As a farewell fling, The Doctor takes Clara on a trip aboard the Orient Express in space, exactingly copied from the original, except for the bit about being spaceworthy. It turns out this particular journey is a massive two-fold trap – the ship is filled with scientists versed in areas of research that pertain to the beast, and are pressed into service to capture it, by any means necessary.

Frank Skinner is to make a guest appearance on Doctor Who.
The comic will star in an episode from Being Human writer Jamie Mathieson, though details of his character are yet to be announced.
"I love this show," Skinner said. "I subscribe to Doctor Who Magazine, I've got a Tardis ringtone, a five-foot cardboard Dalek in my bedroom and when I got the call saying they wanted me to read for the part, I was in the back of my tour bus watching episode three of 'The Sensorites'. I am beyond excited."
Steven Moffat - Doctor Who's lead writer and executive producer - added that Skinner has been "pitching vigorously to get into" the series "for a while".
"He's been volunteering to be 'third monster on the left' as long as I've been in this job," Moffat revealed.
"But now, in Jamie Mathieson's sparkling script, we finally have...

The casting news for Doctor Who series 8 is getting a little more regular now, and here's the latest: Frank Skinner has a guest role in the new series.
He's going to appear in the episode that's been penned by Jamie Mathieson for the new run. Mathieson, on his blog, wrote that "I was a stand up for a living for quite a few years. When I was trying to figure out how to do it in 1996, his first two stand up videos were part of my boot camp, so there is a nice synchronicity for me to be writing lines for him to deliver nearly twenty years later".

Like birds scuttling around for a few scant crumbs, Gothic Horror fans were presumably wondering when the next thrilling 1980s Doctor Who adventure would see a return to the Hinchcliffe/Holmes style of storytelling. A good proportion of 1980s Doctor Who horror stories took their inspiration from trendy blockbuster epics and video nasties, but interestingly, Gothic Horror stories were few and far between in the decade. The only two notable examples were State Of Decay and The Curse Of Fenric, the penultimate adventure of the original run of the series.
The Curse Of Fenric doesn't disappoint though. Not only should it please the horror fans, it's a cracking adventure in its own right, which like all good Doctor Who stories, has several different themes and undercurrents lurking under the surface.
