Imagine the iconic diner sit-down scene between Al Pacino and Robert De Niro in Michael Mann’s Heat stretched out to feature length and you’ll get some idea of Den of Thieves 2: Pantera.

Admittedly, there’s a terrific action sequence in director-screenwriter Christian Gudegast’s follow-up to his overlong 2018 heist thriller. Unfortunately, the superbly orchestrated car chase/shootout, taking place both in a tunnel and on winding mountain roads, occurs nearly two hours into this equally bloated sequel’s 144-minute running time. Until then, you spend a lot of time watching the characters luxuriate in the European settings via consuming copious amounts of croissants, gelato and tiny cups of coffee.

Indeed, watching Gerard Butler, reprising his role of tough cop “Big Nick” O’Brien, struggle to learn the proper pronunciation of the word “croissant” is one of the more interesting elements of this formulaic if slickly filmed movie...

BBC chair Samir Shah has vowed to tackle “unacceptable behavior” at the broadcaster following the Huw Edwards scandal.

Edwards, who was until last year the BBC’s most high-profile and highly-paid news anchor, went on medical leave after being outed in a scandal involving allegedly paying a teenager for photographs. Rolf Harris, a once-beloved British kids’ TV personality who was later sentenced to five years in prison for a string of assaults on young girls, has died, the BBC reported Tuesday. He was 93.

The Australian entertainer was found guilty in 2014 of assaulting four girls between 1968 and 1986 and served three and a half years before being released in 2017. Before that, he was a widely beloved figure in the U.K. and Australia across five decades.

The trial judge admonished Harris for an apparent lack of remorse, and he never appeared on TV again.

Pa said his death, on May 10, had been confirmed by a registrar at Maidenhead Town Hall. The cause of death was listed as neck cancer and old age.

A Channel 4 show in which Jimmy Carr will be given the power to destroy a painting by Adolf Hitler has been criticised by the Holocaust Memorial Day Trust.

Airing later this month, Jimmy Carr Destroys Art (originally listed as Art Trouble) will see the controversial comedian look into the debate around “separating the art from the artist”.

Audiences will then vote whether or not he should destroy the artworks bought by Channel 4 and created by “problematic” artists, including Hitler, Pablo Picasso, Rolf Harris and Eric Gill.

Channel 4’s director of programming Ian Katz said that the show would see guests advocate for eeach piece of art.

“So you’ve got an advocate for Hitler,” he said. “There’ll be someone arguing not for Hitler, but for the fact that his moral character should not decide whether or not a piece of art exists or not.”

Channel 4 has purchased artworks by “problematic” figures including Adolf Hitler and Rolf Harris for use in its new debate programme Art Trouble.

The series will see audiences vote on whether or not to allow the host, comedian Jimmy Carr, to destroy the artworks with tools such as a flamethrower.

Other artworks acquired by Channel 4 for use in the show include pieces by Pablo Picasso and sexual abuser Eric Gill.

Per The Guardian, Channel 4 director of programming Ian Katz has confirmed that the Hitler painting would be “appropriately” disposed of, should the audience choose to save it from destruction.

Explaining the premise of the show, he said: “There are advocates for each piece of art. So you’ve got an advocate for Hitler.

“There’ll be someone arguing not for Hitler, but for the fact that his moral character should not decide whether or not a piece of art exists or not.

Rolf Harris: Hiding in Plain Sight (w/t) will speak to his victims, the police who investigated him and colleagues who worked alongside him to tell the story of the rise and fall of a TV star who came across as a non-threatening eccentric with a devoted wife.

Following the Jimmy Savile scandal, the former Animal Hospital presenter and multi-hyphenate was investigated for abusing his daughter’s friend when she was 13, and accusers then emerged stating that he molested them on the shows he worked on for years.

Harvey Weinstein has been stripped of his honorary Cbe following his conviction for rape and sexual assault.

An announcement in The London Gazette confirmed that British monarch Queen Elizabeth II has annulled the award, which was originally bestowed in 2004 for services to the film industry.

Disgraced mogul Weinstein was sentenced to 23 years in prison in March following multiple investigations into abuse and harassment.

