Helluva Boss, the animated YouTube series that shares a universe with Hazbin Hotel, is soon getting a new beginning when it arrives on Amazon Prime Video. Prime previously distributed Hazbin Hotel season 1 and swiftly confirmed Hazbin Hotel season 2, but the streamer now also has a stake in its sister show.
Helluva Boss was announced to be coming to Prime Video a few months ago, meaning that the streamer will have new episodes exclusively for a month or so, before they are also released on YouTube. The series follows start-up business owner Blitzø (Brandon Rogers), who runs a company of Imp assassins in Hell carrying out hits in the living world.
At the Hellaverse panel at San Diego Comic-Con 2025, where ScreenRant was in attendance, the release date for Hazbin Hotel season was confirmed to be Oct. 29, 2025. It was also announced that the first two seasons of Helluva Boss will be on Prime on Sept.

As the Helluvaerse continues to expand, popular YouTube series Helluva Boss will be having its first crossover soon, which lead voice actor Brandon Rogers recently talked about enthusiastically in an interview. Helluva Boss is set in the same iteration of Hell as Prime Video's hit animated musical series Hazbin Hotel; the two shows focus on different sets of characters with different goals, who, up until now, have not interacted. However, going into Helluva Boss season 3 and Hazbin Hotel season 2, it was announced that Helluva Boss would be released on Prime first, and a crossover was strongly hinted at.
Internet personality and comedian Brandon Rogers voices Blitzø, the founder of I.M.P., a company of assassins at the center of Helluva Boss. During an interview with Nerd Reactor, Rogers said that the Helluva Boss/Hazbin Hotel crossover is coming, but "[he doesn't] think fans will ever guess in what way they come together." Joking...

During the early 2000s, Cartoon Network boasted an embarrassment of riches in terms of the volume of high-quality shows on its platform. Cult classic series like Teen Titans, The Powerpuff Girls, Codename: Kids Next Door, Samurai Jack, and Ed, Edd, n Eddy were daily fixtures on the network, delivering round-the-clock entertainment to its largely Gen Z audience. Beloved series such as Johnny Test, Total Drama Island, Totally Spies, Chowder and Ben 10 also helped establish Cartoon Network's golden age. While most Cartoon Network series carry a lighthearted, playful tone, there is one series with a hilariously dark origin story that surprisingly became a network favorite — The Grim Adventures of Billy & Mandy.

Disney and Pixar’s 2017 hit Coco may have been the first time many audiences truly experienced the beauty of Dia de los Muertos, but it’s far from the first time mainstream media has brought Latin American culture to the forefront. It may be the most popular depiction of the holiday, but its gorgeous visuals and catchy songs followed the success of George Gutierrez’s similarly themed The Book of Life. That’s not to say either film is better than the other. Both have their merits, and their stories are dissimilar enough to qualify as mostly unique experiences.
However, fans of the 2017 hit are always looking for something new to enjoy. Fortunately, Gutierrez’s work stretches back further than The Book of Life. Before the beautifully stylized film hit theaters, Gutierrez worked on a lesser-known venture — a Nickelodeon cartoon — called El Tigre: The Adventures of Manny Rivera. Vivziepop’s two hit animated series, Helluva Boss and Hazbin Hotel, exist in the same fictional universe, colloquially known as the Hellaverse. This overlap between the two musicals has created the perfect opportunity for Hazbin Hotel Easter eggs to exist in Helluva Boss, and vice versa. Vivziepop has certainly delivered on this score, with character cameos, subtle background imagery, and many other fun references made between the Helluva and Hazbin worlds.
Season 2 of Hazbin Hotel has burning questions to answer regarding Lilith, the backstory of Demon Overlords Alastor (Amir Talai) and Vox (Christian Borle), and the fate of the Hazbin Hotel after the battle between Heaven and Hell. Likewise, the Helluva Boss season 2 ending has brewed speculation on the newly revealed Deadly Sins as well as Stolas’ future after the trial in “Mastermind.” As fans eagerly anticipate the upcoming seasons, these Hazbin Hotel Easter eggs in Helluva Boss deserve another look.

