Chenford fans are so excited about what’s in store on ABC’s The Rookie season seven episode six after watching the promo. The teaser for the Valentine’s Day-themed episode gives Chenford shippers hope that a reunion is in store for the fan-favorite couple.

Episode six, “The Gala,” will air on Tuesday, February 11, 2025 at 10pm Et/Pt.

The cast is led by Nathan Fillion as John Nolan. Season seven stars Mekia Cox as Nyla Harper, Alyssa Diaz as Angela Lopez, Richard T. Jones as Sergeant Wade Grey, Melissa O’Neil as Lucy Chen, Eric Winter as Tim Bradford, Jenna Dewan as Bailey Nune, Shawn Ashmore as Wesley Evers, and Lisseth Chavez as Celina Juarez. Deric Augustine and Patrick Keleher recur as Miles and Seth.

“The Gala” Plot: It’s Valentine’s Day, and Lieutenant Grey gives Tim and Lucy an unromantic assignment, while John and Celina track down a missing girl.

The Chicago Med season 8 finale featured the exit of one original main character, a continuing medical scare for one doctor, the promise of bad times ahead for Gaffney Chicago Medical Center, and so many more plot developments that led to questions that the writers will have to answer when season 9 airs. NBC renewed the medical drama series for a ninth season in April 2023, along with the other One Chicago television shows. Unfortunately, it's unclear when any of them will premiere.

The Writers Guild of America (WGA) and the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers (AMPTP) failed to reach an agreement regarding a new contract after the old one expired, so the writers went on strike on May 2, 2023. As of the writing of this article, the strike is still ongoing as the writers fight for their rights, and it's unknown when any television shows, including Chicago Med, will resume production.

Dr. Will Halstead (Nick Gehlfuss) has been chafing under newly profit-centered management of the Gaffney Chicago Medical Center since Jack Dayton (Sasha Roiz) took control of the hospital. The season eight finale of Chicago Med brought his frustration to a head, when Dayton insisted on going through with a surgery assisted by his Or 2.0 system, under protest by Dr. Crockett Marcel (Dominic Rains).

The routine hernia surgery goes fine — no thanks to 2.0, which shows a complication that’s not there. Halstead admits to Goodwin (S. Epatha Merkerson) that he manipulated 2.0 to produce a bad result — and protects Dr. Song (T.V. Carpio), who hacked the system — and hands in his resignation letter. “What are we going to do without you?” Goodwin asks him.

Exclusive: T.V. Carpio (Big Sky) has joined the cast of NBC’s Chicago Med in a recurring role, Deadline hears. She will portray Dr. Grace Song, a new doctor hired by Jack Dayton (Sasha Roiz) who will shake things up when the show returns in the spring.

Grace’s hiring comes as no surprise following the news that Jack bought controlling interest in Gaffney Medical Group in the fall finale—building up his own team is par for the course. If Sharon Goodwin’s (S. Epatha Merkerson) reaction to the news of Jack’s come-up is any indication of what’s to come, however, it’s more than likely the addition of Grace won’t be the only change ahead for the hospital.

Unlikely though it may seem Across the Universe 2 may well happen. At the very least, it is being discussed. This, according to director Julie Taymor, who has revealed that she has been speaking with some of the cast about doing a sequel to the 2007 Beatles-inspired musical. Julie Taymor is currently promoting her new movie The Glorias. During a recent interview, the subject of Across the Universe 2 came up. While the filmmaker was hesitant to call it that, she did explain that she had a call about a follow-up recently, with Jim Sturgess interested in returning. Here's what she had to say about it.

This comes after The CW announced they would be picking up "Arrow" based on the DC comic book series Green Arrow, in which Cassidy stars as Dinah Lance, who later becomes Black Canary.

Filming on Dan Schaffer’s graphic novel The Scribbler begins later this week in Los Angeles for a live action theatrical film release.

Schaffer’s graphic novel was originally published in 2006 by Image Comics. A new “director’s cut” of the graphic novel is being prepared by the recently re-launched First Comics™ for release in conjunction with the film’s opening. Schaffer penned the screenplay adapted from his graphic novel.

The thriller centers on Suki, a young woman confined in a mental institution and being treated with an experimental machine dubbed “The Siamese Burn, designed to eliminate multiple personalities. Los Angeles (May 9, 2012)—Katie Cassidy (Taken) will topline as the title character in the mind-bending thriller feature, The Scribbler, which begins production this week in downtown Los Angeles. Starring alongside Cassidy will be Garret Dillahunt (Winter’S Bone), Michelle Trachtenberg (Gossip Girl), Eliza Dushku (Dollhouse), Gina Gershon (Killer Joe), Michael Imperioli (The Lovely Bones), Billy Campbell (The Killing), and Sasha Grey (The Girlfriend Experience). Rounding out the supporting cast are Ashlynn Yennie (The Human Centipede), Kunal Nayyar (The Big Bang Theory), and T.V. Carpio (Limitless). John Suits will direct. The Scribbler concerns Suki (Cassidy), a young woman confronting her destructive mental illness using “The Siamese Burn”, an experimental machine designed to eliminate multiple personalities. In January, as news of the show's creative and safety issues turned the then $65 million production into one of the Great White Way's most spectacular disasters, we admitted that while there were some enjoyable aspects, you were better off popping in a DVD of a Tobey Maguire "Spider-Man" flick than trekking to New York to see the musical.

