couldn’t even get through her scenes without doubling over with laughter.

In her words,

I was really impressed with him, because I wondered myself,...

10 Characters Who Beat Batman In A Fight
Image
We may receive a commission on purchases made from links.

Few superheroes endure quite like Batman. After decades of big-screen success, countless TV and video game appearances, and an iconic comic book legacy stretching back to the 1940s, the Dark Knight remains one of the most compelling figures in pop culture. We've already ranked Batman's best live-action villains -- because, let's be honest, his rogues' gallery is unmatched -- but now it's time to tackle a touchier subject.

As skilled and resourceful as Batman is, at the end of the day ... he's just a guy in a cape. When Superman sheds his Clark Kent disguise, he's still a near-invincible alien with godlike abilities. Bruce Wayne, on the other hand, can break, bleed, and feel pain like any other human. Sure, his enemies rarely gain the upper hand due to his tactical expertise -- he's a master strategist who never enters a battle without a plan.

Next Yellowstone Spinoff Casts Logan Marshall-Green in Key Role
Image
Luke Grimes finally has a co-star in Y: Marshals. The upcoming CBS drama series serves as a sequel spinoff to Taylor Sheridan's Yellowstone.

Per Deadline, Logan Marshall-Green has been cast to co-lead Y: Marshals as Pete Calvin, a friend from Kayce's time in the military. The actor is best known for his work in the horror movies Devil (2010) and The Invitation (2015) as well as Leigh Whannell's Upgrade (2018) and Ridley Scott’s Prometheus (2012). He also played the first Shocker in Spider-Man: Homecoming (2017) and will next appear in Christopher Nolan’s highly anticipated The Odyssey, which is scheduled to hit theaters in July 2026. Marshall-Green also shares a striking resemblance to fellow Spider-Man actor Tom Hardy, with the two often being mistaken for one another by fans.

Ordered to series in May 2025 by CBS, Y: Marshals will see Grimes reprise his Yellowstone role as Kayce Dutton, as he joins an "elite unit of U.

What Happened To The Cast Of Star Trek: Nemesis?
Image
"Star Trek: Nemesis" came at an interesting time for "Star Trek" fans. The franchise continued on television after the end of "Star Trek: The Next Generation," which had led into "Star Trek: Deep Space Nine" and "Star Trek: Voyager." On the big screen, however, the cast of "The Next Generation" continued to lead the franchise as the main characters of its movies, which included "Star Trek Generations," "Star Trek: First Contact," and "Star Trek: Insurrection." Not all of those movies were great, to say the least, and by the time "Star Trek: Nemesis" hit theaters in 2002, it was unclear what future this cast had, if any.

"Nemesis" is about Captain Picard (Patrick Stewart) and his crew being sent on a mission to the Romulan Empire, where an evil Picard clone named Shinzon (Tom Hardy) has taken over. This one wasn't well-received either. Roger Ebert disliked the movie, writing that it...

Rumor: Here's Why Sony Scrapped Plans To Pit Spider-man Against Venom And Knull In Brand New Day
Image
Shortly after Venom: The Last Dance's release last year, it was reported that Sony Pictures was planning to pit Spider-Man and Venom against Knull in Spider-Man 4.

The Venom threequel may have ended Eddie Brock's symbiosis with Venom, but it established Knull as a Multiversal threat. Of course, with a piece of the Venom Symbiote left on Earth 616, it was easy enough to imagine how Eddie might be reunited with his alien costume (and how it could lead to Peter Parker finally getting his black suit).

Venom: The Last Dance did so-so numbers at the box office, and while a Spider-Man crossover never happened, most fans weren't too upset about Tom Holland and Tom Hardy never sharing the screen.

Had Spider-Man: Brand New Day been released between Avengers: Doomsday and Avengers: Secret Wars, the odds of Spidey meeting Venom would have likely been higher. Instead of more Multiversal madness,...

