The Curse Of Rosalie (aka The Harbinger) (2022)

Harbinger (här-bǝn-jǝr)

A: Something or someone that foreshadows a future event,

B: One that initiates a major change: gives an anticipatory sign of what’s to come.

The Curse Of Rosalie from director Will Klipstine, who also stars in the lead role of Daniel Snyder, is an interesting and dense watch. The movie explores so many different elements of horror, crime, demons, tokens, ancient Native American curses and creepy small town neighbors along with a number of twists and turns that you don’t want to blink for a second.

The Curse of Rosalie review – horror moppet presides over thrift shop of evil
Will Klipstine
No scare prop is left out in a clunky tale of magical daggers and spooky furnishings as a family find their daughter is up to her eyes in hellishness

Cluttered as it is with magical, mystical MacGuffins, ghosts, curses and ominous knick-knacks, this cheap but seldom cheerful horror feature is the cinematic equivalent of a thrift store of evil. The plot revolves around the Snyder family: insurance salesman dad Daniel, fervent Catholic mum Theresa (Amanda MacDonald), and young daughter and conduit of evil Rosalie (Madeleine McGraw). The poor kid used to be a happy, unexceptional moppet who, judging by the many saccharine sun-filled flashbacks we’re shown, enjoyed playing football and making cupcakes with her parents. But something happened along the way and now she ominously announces at funerals that the deceased is burning in hell at that very moment, and that a servant of the devil called the Harbinger...

Freaky Supernatural Horror Thriller 'The Harbinger' Official Trailer
Irene Bedard, Will Klipstine, Amanda MacDonald, and Madeleine McGraw in The Harbinger (2022)
"The Harbinger has come." Screen Media Films has revealed an official trailer for an indie horror feature titled The Harbinger, opening soon in early September this year. Hoping to escape their past, Daniel and Theresa Snyder move their troubled young daughter Rosalie in to a quaint Midwestern town, but they are followed by the evil they tried to leave behind. When neighbors and other locals begin to die, the Snyders turn to a Native American seer and uncover a legend that may hold the key to saving their family, or a path to a grisly end for them and all they hold dear. This almost sounds like Poltergeist. The supernatural horror film stars Will Klipstine, who also directs this, plus Irene Bedard, Madeleine McGraw, Amanda MacDonald, and Steve Monroe. It sorta looks like a re-imagining of The Omen, with a young girl "taken" by the Devil. This gets super intense...