Weinstein faces additional criminal charges in Los Angeles, though extradition proceedings have been delayed until December due to the pandemic.

The British Film Institute recently rescinded Weinstein’s Fellowship, which they had awarded him in 2002.

Lookalikes is not that show. But it's probably about as close as we're going to get.

Honestly, we don't really know what Lookalikes was, to be honest. The new Channel 4 show suggested that it was structured reality in the vein of Towie - real people, possibly artificial situations - but it was so bizarre that we couldn't really get our heads round it. What was real? What was fake? Normally, we can suspend our disbelief, but Lookalikes was actually a little distracting with it.

And not all of it worked. Really, the work of a lookalikes agency is probably enough for a standard reality series or documentary without the more ridiculous...

ITV has apologised for repeating an episode of Benidorm that referenced Rolf Harris.

The edition - originally broadcast in 2012 - was aired the day after Harris was convicted for indecent assault.

A repeat was pulled from ITV+1 which was set to air the show an hour later.

ITV released a statement saying: "This was a repeat episode of Benidorm and we wish to apologise for this oversight."

The show featured Tim Healy's character singing 'Two Little Boys' on karaoke, which was introduced as "a classic Rolf Harris number".

Another scene saw character Jacqueline talking about a rock star and asking: "Didn't his wife have an affair with Rolf Harris?"

Rolf Harris has been stripped of his BAFTA Fellowship after being found guilty of 12 counts of indecent assault.

BAFTA released a short statement earlier today (June 30) confirming that they have annulled the honour, which they bestowed on the 84-year-old back in 2012.

The statement reads: "The British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA) has made the decision to annul the BAFTA Fellowship bestowed upon Rolf Harris in 2012 following his conviction."

Harris was honoured for his "outstanding and exceptional contribution to television", which included his work on Rolf on Art, Citv's Rolf's Cartoon Club, Animal Hospital and The Queen by Rolf.

Harris will remain on bail until Friday (July 4),when he will be sentenced.

Following his conviction, the Crown Prosecution Service (Cps) said that Harris "used his status and position as a world famous children's entertainer to sexually assault young girls over a period spanning 18 years".

London, May 10: Rolf Harris has refused all alleged accusations against him regarding assaulting his daughter's friend and other three girls from 1968-86.

The prosecution showed evidence to the jury that the British-based entertainer had a tendency to touch up females as if he was entitled to it and his reputation made him untouchable, the BBC reported

The alleged victims were aged between seven or eight and 19 when the offences are said to have taken place.

Australia.s most watched film reviewers, Margaret Pomeranz and David Stratton, have refused to review Wolf Creek 2 despite the film nabbing the top spot in last weekend.s box office.

The co-hosts of the now ten-year-old program At the Movies have not offered an explanation as to why they snubbed the film, but it can be assumed it was due to its graphic content.

This comes in spite of the fact both Pomeranz and Stratton have reviewed the original Wolf Creek (giving it four stars each), and other violent flicks such as Snowtown and Saw in the past. The inconsistencies in their approach are yet to be explained, with an At the Movies representative declining to comment.

London, January 15: Rolf Harris has pleaded not guilty to the 12 counts of indecent assault against four girls aged between seven and 19, dating back to 1968.

The 83-year-old musician and TV presenter has also denied molesting a schoolgirl aged 14 three times in one day, Metro.co.uk reported.

The complete list of charges include 6 counts of indecent assault on girl aged 15, 1 on a woman aged 19, 3 on a 14-year-old girl, 1 on a girl of 7 or 8 and 1 on a girl aged 14.

The star also faces a further four charges of making indecent photos of a child.

The artist appeared in court with his wheelchair-bound wife.

Rolf Harris is facing three further indecent assault allegations. The programme promises to offer "a unique insight into the world of animal birth".

Dens, pens and keepers will be rigged with mini cameras so viewers can witness the raising of young animals from first steps to first feeds, from some of the biggest babies in the animal kingdom to the smallest.

The series will also cover high-drama animal births, including an urgent caesarean section, an antelope experiencing a traumatic birth and the live births of a wide range of creatures including a zebra, snow leopard, elephant and white rhino.
