Trailer for Brutal Boxing Drama '12 Round Gun' Featuring Sam Upton
"What's important is: what are you going to do about it?" Gravitas Ventures has released an official trailer for a new boxing drama titled 12 Round Gun, the feature directorial debut of actor Sam Upton, who also stars in the film. It originally had the title of Gun, won an Audience Award at the Beverly Hills Film Festival last year, and is now getting a VOD release. Upton plays a washed up, alcoholic ex-prizefighter who makes a comeback to boxing after his top heavyweight contender son is wrongfully blinded in the ring. Also starring Mark Boone Junior, Kate Vernon, Jared Abrahamson, Cassi Thomson, Isaac C. Singleton Jr., Holly Gagnier, and Jay Acovone. This looks just like every other boxing film, with nothing new to offer. Here's the first official trailer (+ poster) for Sam Upton's 12 Round Gun, direct from YouTube: A washed up, alcoholic ex-prizefighter, Joe Romano (Sam Upton), makes...

Exclusive Interview: Sam Upton Talks Summit Films' Latest Thriller Gone
Up-and-coming actor Sam Upton stars alongside Amanda Seyfried, Jennifer Carpenter, and Wes Bentley in Gone, and we had an opportunity to chat with him about his experiences making the film and what we can expect from the thriller, which hits theaters today.

In Gone Seyfried plays 20-something Jill Parrish, who comes home from her night shift at work to discover that her sister Molly has been abducted. Jill, having escaped from a kidnapping the year before, is sure that the same serial killer has come back and taken Molly. Unable to convince local police officials of her suspicions, Jill sets out alone on a heart-pounding chase to find the killer, expose his secrets and save her sister, all while the police, particularly Officer McKay, played by Upton, are hot on her trail so they can find her before she hurts herself or anyone else during her quest to get her sister back.

Amanda Seyfried in Gone (2012)
Interview: Sam Upton "Movies Still Excite Me"
Amanda Seyfried in Gone (2012)
At the time I’d interviewed Sam Upton–Tuesday, a few hours before the premiere of his film “Gone”–he hadn’t seen the final cut of the film. “I don’t know what happens, that’s the honest truth,” he said, laughing. “I’m watching with as much bated breath as you are.” Upton is a far cry from his character in “Gone,” Officer McKay, a “quintessential pig,” in Upton’s words. “He’s like this arrogant, fast-talking, macho cop,” he said. In order to get in the groove to play McKay, Upton said it all came down to the costume. “Once you put on a cop uniform, you’re changed instantaneously. It’s crazy,” he said. “To put on...