What a difference a few months — and a new creative team — makes. Out went Julie Taymor, in came writers like comics vet Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa, and the results are just what the web-slinging wonderboy needed. We're not the only ones who feel that way.

Okay, I'll admit it: A few months ago I wouldn't even have entertained the idea of seeing "Spider-Man: Turn Off The Dark" multiple times, let alone recommend that you see it. Back in January, when we published a list of five things we liked about the show and five things we hated, we had trouble coming up with enough items for the former, and had even more trouble narrowing down our list of the latter.

Since then, the budget-busting Broadway show has undergone a massive overhaul, with former director Julie Taymor departing the production, and an entirely new set of writers — including comics scribe Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa — brought on to rework the script.

With the show finally ending its record-breaking run of preview performances next week and marking its official Broadway debut, I found myself in the audience a second time to find out whether "Spider-Man: Turn Off The Dark" had...

Two sources tell me that an announcement was made to the cast and crew that Reeve Carney, who plays Peter Parker, Jennifer Damiano (Mary Jane), and Patrick Page (Green Goblin) are all out of the main performances for the next two weeks. The reason is they’re rehearsing new material on dawn til dusk.

The good news might be that audiences will see Matthew James Thomas as Peter Parker. He’s very good. What’s unclear is how this affects the character of Arachne, played by T.V. Carpio. She’s been out because of an injury. Her understudy, America Olivo, has been playing Arachne. Who is rehearsing Arachne’s new material is a big question. Your friendly neighborhood MTV Splash Page editor was in attendance at a performance of "Spider-Man: Turn Off The Dark" last night, and while there were a few technical glitches that stalled the show, there didn't appear to be any on-stage injuries during the production. The same cannot be said of a performance last week, however, that put actress T.V. Carpio out of commission for two weeks.

Carpio, who plays the eight-legged, goddess-like Arachne in the musical, suffered the undisclosed injury during a March 16 preview performance, according to The New York Times. The report indicates that the injury occurred during a fight scene with actor Matthew James Thomas, who replaced Reeve Carney as Peter Parker for that night's performance.

Carpio has been replaced by America Olivo as the show's Arachne, and played the role during last night's performance, which featured a high-flying, wire-assisted brawl between Spider-Man and Arachne in Act II...

On the set of Good Morning America yesterday, singer Chris Brown tore off his shirt and assaulted a window after being asked by Gma host Robin Roberts about his assault on Rihanna. Neither the window, nor ABC is pressing charges against Brown and Gma has invited the star back to complete the interview.

Beleaguered Broadway musical Spider-man: Turn Off The Dark has been marred by another accident - actress T.V. Carpio has temporarily bowed out of the production after an onstage mishap.

Across The Universe star Carpio replaced injured Natalie Mendoza as villainess Arachne in the musical earlier this year, but now she's had to take leave too.

Carpio was hurt during a stunt last week (ends20Mar11) and has abandoned the role to allow herself time to recover.

In a statement, spokesperson Rick Miramontez says, "T.V. Carpio sustained an injury on Wednesday, March 16 during an onstage battle scene with a fellow actor. On doctor's orders, she will be out of the show for the next two weeks."

BroadwayWorld.com reports Carpio is nursing a whiplash injury.

Actress America Olivo is now taking over the role until Carpio's return.

The show, which will temporarily close in April so producers can overhaul it before its official launch in June, has been plagued with onset accidents. Four other castmembers - including Mendoza - have been left injured after incidents in rehearsals and preview performances.

Another day, another piece of bad news for Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark. Producers announced today that actress T.V. Carpio, who plays the enigmatic villainess Arachne, was sidelined from the show for two weeks after an onstage injury during the March 16 performance. She has been replaced by America Olivo. Carpio herself was a replacement for the original actress playing Arachne, Natalie Mendoza, who withdrew from the show after sustaining a concussion in November. The nature of Carpio’s injury was not immediately known.

It looks like Spider-Man: Turn Off The Dark is missing it's villain Arachne, according to The New York Times. T.V. Carpio, Natalie Mendoza's replacement, has suffered a neck injury during a recent preview performance of the $65 million Broadway show. Carpio received a neck injury during a climactic battle scene with Peter Parker.

This is the latest in a series of problems for the production. The show was recently delayed again and now writer Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa and director Philip William McKinley have been brought in to get the show up for it's June 14 debut.