Taylor Sheridan’s Must-Watch 100% Rotten Tomatoes Series Circles Tom Hardy on Streaming Charts
Image
Taylor Sheridan has a trio of hit shows that are set to return to Paramount+ later this year, but one series that won’t be back with another season is still finding streaming success. Sheridan is the creator of 1923, the Yellowstone prequel show starring Harrison Ford and Helen Mirren as Jacob and Cara Dutton. 1923 Season 2 earned a perfect 100% rating from critics on Rotten Tomatoes, and although it aired its final episode earlier this year in April, the show has still been a consistent force on streaming charts. It’s even closing in on MobLand, the Guy Ritchie-directed series starring Tom Hardy and Pierce Brosnan. MobLand earned a much lower but still respectable 75% from critics on Rotten Tomatoes, and the show has already been renewed for a second season, unlike 1923.

Taylor Sheridan is currently hard at work filming the second season of Landman, which is due to premiere this December.

Why 'Landman' should be your first binge on Paramount+
Image
Billy Bob Thornton leads a high-stakes drama set in the ruthless world of Texas oil.

When I think Paramount+, my brain usually goes straight to the “Yellowstone” universe that includes “1883” and “1923” — or maybe those big franchise shows like “Star Trek” and “NCIS.” But if you just signed up for the platform, there’s one drama I think you should hit play on first. I’m talking about “Landman.” It’s gritty, smart, and totally gripping, with Billy Bob Thornton delivering one of those performances that just locks you in. Here’s why “Landman” is the must-watch drama on Paramount+ if you’re a brand new subscriber.

10 Years Later, Tom Hardy’s $532 Million Western Epic Is an American Streaming Hit
Image
Tom Hardylit the world on fire earlier this year with his performance in MobLand, the crime thriller series from Guy Ritchie, but one movie from the star has returned to streaming charts 10 years later. Hardy stars alongside Leonardo DiCaprio and Will Poulter in The Revenant, the 2015 gritty Western epic following a frontiersman on a fur trading expedition in the 1820s who fights for survival after a bear nearly kills him. The Revenant is streaming on Starz globally, where it’s become one of the most popular movies for the streamer in countries such as Morocco and others. The Revenant grossed over $530 million at the box office against a $135 million budget, which came following a strong reception of 78% from critics on Rotten Tomatoes and even an 84% on the audience-driven Popcornmeter.

The Revenant is, unfortunately, not streaming anywhere in the United States, but the film is available for rent or purchase on...

The Director Behind Ice Cube's War Of The Worlds Made A Cringe-Worthy Marvel Music Video
Image
2025's "War of the Worlds" has become a hit on Prime Video after debuting on July 30 and shooting straight to the top of the streamer's charts. Why? I don't know. But that's what happened and now we're in the position of having to parse this critically-panned sci-fi rehash to figure out what in the heck is going on.

You might think I'm being a tad harsh. After all, this movie did dominate the Prime Video charts. But wait until you hear about the actual content of this film, which takes place entirely on Ice Cube's desktop. That is, much like 2018's "Searching," which also unfolded entirely on computer screens, "War of the Worlds" is confined to the laptop of Mr. Cube's Homeland Security analyst Will Radford, who witnesses the invasion of Earth by alien creatures entirely via low-res videos and a network of surveillance cameras. This might sound like an interesting approach,...

South Park Tops Global Charts After Losing Streaming Home in America Following Donald Trump Episode
Image
Viewers all over the world are catching up on the long-running adult animated series South Parkfollowing its Season 27 premiere in July. Globally, the Comedy Central series from creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone is dominating the streaming charts.

According to FlixPatrol, South Park is the No. 1 TV show on Paramount+ worldwide as of Aug. 3. The series is ahead of Tom Hardy’s MobLand and Kevin Costner’s Yellowstone, which sit in the No. 2 and No. 3 spots, respectively.