Cartoon teachers often don't take center stage and are usually the obstacle that gets in the way of their students having fun or causing trouble. However, they are essential in many programs and movies because they ground the stories in reality. Animated shows are often geared toward kids, who have to deal with teachers on a daily basis. It makes sense for a number of these series to feature the student-teacher relationship.
While some teachers try their hardest to teach, others are more concerned about making an impact in their student's lives. The best TV teachers, animated or not, do both. They not only teach their lessons successfully but leave their students hungry to learn more. Even though some animated teachers aren't the best at their job, they are certainly memorable. The role of the teacher isn't usually an exciting one in animation, but these educators have left their mark on television history.

When it comes to kids' cartoons, a few motifs spring to mind. Whether it's a dream-like setting or a rag-tag group of adorable characters, these shows tend to be quite juvenile so that they can appeal to their immature audiences. But that doesn't mean that this sector doesn't have its successes. Even in a time when personal technology rules overall, children's television is still a remarkably lucrative sector.
That being said, not every kids' cartoon is created equal. Some shows enjoy experimenting with a wealth of horror themes, giving their audience a little fright wherever they can. As such, it seems that some of the most successful cartoons of all time are also some of the scariest.

Shonen anime continue to be the biggest properties in the medium, be they old-school classics such as Dragon Ball Z or newer hits such as Demon Slayer. In recent years, anime remakes have become an increasingly common thing. The next major series to be remade is the upcoming The One Piece by Netflix, but there are other works that are just as deserving of a new animated iteration.
In some cases, these anime should be remade in order to streamline their stories in the best, most modern ways possible. On the other hand, there are some shonen anime from the past few decades that never adapted the entirety of the manga they were based on. Thus, they're great candidates for new incarnations that anime fans young and old can enjoy.

Following rumors over the weekend, TV Line has confirmed that Hasbro's Power Rangers cinematic universe, which was expected to include both an original television show and new films, that had been in development at Netflix for the past two years is no longer moving forward at the streamer.
X user @Jinsakuu was the first to break the story, before the trade was able to obtain confirmation. In their initial tweet, the online scooper explained, "Due to the lack of staff and all the departments and responsibilities Hasbro had to take on. They’re lisencing Power Rangers Toys and Media off to other companies. As we seen with playmates who now own full control of the toys they’re doing the same with the show rights. Also they’re trying to be as hands off as possible and still own the franchises revenues. So good news maybe ??"

Maxwell Atom's animated series "The Grim Adventures of Billy & Mandy" debuted on the Cartoon Network on June 13, 2003, and would go on to run for 84 episodes over the course of six seasons. The premise was delightfully ghoulish. The cluelessly happy Billy (Richard Steven Horvitz) and the angry misanthrope Mandy (Grey DeLisle) once cheated Death by rigging a limbo competition; it seems that Death will grant favors to the living should they win at a competition à la Ingmar Bergman's "The Seventh Seal."
Because of Billy and Mandy's limbo victory, a grim reaper named Grim (Greg Eagles) becomes their indentured servant. Grim constantly wants to kill Billy and Mandy, while the kids just want to go on adventures. Grim begrudgingly goes along. Early Billy & Mandy segments were originally aired as part of the diptych series "Grim & Evil," which shared its 22-minute airtime with another Maxwell Atom series, "Evil Con Carne.

My Adventures with Superman is one of the most brilliant superhero animated series. Created by Brendan Clougher, Jake Wyatt, and Josie Campbell, the Adult Swim series tells the story of Superman aka Clark Kent as he starts his new job at The Daily Planet, with his roommate Jimmy Olson, and his senior intern at The Daily Planet who is none other than Lois Lane. They quickly become a team and try to bring in big stories so that they can become real reporters while Clark also tries to become the hero he is meant to be. My Adventures with Superman has great action but the brilliant thing about the series is that it isn’t an action series about Superman, it’s a series about a superhero and his relationships as he figures out who he really is. So, if you love the heart, optimism, great story, and fantastic animation...

