Corey Hawkins is one of the many names attached to star in The Odyssey for Christopher Nolan, but ahead of his debut in the 2027 historical epic, he will team up with a former Spider-Man star for a psychological thriller that just got an exciting new look. The Terminal List is getting some serious reinforcements for Season 2. Deadline has reported that Edwin Hodge and Caitlin Bassett (Quantum Leap) have been cast in recurring guest roles in the hit Prime Video action thriller led by Chris Pratt. The casting marks a reunion for Hodge and Pratt, who previously starred together in 2021’s sci-fi blockbuster The Tomorrow War, and now, the two are going from fighting aliens to hunting conspirators in The Terminal List’s grounded and gritty world of covert military ops.

Created by David Digilio and based on the bestselling novels by Jack Carr, The Terminal List follows Navy Seal James Reece (Pratt), who uncovers a deadly conspiracy after his platoon is ambushed during a high-risk mission. Season 1, based on Carr’s debut novel, was a pulse-pounding dive into Reece’s descent into vengeance and justice. Season 2 adapts True Believer, and brings new allies—and enemies—into the fold.

The project reunites Hodge and Chris Pratt, star and executive producer of The Terminal List, both of whom starred in the 2021 sci-fi film The Tomorrow War.

Created by David Digilio, Terminal List follows James Reece (Pratt) after his platoon of Navy SEALs is ambushed during a high-stakes covert mission. The Martha’s Vineyard African American Film Festival (Mvaaf) has announced the opening lineup for its 23rd annual celebration, providing a platform for Black and brown filmmakers, taking place Aug. 1-9, 2025.

Kicking off the festivities on Aug. 1 will be a screening of the sports documentary Unraveling George. Directed by Mike Tollin and narrated by Marlon Wayans, who portrayed George Raveling in 2023’s Air, the film chronicles the notable journey of the Hall of Fame basketball coach known for guiding the careers of several all-star players, including Michael Jordan. It has been a long night at the 2025 BET Awards and now the full winners list has been revealed.

The show is still running after more than four and a half hours on Monday night (June 9) at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles.

Heading into Monday’s ceremony, Kendrick Lamar led the pack with 10 nominations, followed by Doechii, Drake, Future and GloRilla, each of whom netted six nominations.

Back during Leverage‘s original run on TNT, its third season villain was financial mastermind Damien Moreau (Goran Visnjic). What the others didn’t know until they’d actually encountered him was that their hitter, Eliot Spencer (Christian Kane), once worked for him. In “The Big Bang Job,” which aired in 2010, Eliot explained to the others — mastermind Nate Ford (Timothy Hutton), grifter Sophie Devereaux (Gina Bellman), thief Parker (Beth Riesgraf), and hacker Alec Hardison (Aldis Hodge) — that he’d been trying to protect them, which he saw as his job. Though Nate thought they could handle Moreau, Eliot disagreed. “We’re out of our league, Nate. Every one of Moreau’s men has innocent blood on their hands. Every one of them. Every one of them are worse than me. You think you know what I’ve done? The worst thing I ever did in my entire life, I did for Damien Moreau.

Aldis Hodge has signed with WME for representation in all areas.

Hodge currently stars as Alex Cross in Amazon’s hit crime thriller Cross, based on James Patterson’s bestselling series. The show premiered in November 2024, quickly reaching No. 1 on Prime Video’s Top 10 list and earning Hodge nominations from the NAACP Awards, Gotham TV Awards, and BET Awards. The series has been renewed for a second season, which has already wrapped production.

His film and television credits include starring as Mc Ren in Straight Outta Compton, with the cast earning a SAG Award nomination for Best Ensemble, Black Adam, the Showtime series City on a Hill, One Night in Miami, The Invisible Man and Clemency, which won the Grand Jury Prize at Sundance and earned Hodge a Virtuoso Award at the Santa Barbara Film Festival.

Other notable credits include Brian Banks, Hidden Figures, What Men Want, Jack Reacher: Never Go Back and Leverage: Redemption.

