Thomas Middleditch in Entanglement (2017)
The Vancouver Film Festival on Thursday unveiled its Canadian film lineup, including Scooter Corkle's Hollow in the Land, starring Glee's Dianna Agron, and the Thomas Middleditch-starring comedy Entanglement.

Corkle's indie thriller, which also stars Jared Abrahamson, Rachelle Lefevre and Shawn Ashmore, will be released in the U.S. by Vertical Entertainment. Also headed to Vancouver is Jason James' Entanglement, a comedy starring Silicon Valley's Middleditch and Jess Weixler (The Son) as his adoptive sister.

Breaking Glass Pictures Picks Up 'Sitting on the Edge of Marlene'
Read: Breaking Glass Pictures Acquires Indian Noir 'Sunrise' Breaking Glass Pictures has picked up U.S. distribution rights to the emotionally-stirring "Sitting on the Edge of Marlene," which deals with a multitude of contemporary social issues, from pill-popping and crime sprees to social welfare programs and first-world poverty. The film is Ana Valine's directorial debut and is adapted from Billie Livingston's 2010 young adult novel, "The Trouble with Marlene." The harrowing film tells the story of Sammie (Paloma Kwiatkowski), a young, fun-loving 16 year old as she deals with the dysfunction, necessity, and issues of being in a mother-daughter con artist team. Breaking Glass Pictures snaps up 'Marlene'
Sitting on the Edge of Marlene (2014)
Breaking Glass Pictures has acquired Us rights to the Canadian dark drama Sitting On The Edge Of Marlene.

Ana Valine’s feature directorial debut stars Suzanne Clément and Paloma Kwiatkowski as a mother-daughter con artist duo.

Sitting On The Edge Of Marlene is an adaptation of the Billie Livingston novella The Trouble With Marlene and is styled as a bittersweet and emotional journey that deals with dysfunction, addiction, and love.

”Sitting On The Edge Of Marlene is a spectacular feather in the cap for Canadian filmmaking,” said Breaking Glass CEO Rich Wolff. “It is a pleasure to bring interesting films like this to American audiences.”

Wolff negotiated the deal with Marina Cordoni of Marina Cordoni Entertainment and will release the film on digital platforms in June.