Instead of go-go Power Rangers for the 30th anniversary special on Netflix, at least one prominent cast member is singing no-go.
“For the record I never said no,” Johnson tweeted on Wednesday. “I just didn’t say yes to what was offered. But other fun stuff is in store! Looking forward to watching my friends kick ass!”
Netflix is powering up the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: Once & Always, a standalone special set for April 19 that reunites David Yost as Billy Cranston, the original Blue Ranger; Walter E. Jones as Zack Taylor, the original Black Ranger; Steve Cardenas as Rocky DeSantos, the second Red Ranger; Catherine Sunderland as Kat, the second Pink Ranger; Karan Ashley as Aisha Campbell, the second Yellow Ranger; and Johnny Yong Bosch as Adam Park, the second Black Ranger.

Some of the most memorable characters in Power Rangers history are assembling for a 30th anniversary special on Netflix. (Key word: some.)
Among those not returning is Amy Jo Johnson, who played Kimberly Hart, the first-ever Pink Ranger on Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, from 1993 to 1995. And lest there be any confusion about why Kimberly isn’t suiting back up for old time’s sake, Johnson has cleared the air in a tweet.

"Power Rangers" is one of the biggest franchises to come out of the '90s. Based on the Japanese franchise "Super Sentai," the "Power Rangers" series follows a group of teenagers chosen to fight evil with the help of super suits and giant robots that morph together to make an even bigger robot.
When it premiered, the series was the closest '90s kids got to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. You got a team of superheroes fighting cartoonish villains by punching the hell out of them, with a more diverse team than even the current MCU has.
And just like the MCU, the "Power Rangers" franchise has an expansive universe with a couple of different timelines, and stories that go to space, and travel to different galaxies, yet they all somehow have the same technology as our timeline. Still, no matter how many seasons there are, there is arguably no...

Eagle Pictures Seals Italy Distribution & Production Deal With Sony
Tarak Ben Ammar’s Italian distribution and production house Eagle Pictures has sealed a distribution and production deal with Sony Pictures Entertainment which will take effect from 2023. “The deal with Sony represents an important step in consolidating the company as one of the biggest players in the sector alongside Disney, Universal and Warner Bros Italia,” said Ben Ammar in a release. Eagle Pictures was Italy’s top-performing distributor in the second quarter of 2022, thanks in part to its long-standing relationship with Paramount which saw it handle the Italian release of Top Gun: Maverick. Under the deal, Eagle Pictures will handle the Italian release of Spe features and the partners will also produce five Italian and European films together, which will then be distributed internationally via Sony’s worldwide distribution network. Minnie Mouse is, dare I say it, an iconic character. She, Mickey, and all their Disney cartoon pals have been entertaining children for generations.
For decades, Minnie was voiced by Russi Taylor. After Taylor passed in 2019, however, voice actor Kaitlyn Robrock took on the Minnie mantle and is bringing her to life on various shows as well as certain attractions in Disney's theme parks.
Earlier this month, I had the chance to speak with Robrock during Dragon Con, a 65,000-person convention in Atlanta that celebrates fandoms of all kinds, where Robrock was a guest. We talked about how she got into voice acting in general, including her jump from Adult Swim cartoons to Minnie, and what it's like voicing other characters, such as the Tusken raiders on "The Book of Boba Fett."
This interview has been lightly edited for clarity and brevity.