The end is here for the scheme team for another season. Leverage: Redemption airs its Season 3 finale in just two days with one final con centered around the team's thief, Parker (Beth Riesgraf). Titled "The Side Job," the episode follows Parker on what initially appears to be a solo mission to bring down a local factory kingpin reaping the benefits of child labor. Before she sets out, however, Collider has an exclusive sneak peek that sees her surprising corrupt lawyer-turned-fixer, Harry Wilson, played by The Pitt star Noah Wyle, with a heart-to-heart conversation and an important proposition.

In the footage, Harry gets quite the jumpscare when he cheerfully walks out to his car, only for Parker to pop up from the back seat when he climbs in. It serves as an important lesson to the newest Leverage member — always check your back seat for intruders — but it also opens up...

As Leverage: Redemption gets closer to the end of season 3, the Leverage team is taking on an unusual case, and ScreenRant has an exclusive clip from this week's episode, Leverage: Redemption season 3, episode 9, “The Polygeist Job,” to prove it. The revival series has done an excellent job of maintaining the tone of the original while updating its stories for today’s audiences, and it does it again here. “The Polygeist Job” will take the format of a traditional Leverage episode, but it does so with the inclusion of a modern romantic idea: the polycule.

Leverage: Redemption season 3, episode 9, “The Polygeist Job,” sees the team go up against a technology guru who is claiming to use their company's work to make the world a better place. The Leverage team goes after the tech company’s executives by pulling a “cabin in the woods” job, but finds the group is even closer than they initially thought.

There have been rumblings for years about Ghost Rider making his MCU debut, but they've heated up this week. Marvel Studios is reportedly looking to cast the role for Avengers: Doomsday, introducing Earth-616's Spirit of Vengeance.

However, there will be a few complications to navigate once an old friend gets involved. Leverage: Redemption Season 3 picks up this week with Episode 8, titled "The Cooling Off the Mark Job," which finds Jack Hurley (Drew Powell) stumbling into a mark out for revenge against the crew, forcing him to take point on the cool off of one of their cons. Despite the best efforts of the team, though, the delicate operation falls apart and soon spins into a brand-new con altogether. In Collider's exclusive sneak peek at the upcoming episode, Christian Kane's ever-reliable hitter Eliot Spencer tries to get things under control and gives Hurley some guidance.

Prime Video’s crime thriller Cross is a dark and gritty series that delves into Washington D.C.’s criminal underbelly, led by the titular forensic psychologist and homicide D.C. Metro detective played by Aldis Hodge. But once you meet Hodge and Isaiah Mustafa, who plays Detective John Sampson, Cross’ partner in the series, you wouldn’t believe the pair ever shared a serious moment since meeting on the project.

Hodge and Mustafa were joined by director Nzingha Stewart at the Deadline Studio at Prime Experience, where they joked about everything from tequila, Mustafa’s former gig starring in Old Spice ads, and Hodge’s aging knees.

“Whenever you do a pilot, the one thing that a director does not know until day one is, ‘What’s the chemistry going to be like?’ Sometimes it feels really cold and separate, but right away from the first scene, [Hodge and Mustafa] have that chemistry,” said Stewart, who directed the first two episodes of Cross and served as executive producer.

She continued, “Ben writes beautiful dialogue, but [Hodge and Mustafa] always add little pluses to it. I remember the scene where Aldis said, [Mustafa] smelled like Old Spice, and it was great. It made me laugh out loud. I ruined so many takes and had to go again because I laughed out loud at something they said.”

“Are we really going there, you guys?” asked Mustafa, pretending to use a stern voice while laughing.

“Yeah, we’re going there, bro,” joked Hodge, who also produced Cross.

Mustafa replied while pointing at Hodge, “I’m older than him in real life, but he treats me like a little brother.”

Hodge and Mustafa’s instant bond also helped make the many action scenes work flawlessly. They admit they declined to use stunt doubles; the work is heavily dependent on the trust forged between the two actors.

Hodge also highlighted his appreciation for the show having the perfect amount of fight scenes.

“The action scenes, everything is choreographed. The thing that I like about it is that it’s all tasteful, and it drives the narrative, tone, and style. Nothing feels egregious, it still keeps that sense of suspense and that sense of excitement because you don’t know exactly what they’re getting into, how they’re going to get out of it,” Hodge said.

