‘Wet Hot American Summer: 10 Years Later’ Review
I have never been the biggest fan of the original ‘Wet Hot American Summer‘. Although it has attained cult status over the years, I never found the film to be memorable as others do. In fact, when Netflix revived the franchise a little over two years ago with an eight episode prequel series titled “Wet Hot American Summer: First Day of Camp“, I pretty much had the same feeling. With the latest entry in the revival, “Wet Hot American Summer: 10 Years Later“, we finally get a true sequel to the original. And the premise is simple: the campers and counsels of camp firewood reunite a decade later to fulfill their promise made in the first film. Hilarity ensues. But the question still remains; does it follow the aforementioned trend of it’s predecessors? Well, the simple answer is no–but the more complicated answer, is inevitably yes.

For me,...

Wet Hot American Summer: Ten Years Later Trailer Is Wacky And Hilarious
Wet Hot American Summer was a 2001 comedy from David Wain (Role Models, The State, Stella) set in 1981 and starring Janeane Garofalo, David Hyde Pierce, Michael Showalter, Marguerite Moreau, Paul Rudd, Zack Orth, Christoper Meloni, A.D. Miles, Molly Shannon, Ken Marino, Michael Ian Black, Bradley Cooper, Elizabeth Banks, Jon H. Benjamin and Amy Poehler. If that sounds like an A-List cast, that's because many of the current stars in the group were not so famous or in demand at the time. The film focused on these counselors on the last day of camp at Camp Firewood, one of the jokes being that all the actors were playing well under their age range.

Then, fourteen years later in 2015, Netflix released a prequel in the form of a TV series, making the ages of the cast even more ridiculous, in typical Wain fashion. Joining the original, now star-studded cast in Wet Hot American Summer: First Day Of Camp...

Full Wet Hot American Summer: First Day Of Camp Trailer Is Amazing
After a brilliant VHS-tinged teaser, Netflix has released the first full trailer for the prequel series Wet Hot American Summer: First Day of Camp. This is the culmination of years of talk about a follow-up to the 2001 cult comedy film Wet Hot American Summer, as co-writer/director David Wain and his cast were keen on making a prequel in which the now fortysomething actors would be playing younger versions of their 2001 selves. They finally got to make it in the form of a Netflix miniseries, and result looks absolutely fantastic. As the title suggests, the eight half-hour episodes take place on the first day of camp back in 1981. Logistics be damned—Wain was able to wrangle nearly every single original cast member to reprise their roles, plus a slew of new faces like Jordan Peele, Kristen Wiig, and “introducing Jon Hamm.” This trailer highlights all of them, and it’s...

Are you ready to return to Camp Firewood? Are you? Are you really ready though? Because “the summer of your life is just around the corner,” according to a new trailer for Netflix’s Wet Hot American Summer: First Day of Camp. One, two, three, let’s go! Did you spot all of the cameos? Is that Christopher Meloni with a mop of hair?? All of the film’s original cast will be returning, including Elizabeth Banks, Michael Ian Black, Bradley Cooper, Judah Friedlander,Janeane Garofalo, Joe Lo Truglio, Ken Marino, Marguerite Moreau, Zak Orth, Amy Poehler,...

See First Photos of Wet Hot American Summer: First Day Of Camp
Netflix has released the first images from its Wet Hot American Summer revival series, First Day at Camp, and they are everything fans could hope for. The prequel to the 2001 film again takes place in 1981, which of course only augments the hilarity that the cast (originally in their 30s playing teenagers) are 15 years older now, and playing even (ever so slightly) younger characters. All of the film's original cast will be returning, including Elizabeth Banks, Michael Ian Black, Bradley Cooper, Judah Friedlander,Janeane Garofalo, Joe Lo Truglio, Ken Marino, Christopher Meloni, Marguerite Moreau, Zak Orth, Amy Poehler, David Hyde Pierce, Paul Rudd, Molly Shannon and Michael Showalter. And, as previously reported, other returning actors are H. Jon Benjamin, Nina Hellman, A.D. Miles, Marisa Ryan, Kevin Sussman, and David Wain (who will again write and direct, with Showalter serving as showrunner). ‘Wet Hot American Summer’ Cast Reunites To Star In Netflix Series
Netflix made lots of Wet Hot American Summer fans very happy when it announced it would revive the camp counselor film by David Wain as a miniseries. Now, the streaming video-on-demand service has reportedly started production with most of the film’s original cast on board.

If a report from Deadline is to be believed, Wain and Wet Hot film co-writer Michael Showalter have managed to re-unite the ensemble cast to reprise their original roles. In an interview with Crave back in June 2014, Showalter said he and Wain “wouldn’t have wanted to [bring back Wet Hot American Summer] if we couldn’t get everybody.”

Apparently, Showalter and Wain “did their due diligence” and managed to align the schedules of most of the cast from the 2001 film. Netflix’s 8-episode limited series will see fan favorites grace the (albeit more digital) screen, such as Elizabeth Banks, Amy Poehler, Paul Rudd, Bradley Cooper, Michael Ian Black, Judah Friedlander,...