South Park’s streaming success comes after it was announced that the series, which has been on the air since 1997, will be losing one of its streaming homes this month. The raunchy comedy will be pulled from HBO Max on Aug. 5following an exclusive deal that the South Park creators recently inked with Paramount.

Mel Gibson's 81% Rotten Tomatoes Dystopian Thriller Lands a Free Streaming Home
Image
Mel Gibson’s return as Max Rockatansky in Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome is now just a click away. The 1985 post-apocalyptic thriller, often considered the most ambitious and theatrical entry in the original trilogy, is now streaming free on Tubi starting August 1. Max Max Beyond Thuderdome holds a Certified Fresh 81% critic score on Rotten Tomatoes, solidifying its legacy nearly four decades later. The film, however, has a 49% audience score, which is in major contrast with what the critics have to say about the film. While it’s stylistically different from the lean brutality of The Road Warrior, Thunderdomecemented Mel Gibson’s status as a global action star and expanded the franchise's cultural footprint well beyond Australia.

Those familiar with the franchise from its 21st-century reboot can now enjoy how the same dystopia was brought to screens back then, and at no cost, because of Tubi’s ad-focused, subscription-free model. Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome...

Pierce Brosnan’s 18% Rotten Tomatoes Post-Bond Nightmare Returns to Streaming
Image
Pierce Brosnan will always be known for his work as James Bond, but just a few years after he suited up as 007 for the final time, he led a star-studded thriller that’s finally coming back to streaming. Brosnan stars alongside Woody Harrelson (True Detective), Salma Hayek (Grown Ups), and Don Cheadle (Iron Man 2) in After the Sunset, a 2004 heist film following a master thief who pulls off his last big score, and an FBI agent who promised he’d capture him. After previously not streaming anywhere, Netflix has swooped in and made the film available to watch for all subscribers starting at the beginning of this month on August 1. After the Sunset earned abysmal scores of 18% from critics and 52% from audiences on Rotten Tomatoes, and the film grossed only $62 million at the box office against a $60 million budget.

Tom Holland Weighs in on James Bond Speculation: “It’s the Pinnacle of Working in Our Industry”
Image
Tom Holland is weighing in on the speculation that he could potentially nab the next 007 role.

While it’s not yet been announced who the new James Bond will be in Amazon MGM Studios’ future film, which will be directed by Denis Villeneuve (the Dune films) and written by Steven Knight (Peaky Blinders), there are several actors who’ve been rumored as possibilities to play the secret agent — one of which is Holland.

When speaking recently with Gordon Ramsay, the Spider-Man star was asked about the Bond rumors. “Listen, there’s speculation at the moment. We’ll keep it to a minimum for now. We’ll get there one day,” he responded with a smile.

The chef then took a moment to seriously ask Holland, “Can you imagine what’s going to happen to your life if you do? First of all, you’d love that opportunity, right?”

And The...

This Sleeper Spy Film Was the End of an Era for Jason Statham & Guy Ritchie (& It's Exploding on Streaming)
Image
Per FlixPatrol, Operation Fortune: Ruse de Guerre, which was released in 2023, is, as of Aug. 1, the No. 3 most-streamed movie on Hulu in the U.S. Only The Amateur and Locked, which hold the No. 2 and No. 3 spots, respectively, are ahead of Operation Fortune: Ruse de Guerre.

Operation Fortune: Ruse de Guerre was directed by Ritchie, who co-wrote the script for the film with Ivan Atkinson and Marn Davies. The film follows Statham’s character, a special agent/spy named Orson Fortune, as he works to obtain a stolen high-tech item known as “the Handle” before Greg Simmonds (Hugh Grant) can take it to auction.

Both Jason Statham and Guy Ritchie made their feature film debuts with 1998’s Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels. The movie marked the first theatrical release for both writer-director Ritchie and star Statham, who would later rise to massive success as an action star.