He also spoke to the important role Stewart played in molding the series.

“There’s a tonal thing that happens, which I want to speak to on a few fronts. That relationship that [Cross and Sampson] have, Ben always intended that to be a big part of the heart of the show. With Nzingha, being the first director, it’s a bigger job for the overall show because you have to set the tone and basically the blueprint for what the show will look like in terms of our color palette. That’s Nzingha.

He added, “It’s those first two episodes that create the rules for how everything else flows. We got really lucky to work with her in that space and in that capacity.”...

Nominations were selected by the BET Voting Academy, which is comprised of an esteemed group of entertainment professionals and influencers in the fields of music, media, digital marketing, sports journalism, public relations, and creative arts.

Voting for the 2025 Viewer’s Choice Award will open soon.

The show will air live on BET from the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles on Monday, June 9 at 8 p.m. Et. This milestone 25th anniversary event will honor “25 years of cultural excellence, spotlighting the most influential names in music, film, television, and sports.”

Kendrick Lamar leads the way with 10 nominations for the 25th BET Awards, which were announced Thursday honoring Black excellence across music, TV, film and sports.

Lamar scooped up noms for Album of the Year and Best Male Hip Hop Artist as well as three noms each in the Viewers Choice and Best Collaboration categories.

Doechii, Drake, Future and GloRilla have six nominations apiece, while Metro Boomin has five and Sza and The Weeknd have four apiece.

Adolescence, Dying for Sex, The Pitt, and The Studio are among the top Emmy contenders nominated for the 2025 Gotham Television Awards, the Gotham Film & Media Institute announced on Tuesday.

Netflix hit limited series Adolescence led all programs with four nominations, including bids for limited series, lead performance for limited series (Stephen Graham), and two supporting performance nominations (Erin Doherty and show breakout Owen Cooper).

Max hit The Pitt landed three nominations: breakthrough drama series, best drama performance for star Noah Wyle, and best drama supporting performance for Katherine Lanasa.

Dying for Sex also hit in three categories: limited series, limited series lead (Michelle Williams), and limited series supporting performance (Jenny Slate).

Today, Deadline announced that the author has paired with the studio for another project, with the duo’s series, Cross, now in the rearview. The company struck a deal with Patterson and his co-scribe, Duane Swierczynski, to bring their upcoming book Billion-Dollar Ransom to feature-length form. Joining the efforts to adapt the book will be Academy Award-winning writer Stephen Gaghan, who, in the past, has penned favorites like Rules of Engagement and Traffic.

It just didn’t get any better for Aldis Hodge, because he had no clue Henry Cavill was suiting up in Black Adam until the last possible moment. Imagine being in a movie and not knowing its biggest surprise. That’s exactly what happened to the Black Adam star, who played Hawkman in the DC flick.

Hodge only found out about Superman’s cameo “pretty close to the premiere.” That’s right. While fans had been speculating for months, the actor had zero idea the Man of Steel was making a grand return. “They kept that all the way under wraps, and I didn’t know until maybe a day or two before the premiere,” he revealed in an interview with THR. “So they kept it that close.”

That level of secrecy was next-level. Not even a whisper on set. No subtle nods from The Rock.

On May 14 of last year, Amazon MGM Studios chief Jennifer Salke took the stage at Pier 36 in New York City, looking to convince advertisers that Amazon was playing to win in Hollywood.

Prime Video has officially released the first trailer for its upcoming series, Étoile, which will premiere on the platform on April 24. The first season consists of eight episodes, and while Prime Video gives some shows, such as The Boys and Reacher, the weekly release treatment, Étoile will come into the world via the binge model, with all episodes debuting simultaneously. Featuring in the lead roles of Étoile are Luke Kirby, Charlotte Gainsbourg, and Lou de Laâge. Kirby is best known for his Emmy Award-winning work on The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, another Prime Video original series, while Gainsbourg is famed for starring in Antichrist (2009) and Melancholia (2011). De Laâge recently starred in The Mad Women’s Ball alongside Emmanuelle Bercot, and she’s also known for her work in The Innocents(2016).
