The Nacelle Company will be unveiling the first-ever Stoker figure from their Biker Mice From Mars line at their booth on Preview Night, as part of an exclusive Wave Three preview. While Stoker served as the previous leader of the mice in the original animated series from the '90s, the 2006 continuation saw his role become more significant. He has also been featured prominently in the ongoing OniPress' ongoing comic series and will be a major part of Nacelle's Ryan Reynolds-produced reboot. DuckTales first burst onto screens in 1987, offering fans the chance to engage with Donald Duck's beloved family. The series centered around Scrooge McDuck, an affluent Scotsman, and his three nephews, Huey, Duey, and Louie. While Donald is away in the Navy, Scrooge and the boys embark on a wealth of fun adventures, exploring everything that the world has to offer. Plus, the audience also had the chance to meet some of Donald's more obscure relatives, helping to create a rich and engaging lore. While the show only lasted for four seasons, it managed to become one of the most popular cartoons in American history.

Not only did this series spawn a wealth of spin-off material, but it also collected an abundance of die-hard fans. Audiences...

The Real Ghostbusters: The Rise And Fall of The Coolest Cartoon Of the 1980s

This article appears in the new issue of Den Of Geek magazine. Get your copy here.

The 1980s was a golden era for TV animation. It was the decade of Thundercats, Inspector Gadget, Transformers, Ducktales, The Smurfs, He-Man and The Masters of the Universe, Care Bears, and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.

Yet arguably, the best of them all was The Real Ghostbusters.

The show arrived at a time when studios were eager to translate box office gold into something palatable for younger audiences. It didn’t always quite go to plan, of course, as short-lived and ill-advised animated incarnations of everything from Rambo to The Karate Kid can attest.

But The Real Ghostbusters was different, running for 140 episodes across seven seasons.

It was a little different from the film. For one thing, the title had to be tweaked due to a dispute with Filmation, who was making an animated version...

The Real Ghostbusters' 20 spookiest episodes
Stephen Harber Jul 14, 2016

Low on nightmare fuel? Fill up your tank by reliving your scariest memories from The Real Ghostbusters, a truly twisted 80s cartoon...

The Real Ghostbusters was a pretty messed-up cartoon sometimes. I think that’s one of life’s universal truths. I’m not quite sure why the world needed an unholy amalgam of anime, cheesy 80s synth music, and mind-bending eldritch horror with a chiselled version of Bill Murray on top. But it did, and it still feels so right to this day.

Video of The Real Ghostbusters: Intro and Closing (without credits) [HD]

Ah, Dic Enterprises. What would my childhood have been without you? Well, for starters, I suppose I wouldn't have been terrified of the cartoon demons you dreamt up in your Real Ghostbusters cartoon, you sadistic monsters!

Ahem. Sorry, I didn’t mean to snap. It’s just… Rgb (as the hardcore fans...
