A teenage boy's penchant for finding some form of trouble is worth studying.
In Lifetime's newest original film, Friday Night Sext Scandal, we have a storyline inspired by real events.
It intends to explore the dark underbelly of the high school experience regarding teenage boys who go on the hunt for sexually explicit photos from their female counterparts.
And in true Lifetime fashion, they explore the scandalous nature behind this from a different perspective.
The film focuses on one teen boy's experience of getting reeled into these deplorable actions.
The film stars Riverdale's Anthony Timpano as Shawn, a 16-year-old jock who is just starting to see advancement in his football career when he's upgraded to a starter on the team.
Of course, with advancement in the athletic realm comes increased popularity and the opportunity to hang out with upperclassmen, too.
And we all know very little good comes from associating with upper-class jocks.

Your prayers have been answered, “Virgin River” fans: The romance series has scored a two-season pickup, being renewed for both Seasons 4 and 5 at Netflix, the streaming service said Monday.
Starring Alexandra Breckenridge and Martin Henderson, “Virgin River” tells the love story of Mel Monroe (Breckenridge), who answers an ad to work as a midwife and nurse practitioner in the remote Northern California town of Virgin River, thinking it will be the perfect place to start fresh and leave her painful memories behind.
Per Netflix, the 10-episode third season of the romance series, which launched in July, “left fans with more questions about the residents of this small town after a funeral, a fire, a divorce, a hurricane and a new romance.”
Looks like with at least two more seasons to go, those fans will be getting answers — hopefully — and lots and lots more loving between Jack (Henderson) and Mel.

Netflix dropped the trailer for the third season of its romance series “Virgin River” on Friday, revealing Jack Sheridan’s (Martin Henderson) fate after the Season 2 finale ended with him bleeding out from a gunshot wound on the floor next to Melinda “Mel” Monroe (Alexandra Breckenridge).
Luckily, the video shows us almost immediately that Jack is Ok, but he is going to need some downtime to recover from the injury and Mel is the biggest supporter of him staying in bed — for medical reasons and romantic ones.
Yes, these two lovebirds are finally, officially in a real relationship, which means things are about to get complicated in a different way, as the topic of having a baby together comes up between them — and pretty much everyone else in town. Mel might want to, but she’s obviously still traumatized by the death of her family. Jack might not want to...

Drama, drama, drama: “Virgin River” has been renewed for a third season, Netflix said on Friday.
That news means we’ll get some payoff on those Season 2 cliffhangers, like Jack (Martin Henderson) being shot, the whole Paige/Michelle’s (Lexa Doig) dead-husband’s-twin-brother thing, a child-sized wrench being thrown in Preacher’s (Colin Lawrence) plans to move to San Francisco and become a fancy chef and Doc (Tim Matheson) getting some mysterious — and seemingly bad — health news from another doc in another town.
Yeah, it’s A Lot.
No premiere date has been set for the upcoming Season 3. The second season debuted on Netflix on Nov. 27.
“Virgin River” follows a recently widowed big-city nurse (Alexandra Breckenridge) who moves to the redwood forests of northern California, where she meets an intriguing man (Henderson).
The series also stars Lauren Hammersley and Annette O’Toole. Joining the cast for Season 3 will be Zibby Allen and Stacey Farber.

Lorena Bobbitt’s story is getting the biopic treatment.
Lifetime has greenlit “I Was Lorena Bobbitt,” a feature about the woman who became a household name and made tabloid headlines when she cut off her husband’s penis with a knife in 1993 after years of abuse.
Bobbitt was the subject of a Jordan Peele-produced Amazon docuseries which came out less than a year ago, and this new retelling has Bobbitt herself on board as an executive producer. Casting on the project is underway and production will begin later this month. The film, announced by A+E Networks president of programming Rob Sharenow at Lifetime’s Television Critics’ Association winter tour press day, will follow Bobbitt’s “journey from a wide-eyed, immigrant bride to a battered wife into an unlikely media sensation.”

The first step in preparing for Bo’s Dawning is to go through a magic threshold. Bo cannot make her mind and emotions one (or some hippy nonsense like that) but if she can’t she will never be able to continue her training and she will devolve. Trick brings in Stella, a fae who has helped hundreds of fae get through this ritual. She determines that Bo is filled with rage and regret, and this is what is preventing her from moving through the threshold. Stella insists that Bo go to her adoptive mother and make peace. At CinemaSpy we get screeners of early episodes of new television series to review. It's particularly satisfying when you get through a batch and want to see more of a show. So it was with The Line, a 15-episode Canadian-made cop drama that is currently airing on The Movie Network, Movie Central and HBO Canada.
The Line is essentially a soap opera that focuses on two dysfunctional detectives, Max (Ron White) and Donny (Daniel Kash), and the people whose lives they touch. Both men have messed-up love lives and their complicated personal relationships interweave with other elements of The Line's plot to produce a tangled, ongoing story that is atypical of conventional police procedural shows.
Max lives with his wife Karen (Yanna McIntosh) but their relationship is crumbling under the weight of their ethnic differences. Hence, he regularly has sex with burned-out legal aid lawyer Jayne Huxley (Sharon Lawrence...

What is it in life that lets us judge what is right and what is wrong, who is worthy of being alive and who’s just there, with no significant purpose in one’s world? Consider finding something so unique that it could change your entire life. You’ve always dreamed of better; getting out of that place; that hole you call an existence, but you can’t. These are the questions posed by this wonderful indie which, thankfully, has found our domain here at MovieJungle.com. The title throws one off a tad. For the most part, there are no lobsters in this film; it is more the career of one unsuccessful fisherman named Cody (Colm Meaney). Struggling to make his daily catch and support his family, the aged fisherman once again takes out his modest little boat and heads off into the blue. Despite warnings from a close friend,...
