- Marek Hlasko was born on January 14, 1934 in Warsaw, Mazowieckie, Poland. He was a writer, known for The Eighth Day of the Week (1958), The Noose (1958) and Skarb kapitana Martensa (1957). He was married to Sonja Ziemann. He died on June 14, 1969 in Wiesbaden, Hesse, Germany.
