Rohit Shetty has created his own Universe, should we call it RohitVerse? The last scene of Cirkus brings a wide smile and takes you back to Rohit Shetty’s claim to fame ‘Golmaal’ franchise. How I wish if he can come up with a film based on this (you have to watch the last scene). Coming back to what you are here for and that is yet again a part of the RohitVerse with most characters that you have seen in previous Rohit Shetty films probably leaving aside just the two leading ladies (Pooja Hegde and Jacqueline Fernandez). After Ajay Devgn, it seems we will get to see Ranveer Singh too as a fixture in RohitVerse.

Set in the late 1960s and said to be inspired from Shakespeare’s ‘The Comedy of Errors’, which was earlier adapted by Gulzar as Angoor (1982) featuring Sanjeev Kumar and Deven Verma in double roles.

‘Main Hoon Aparajita’

When you have names like Manav Gohil and Shweta Tiwari, surely the show becomes worth watching. ‘Main Hoon Aparajita’ focuses on the life of Aparajita (played by Shweta Tiwari), who is a mother of three daughters and Manav is seen as her ex-husband Akshay and Shweta Gulati plays his second wife, Mohini.

Bollywood star Ranveer Singh has opened up about shooting a scene of getting an electric shock in the film ‘Cirkus’. He shares that the film director Rohit Shetty made him do the rehearsals repeatedly so as to make it look realistic.

He says: “Rohit Sir made me rehearse the scene way before we started shooting, to perfect the reaction of a person getting electrified. We rehearsed so much that our scenes look very natural and are not overdone. It is not a situation where you can take real-life experience and perform.”

Ranveer made his acting debut with ‘Band Baaja Baaraat’, and later did films such as ‘Lootera’, ‘Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela’, ‘Bajirao Mastani ‘, ‘Simmba’, among others and he also hosted the TV show ‘The Big Picture’.

He shares further how he tried his best to bring perfection to the scene: “One can’t just go and grab an electric wire to understand the reaction.

Director Rohit Shetty is set to bring madness on the big screen with his new film starring Ranveer Singh. Presented by Bhushan Kumar in association with Reliance Entertainment the film titled ‘Cirkus’ is Rohit Shetty’s take on the classic Shakespeare farce, The Comedy of Errors.

After the massive success of Simmba and appearing in Sooryavanshi, Cirkus will mark the third outing of Rohit Shetty and Ranveer Singh. Mumbai, Oct 19 (Ians) Actor Ranveer Singh and filmmaker Rohit Shetty are all set to reunite to adapt Shakespearean comedy for the Bollywood screen.

Titled "Cirkus", their new collaboration is an adaptation of William Shakespeare's play "The Comedy Of Errors", with Ranveer essaying a double role.

The play has already been adapted in Bollywood by Gulzar as "Angoor" (1982), starring Sanjeev Kumar and Deven Verma, and the Bimal Roy-produced "Do Dooni Chaar" (1968), starring Kishore Kumar and Asit Sen.

Besides Ranveer in the lead, Shetty's film also features Pooja Hegde, Jacqueline Fernandez, Varun Sharma, Siddhartha Jadhav, Johnny Lever, Sanjay Mishra, Vrajesh Hirjee, Vijay Patkar, Sulbha Arya, Mukesh Tiwari, Anil Charanjeett, Ashwini Kalsekar, and Murli Sharma.

Coupled with the spectacular lineup of films, the weekend brought in huge numbers on Day 4 of the 15th edition of the Mumbai Film Festival organized by the Mumbai Association of Moving Images (Mami) and presented by Reliance Entertainment.

The third Jaipur International Film Festival announced its awards on Sunday. The Golden Camel Award for the Best Director went to Anant Mahadevan for the feature film Red Alert. The film also won the Red Rose Award for best released film during October 2009 to October 2010.