Young Action Stars: Hollywood needs to develop young talent to take up the mantle
Image
Who would you say are the best current action stars? Tom Cruise? Jason Statham? Keanu Reeves? Donnie Yen? Dwayne Johnson? Well, guess what—all of those actors are over fifty. In fact, Cruise, Reeves, and Yen are all over sixty. A few of the most legendary action stars, all of whom are still cranking out movies—like Sylvester Stallone, Jackie Chan, Arnold Schwarzenegger, and Liam Neeson—are well over seventy. And Harrison Ford, Indiana Jones himself, is in his eighties.

So what, you might say—people get old. Deal with it. And that’s absolutely true. But there’s a huge vacuum in Hollywood that no one really addresses: where are the younger action heroes? Who is going to pick up the mantle once the legends are gone?

Of the names listed above, I’d expect Statham, Reeves, and Cruise to keep making action movies well into their seventies and beyond.

An Acclaimed Action Director's Ultraviolent British Crime Series Is Leaving Netflix Soon
Image
An acclaimed action movie director's ultraviolent British crime TV series is going to be leaving Netflix soon, and it's perfect for action fans. Some of the best action thriller TV shows don't shy away from violence, such as Sons of Anarchy or Money Heist. However, the violence is usually realistic or not as brutal as something seen on big screens.

However, this isn't the case for a TV series co-created by Gareth Evans. The director is best known for his highly violent action films, with his memorable The Raid duology considered Evans' best movies. More recently, he directed Havoc on Netflix, a high-octane film starring Tom Hardy as a homicide detective, his first action movie in over a decade.

In the meantime, he's been working on an ultraviolent British crime show, Gangs of London, which is set to leave Netflix in the US on Monday, August 18. The show began in...

James Bond Franchise Taps Top Talent For Next 007 Film(Photo Credit –Facebook)

It looks like the next installment in the highly anticipated James Bond franchise is heading in an exciting new direction. Previously, it was reported that Dune helmer Denis Villeneuve had been enlisted to direct the upcoming 007 venture. And now, another creative powerhouse has joined the high-profile project.

James Bond New Movie By Amazon MGM Studios: Full Details Revealed

Amazon MGM Studios has officially taken the baton from the former MGM Studios, greenlighting the next chapter in the James Bond franchise. With Steven Knight tapped as screenwriter, the next film will be directed by Denis Villeneuve, as Deadline reports.

With Amy Pascal and David Heyman as producers and Tanya Lapointe serving as executive producer, the announcement comes after Amazon acquired full creative control of the franchise back in February, in a deal with Bond fame producers Barbara Broccoli and Michael G. Denis Villeneuve’s New James Bond Movie Taps Writer From Beloved British Crime Drama Series
Image
As part of their bold new direction for the James Bond franchise, Amazon MGM Studios has officially setPeaky Blinderscreator Steven Knight to write the next 007 movie, according to a report today by Deadline. The announcement follows the studio’s high-profile hiring of Denis Villeneuve to direct the reboot, signaling a prestige-heavy reinvention of the iconic spy series. Producers Amy Pascal (Spider-Man: No Way Home) and David Heyman are spearheading the project under their Pascal Pictures and Heyday Films banners, respectively. Tanya Lapointe, Villeneuve’s longtime producing partner, will executive produce.

The script marks the first major creative step for Bond’s next chapter since Amazon gained full creative control of the franchise in a landmark deal earlier this year. The studio spent months meeting with prospective screenwriters, but insiders are reported to have said that Knight had always been a front-runner — particularly after his name came up in connection...

Next James Bond Movie Taps Steven Knight to Write
Image
Steven Knight is the latest bold faced name to join the James Bond creative team.

Knight will write the script for filmmaker Denis Villeneuve, who is directing the next 007 film for Amazon MGM Studios and producers Amy Pascal and David Heyman.

