Grew up in Silver Spring, Maryland, and began making films with the
family camcorder at an early age. He realized the gift an untrained eye
has in terms of creativity when he attended film school at American
University. In the three semesters abroad at FAMU in Prague, he feels
he honed his cinematographer's eye.
