According to a 1987 interview in the Los Angeles Times, she credits Elvis with saving her life. After filming the cabana scene in Jailhouse Rock (1957), Holden went to her trailer. As Elvis walked by he noticed that the trailer was on fire and the fire had blocked the door. When he yelled for help, several crew members rushed over and got her out of the burning trailer.
