We finally know where Monsters, Inc. Land is going at Hollywood Studios, and not everyone is happy
Image
Earlier this year, Disney announced plans to add a new land inspired by Pixar Animation Studios' Monsters, Inc. to Disney's Hollywood Studios at Walt Disney World Resort. While exciting, the announcement was met with a bit of hesitation as concept art for the new land seemed to indicate it would be replacing a beloved area of the park.

These fears were confirmed today when Disney announced that Monsters Inc. Land will indeed replace Muppets Courtyard. This also means that MuppetVision 3D's time is coming to an end.

Perhaps sensing that the announcement would result in blowback from Muppets fans, Disney announced that the Muppets would take over Rock 'n' Roller Coaster. But even the announcement of the first Disney ride ever to feature The Muppets did little to appease fans upset to see Muppets Courtyard and MuppetsVision 3D go.

Even the biggest Muppets fans know that MuppetsVision 3D isn't among...

Fans are abuzz, likening Zane’s potential resurgence to Brendan Fraser’s heartwarming comeback with The Whale, and we can’t help but agree. The hours of meticulous research, pouring over Brando’s classic performances and mannerisms, and silent anticipation have all led up to this moment.

#MakeSolo2Happen Trends Again After 3 Years as Fans Rally Behind the Star Wars Sequel
Image
Since #ReleaseTheSynderCut proved that if fans make a fuss long enough, they will eventually get what they want, Star Wars fans have rallied on social media to try and get Disney to commit to a sequel to the Han Solo spin off, Solo: A Star Wars Story with the hashtag #MakeSolo2Happen trending on Twitter.

While not the best reviewed entry in the Star Wars franchise, Solo gave fans a brand new adventure based in the universe that offered more of The Force and plenty of Wookie action, among other things. It also served as a potential launch pad to other sequels and even more spin-offs, which is always the case with any movie linked to one of the biggest franchises in the world. For that reason, many assumed that, by now, three years on from Solo's release, there would have been some word from Lucasfilm about a new adventure...

Fan Campaign For Solo: A Star Wars Story Sequel Kicking Up A Gear Due To Snyder Cut Announcement
The ever-growing influence of social media on society has given fans an increased sense of ownership and entitlement over properties that they hold dear, and if they don’t like something then you can be sure that they’ll let the internet know in huge numbers. Nine times out of ten, the studios pay very little attention to these sort of campaigns, but the recent announcement of the Justice League Snyder Cut has given many people a sense of renewed optimism that they can use their online platform to will something into existence if they try hard enough.

While Marvel Studios aren’t exactly going to recast Brie Larson as Captain Marvel just because there’s a petition with a lot of signatures, the momentum has been gathering behind the campaign for Disney to give Alita: Battle Angel a sequel over the last few days, and the double whammy of...

Star Wars Rumor Addresses How Leia Will Be Brought to the Screen in The Rise Of Skywalker
In a recent report on Starwarsnewsnet, the topic of Leia’s character portrayal in the final film has been brought back up, this time with new rumored information on how it will all be done. Author John Hoey claims a source of his gave some clarity on the process of making the late Carrie Fisher’s Princess Leia a part of The Rise of Skywalker, as she should be. Here’s what the source was quoted saying:

“They are combining clips. There will also be no horrible digi-double that was used for Leia in Rogue One. This is all being done in what we call “comp.” There will be some digital work done so her face and body match, but not the uncanny valley like Tarkin in Rogue One. They will be changing her hair or adding wrinkles as she looked very different between Tfa and Tlj.”

The source went...
