Richard Holmes
Richard is a Producers Guild of America nominee and 30-year veteran of the British film business. He is producing The Bitter End, directed by Mike Newell and starring Joan Collins, Isabella Rossellini, Miranda Richardson, Laurent Lafitte and Charles Dance. He is developing films for the BFI, Film4 and other commercial investors, with talent including Roy Williams OBE, Clint Dyer and Amit Gupta. His last film, Midas Man, was released by Amazon and his horror hit, The Ritual, was produced for eOne and sold worldwide to Netflix. He spent three years managing production funding for Creative England, executive producing fourteen features, including the acclaimed and multi award-winning Gods Own Country, 45 Years, Calibre and Jawbone. Previous productions also include Resistance (starring Andrea Riseborough), Eden Lake (starring Michael Fassbender) and worldwide sleeper hit Waking Ned. He co-wrote and produced Shooting Fish (starring Kate Beckinsale) and his first film was the Scottish BAFTA-winning Soft Top, Hard Shoulder (starring Peter Capaldi). Richard was a co-founder of trade body The New Producers Alliance and for three years he was the Vice-Chairman for Film at PACT, the UK Producers Alliance for Cinema and TV. His films have picked up honours at the Berlin Film Festival, Sitges and the Empire Awards.