Knight’s hiring marks an end of an era for the Bond franchise, at least in terms of its writers. Actor Daniel Craig said goodbye to the character with 2021’s No Time To Die, which also was the last Bond movie to be shaped by longtime scribes Neal Purvis and Robert Wade, who worked on the franchise beginning with 1999’s The World Is Not Enough.

Knight is a respected scribe, who is working on a Peaky Blinders film and whose past work includes the 2002, feature Dirty Pretty Things, for which he earned an original screenplay Oscar nomination, Eastern Promises and Spencer, as well as creating the Jason Momoa Apple series See.

Tom Hardy’s 75% Rotten Tomatoes Crime Series With a Former James Bond Earns Praise From Beloved Fantasy Star

At the Outlander: Blood of My Blood premiere, Graham McTavish made headlines — not just for promoting Starz’s new prequel series, but for using the red carpet spotlight to throw some love toward Landman and MobLand, two of Paramount+’s most buzzed-about dramas. McTavish, known for playing Dougal MacKenzie in the Outlander universe, and more famously, playing the role of Dwalin for The Hobbit trilogy), didn’t hesitate when asked which shows he thought deserved Emmy attention this year. “Landman and MobLand,” he said firmly, praising Taylor Sheridan’s oil-field epic and Guy Ritchie’s stylish gangster saga as two of the series he couldn't stop watching this year. And he’s not alone in thinking that.

While the Emmys may have completely shut out Sheridan’s Landman — despite a Golden Globe nomination for Billy Bob Thornton — fans have flocked to the series. It became the highest-rated freshman drama...

Stars: James Nelson Joyce, Kyle Rowe, Olivia Frances Brown, Robyn Sass, Kru Lundy, Andrew Purcell | Written by Martin Law, Dean Gregson, Jordan Derbyshire | Directed by Martin Law

Reputation is the kind of movie that reminds audiences that we Brits know better than anyone how to craft and tell a story that’s honest, raw, real and above all else relatable. More often than not we look to the Ken Loachs and Shane Meadows of the world for that slice of grim reality, and for me, those guys were at their best when starting out, which has always prompted me to keep an eye on emerging directors from my homeland and keep an open mind when going in.

Now, in Martin Law, I have a new name to add to my list of: “I’m keeping an eye on this guy”. After having the chance to check out his debut feature Reputation.

August 1 Will Be a Tough Day for Christopher Nolan Fans
Image
One of Oscar-winning filmmaker Christopher Nolan's best projects is a World War II epic that's unfortunately leaving streaming very soon. Fans of the historical thriller Dunkirk only have a few days to check out the critically acclaimed movie via Netflix.

PerCollider, Dunkirk is one of several movies leaving Netflix on Aug. 1, having been added to the streamer in January. The 2017 blockbuster has been a streaming hit this summer, having climbed Osn's global top 10 chart earlier this month.

Chronicling the famous Dunkirk evacuation during World War II, Dunkirk isn't the first movie to examine the event, as Richard Attenborough starred in an acclaimed film of the same name in 1958. However, Nolan put a visual twist to his retelling of the evacuation, depicting it from various perspectives, including from land, sea and air. The film also limits dialogue to create greater suspense among audiences and plays up the music by longtime...

Tom Hardy’s 80% Rotten Tomatoes ‘Sons of Anarchy’ Replacement Is a Sleeper Hit After Box Office Bust
Image
It’s been a busy year for Tom Hardy thus far after starring in Gareth Evans' divisive Netflix action movie and Guy Ritchie’s new crime series, but now another recent project from the star has jumped back into the streaming spotlight. Hardy stars alongside Austin Butler and Jodie Comer in The Bikeriders, the gritty drama that's been likened to Sons of Anarchy following Kathy (Comer), a headstrong woman who finds herself in the middle of the violent storm between warring motorcycle clubs. The Bikeriders is currently streaming on Prime Video in America, but it’s one of the most popular streaming purchases on Google in countries such as Venezuela and Finland. The film earned a “Certified Fresh” 80% from critics on Rotten Tomatoes and a 73% on the audience-driven Popcornmeter, though it grossed only $36 million globally against a $40 million budget.

