Harry van Hoof was born on 16 March 1943 in Hilversum, German-occupied Netherlands. He was an actor and composer, known for The Oath (2018), Eline Vere (1991) and Nationaal Songfestival (1956). He was married to Trea Dobbs. He died on 1 June 2024 in Eindhoven, Noord-Brabant, Netherlands.
