Lindy Newton

Lindy Newton began her acting career at age 10, performing on stage at
the Waycross Area Community Theatre. By age 12, she had received the
Deep South Theatre Coalition's Best Leading Actress award for her
portrayal of Helen Keller in "The Miracle
Worker".
In May of 2004, Lindy graduated from the College of Charleston where she double majored in Media Communications and Theatre. During this time, she was cast as a cheerleader in Radio (2003) and played "Heather Lynn" in The Notebook (2004).
Moving to Los Angeles in 2004, her first audition landed her the lead role of "Lulu Nichols" in Thicker Than Water (2005), a Hallmark Movie of the Week.
Subsequent roles have included a co-starring role on Fox's short-lived Head Cases (2005), another Hallmark film Though None Go with Me (2006) and as "Young Trudy", the late wife of "Adrian Monk", in a flashback scene on the popular television series Monk (2002).
Lindy resides in Venice Beach.