Tom Hardy's Wildest Role Came In This Crime Biography That Bent The Truth
Image
British actor Tom Hardy isn't afraid of tackling some seriously strange and challenging roles, and his breakout role in Nicolas Winding Refn's 2008 crime film "Bronson" is a perfect example. In it, Hardy portrays a fictionalized version of real-life career criminal Michael Peterson, who changed his name to Charles Bronson in 1987, and he goes fully wild. We see him dressed as half-man, half-woman (divided vertically) and also get to watch as he strips nude and slathers himself in butter before fighting a whole team of prison guards. Yet somehow, "Bronson" isn't Hardy's wildest role. That distinction goes to another semi-historical crime movie that's very loosely based on a true story: Josh Trank's 2020 thriller "Capone."

"Capone" didn't do particularly well with critics or audiences (despite /Film's Chris Evangelista rightly praising Hardy's performance and the film's absolutely gonzo gothic horror take on gangster history), but it's a truly unique project that...

Dragon Studios, Home To ‘Willow’ & ‘Havoc’ Shoots, Facing Closure Threat Over Unpaid Tax Bill
Image
Exclusive: Dragon Studios is facing the threat of closure as the UK tax authority chases the Welsh film and TV studio facility for an unpaid bill.

Dragon Studios, based in Bridgend, has provided a home to titles including Disney+ series Willow and Havoc, the Tom Hardy action movie for Netflix.

Hm Revenue & Customs (Hmrc) has issued the company with a “winding-up petition,” which in the UK is often the last resort taken by a creditor when attempting to recover debt.

Hmrc is essentially seeking a court order to put Dragon Studios into liquidation. The petition alone could trigger the freezing of Dragon’s bank accounts.

When contacted by Deadline on Tuesday, Dragon Studios said it had yet to receive the petition and business operations continue. The company has since contacted Hmrc.

UK studio facilities have suffered a difficult period following the Hollywood strikes, while the spectre of protectionism looms in America,...

Taylor Sheridan Is Crushing Streaming Charts, But It Can't Beat Tom Hardy's Crime Drama
Image
Taylor Sheridan continues to dominate Paramount+'s viewership charts, but it has done so without claiming the streamer's number one spot. That honor goes to Tom Hardy's celebrated crime drama show with a 75% Rotten Tomatoes score that premiered in late March 2025.

Taylor Sheridan has four shows trending globally on Paramount+ – Yellowstone, 1923, Lioness, and Tulsa King. Yellowstone, one of the most popular shows of the 21st century, still impressively holds the number 2 spot on Paramount+ as of July 22, 2025.

1923, a Yellowstone prequel series that released its second season in February, currently ranks at #3. Lioness and Tulsa King, which both released their second seasons in Fall 2025, rank in the seventh and eighth spots, respectively. While Sheridan is all over the Paramount+ streaming board, Tom Hardy's MobLand is still #1.

‘How to Train Your Dragon’ Overtakes Tom Hardy’s Critically-Panned Blockbuster at International Box Office
Image
Despite having been made available to watch at home, Universal’s How to Train Your Dragon remake continued pulling crowds to theaters even in its sixth weekend of release. The film is inching closer to the $600 million milestone, and will find itself in a tight race with How to Train Your Dragon 2 to become the franchise’s top-grossing installment. This weekend, it crossed the $250 million mark domestically, and approached the $350 million milestone at the international box office. And, in doing so, it overtook a handful of past blockbusters.

The film’s $338 million overseas haul puts it ahead of Christopher Nolan’s Dunkirk, Travis Knight’s Bumblebee, the original Men in Black film directed by Barry Sonnenfeld, and also last year’s Venom: The Last Dance. Starring Tom Hardy and directed by the debutante Kelly Marcel, The Last Dance served as the final film of the anti-hero trilogy, which began...
