Jodie Foster’s victory at the 2025 Golden Globes was slightly derailed by a cheeky moment as she accepted her fifth win for Best Actress in a Limited Series for True Detective: Night Country. While the 62-year-old icon was making her way to the stage, Sofía Vergara, her fellow nominee and rival for the award for portraying the infamous Cocaine Godmother Griselda Blanco in the series Griselda, couldn’t resist a playful heckle.

As the announcer announced that it was Foster’s 10th nomination and fifth win, Vergara jumped up, mockingly calling out, “Oh no, give me one!”

Jodie Foster is looking so chic on the red carpet!

The 61-year-old two-time Oscar winner had the support of wife Alexandra Hedison at the 2024 Emmy Awards on Sunday (September 15) at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles.

For the awards show, Jodie donned a navy dress while Alexandra wore a sparkling black and brown one shoulder dress.

Jodie is nominated tonight for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Limited or Anthology Series or Movie for her role in True Detective: Night Country while the series is nominated for Outstanding Limited or Anthology Series.

Actress Jodie Foster, renowned for her roles in ‘The Silence of the Lambs’ and ‘Taxi Driver’, celebrated her 10th anniversary with her wife, Alexandra Hedison, in the most special manner. The 61-year-old actress got her hands and feet imprinted into the ground outside the Tcl Chinese Theatre during the 15th annual TCM Classic Film Festival, reports ‘People’ magazine.

Foster, who most recently appeared in the sports documentary ‘Nyad’, received support from various friends, including Jamie Lee Curtis and Christopher Guest, and her wife, Alexandra Hedison, who sat in the front row.

During her heartfelt speech, Foster acknowledged that it was the couple’s 10-year anniversary and expressed gratitude to Hedison, 54, for being “so generous” and “giving up” their special day for the event.

Supporting Jodie at the ceremony was her wife Alexandra Hedison along with longtime friend Jamie Lee Curtis.

Friday also marks Jodie and Alexandra‘s 10th wedding anniversary! The couple married in 2014.

“Well it’s just amazing for me, you know,” Jodie shared, via Yahoo. “April 19th, big day. My 10 year wedding anniversary, but also this moment of the hand and feet in cement. My career.”

“Yeah milestones,” Jodie continued. “We have these big milestones in our lives and I like to celebrate milestones. That’s my thing.”

In an interview from earlier this year, Jodie shared some advice with younger people in the movie business.

The Motion Picture & Television Fund raised more than $4.3 million at its 22nd annual star-studded benefit on Saturday night.

The exclusive event was co-chaired by Sterling K. Brown and Ryan Michelle Bathé, America Ferrera and Ryan Piers-Williams, Jodie Foster and Paul Giamatti.

Funds raised from the event will be used to support industry members and their families who benefit from MPTF’s charitable programs and services, such as financial assistance, crisis counseling, caregiving support and residency on the Wasserman Campus in Woodland Hills, which now serves as “home” to many television and film veterans. During the recent work stoppages, MPTF received over 13,000 calls for aid and provided more than $8 million in charitable financial assistance.

“MPTF and I have such a rich, wonderful history together of taking care of our own,” said Foster. “I’m so proud to support this incredible organization and help raise crucial funds to support our industry family when they need it most.

Non-binary trans Indian-American performance artist, scholar, and writer Alok Vaid-Menon is speaking out on the violence against trans artists, especially filmmakers.

Vaid-Menon, who uses “we” as a pronoun and is the subject of short documentary film “Alok” that debuted at 2024 Sundance, said at IndieWire’s annual chili party that the new anti-trans Utah bill is yet another example of American politics trying to “punish trans people for having the audacity to be beautiful in a world that would rather us be banal.”

The House Bill 257 aims to prohibit people from using gender-designated facilities that differ from their sex assigned at birth in government buildings, correctional facilities, and domestic violence shelters unless they have undergone a transition-related surgery and legally amended the sex on their birth certificate, as reported by The Hill. To be clear, Gen Z refers to the generation after millennials, consisting of those born between 1996 and 2010. Acclaimed actress-filmmaker Jodie Foster said that Gen Z can be “really annoying” to work with. The 61-year-old actress is a vocal supporter of the younger generation and does a lot of mentoring, she said she still finds Gen Z, usually referred to as those born between 1997 and 2012, frustrating to work with.

Hedison’s death was confirmed by his daughter Alexandra Hedison. He’s survived by his two daughters Alexandra and Serena.

Finishing up her Thursday (April 24) with an errand-run, the “Silence of the Lambs” actress sported a wedding band and toted a few groceries down the street in Santa Monica, CA.

As previously reported by GossipCenter, Jodie tied the knot with her girlfriend Alexandra Hedison after a one-year courtship.

Before dating Foster, Hedison was linked to Ellen DeGeneres in the early 2000s.

The Oscar winner and her photographer girlfriend married last week after one year of being into relationship.

It was first reported by E!News last summer, "It's pretty serious," a source told us in September. "They're totally in love."

The two were then snapped at Fox Studios in Los Angeles and later on a dinner date with friends. The couple attended the opening of Alan Cumming's Macbeth in NYC back about a year ago.