Everett Peck, the illustrator and cartoonist who created the irreverent Jason Alexander-starring animated series Duckman, has died. He was 71.
Peck died Tuesday in Solana Beach, California, of complications from a long battle with pancreatic cancer, his wife, Helen, told The Hollywood Reporter.
Peck created Duckman for a 1990 one-off comic book published by Dark Horse Comics while pitching the idea for an adults-only animated series. It finally made it to the air in 1994 on the USA Network via Klasky-Csupo (the original production company behind The Simpsons), ran four seasons through 1997 and was nominated for three Emmys.
“Duckman represents the plight of the little guy in an ever more complex and demanding world,” Peck said in a 2009 interview. “Like many of us, he struggles to break even but is ultimately squashed by powers far beyond his control.”

"Let's see if we can take down a few of those sharks." Netflix has unveiled an official trailer for an animated comedy called Seal Team, a fun take on the Navy SEALs but about actual seals trying to fight back against sharks and whales. "Jaws will drop!" Ha ha ha. After his best friend is killed in a shark attack, Quinn, a lovable yet tenacious seal assembles a wacky "Seal Team" to fight back against a gang of sharks overtaking the neighborhood. Quinn and his squad of misfit recruits will stand up to ruthless sharks with razor-sharp teeth and reclaim the open sea. The ensemble voice cast features J.K. Simmons as Claggart, with Kristen Schaal, Patrick Warburton, Dolph Lundgren, Sharlto Copley, Matthew Rhys, Richard Steven Horvitz, Catherine Taber, and Jessie T. Usher as Quinn. Yeah this looks like some harmless fun, but it doesn't look that smart or original overall.

If you're a fan of Invader Zim, I'm sure you'll be happy to learn that Nickelodeon has teamed up with creator Jhonen Vasquez to develop a 90-minute TV movie. Invader Zim debuted on Nickelodeon in 2001 and followed the adventures of an extraterrestrial named Zim who was on a mission to conquer Earth and enslave the human race.
This was a great series that has a pretty big fanbase, but the series only last two seasons. The movie follows the "perpetually desperate and delusional Zim as he creates a new and potentially Earth-destroying plan to finally get the attention he deserves from his Irken leaders, the Almighty Tallest."
When talking about the project, Nickelodeon's Chris Viscardi had this to say:
“As a network that prides itself on a 25-year history of creating groundbreaking, hilarious animation for kids, Invader Zim is one of our great loves. It’s been so exciting to...

The new Power Rangers movie continues to summon some big-name help for its supporting cast, with Entertainment Weekly reporting that Bill Hader will be playing aye-yi-yi-prone helper robot Alpha 5 in the upcoming film. Hader joins a cast that includes Bryan Cranston as giant floating head Zordon, Elizabeth Banks as the villainous Rita Repulsa, and a cast of relative newcomers as the Rangers themselves.
The high-pitched, often bumbling Alpha served as comic relief on the original series, where he was voiced by Invader Zim’s Richard Horvitz, and physically played by a number of actors, including Romy J. Sharf and Andy Sellner. Meanwhile, Hader—whose Documentary Now! is currently airing on IFC— is no stranger to giving voice to robotic individuals: along with Ben Schwartz, he provided the vocalizations for beloved ball-droid Bb-8 in Star Wars: The Force Awakens.

The first Warcraft trailer isn't the only big news out of BlizzCon today. We just received a press release announcing the launching of Activision Blizzard Studios, a studio "devoted to creating original content based on the company's extensive library of iconic and globally-recognized intellectual properties." And as you might have guessed, that means a Call of Duty cinematic universe is in the works.
First up, though, is a TV show called Skylanders Academy based on the popular Skylanders game. Justin Long, Jonathan Banks (Breaking Bad), Ashley Tisdale, and Norm Macdonald will provide voices for the animated series.
There aren't any details about the plans of the Call of Duty cinematic universe (other than referring to it as "robust"), but it sounds like Activision Blizzard Studios is taking a page from Ubisoft's playbook here, making sure they retain creative control over their mega-popular games and bringing them to the big screen...
