- Shannon is an award-winning impact documentary filmmaker with hands-on experience across all aspects of end-to-end production. He entered the industry through Bond University in 2014, studying Film and Television Production. Shannon then went on to hone his skills over a decade while running his boutique production company, SRP Films. His early work in advertising involved producing and distributing national TV commercials and international micro-documentaries, culminating in the 2019 award-winning documentary film Ofeina'o Lesieli set in The Kingdom of Tonga.
In 2022, Shannon transitioned to long-form filmmaking serving as the lead colourist for six episodes of the television series We Were Tomorrow. In 2023 through his production company SRP Films, he undertook the development of two feature-length documentary films. In 2025 Shannon renamed his production company to Verite Alchemy symbolising the company's new focus on long-form documentary productions.
As producer, director and cinematographer, Shannon's work has been showcased at the Academy Award-qualifying Doc Edge NZ Film Festival. His work won Best International Film at the Sanctuary International Film Festival, Best Short Documentary Film, and Best Cinematography of a Documentary Film at the Los Angeles Cinematography Awards.
