Ahead of The Bachelor season 27 premiere, fans are sharing their hopes, in terms of what they want to see as Zach Shallcross searches for his wife. However, they are also letting the world know what they wish the franchise would leave behind. Zach, a 26-year-old tech executive who currently lives in Austin, Texas, was named the Bachelor after he self-eliminated from The Bachelorette season 19, which starred Rachel Recchia and Gabby Windey. Zach had a strong connection with Rachel, but he felt that she turned into a totally different person behind closed doors, in the Fantasy Suite. Therefore, he could not continue his relationship with her.
During The Bachelorette season 19 "After the Final Rose" episode, Zach was announced as the next leading man of The Bachelor. The reactions ranged from disappointed to outraged, because people were hoping for fan favorites, such as The Bachelorette season 18's Rodney Mathews, or season 19's Ethan Kang.

The new promos for The Bachelor season 27 starring Zach Shallcross have been released, and they seem to be throwing shade at Zach's ex, The Bachelorette season 19 co-lead Rachel Recchia. Zach, a then 25-year-old tech executive who currently lives in Austin, Texas, had an instant connection with Rachel, a 26-year-old pilot and flight instructor from Clermont, Florida. However, things changed when they had their Fantasy Suite date. Before the rose ceremony, Zach told Rachel that he thought what he was seeing was "Bachelorette Rachel," not the real Rachel. Even though Zach said he loved Rachel and saw a future with her, he self-eliminated and went home.
In his Bachelorette confessional, Zach shared that he and Rachel had a very important conversation about religion and politics, which was when she brought up her fear that Zach was not ready for an engagement at his age. He admitted that he felt like they...

The Bachelor has the ability to change the lives of both the leads and the contestants for better and worse, as season 19 contestant Tino Franco is experiencing after breaking up with Rachel Recchia a month before an explosive After The Final Rose.
While the show tries to preserve the process contestants go through, former Bachelor and Bachelorette contestant Nick Viall invites guests onto his podcast, The Viall Files, to discuss the show and remind fans that no matter how real the feelings may be, the show is a reality show and not all that fans see is what actually happened.
Rachel Didn't Sign On For Love
Even though she found her happily ever after, Rachel didn't take the opportunity to return because she wanted to find love. As she told her former boyfriend, Nick Viall, on his show, she tried to move the show in a new direction that was more inclusive and diverse.

The Bachelorette Season 19 came to a close September 21. It was billed as “the most shocking season finale ever.” But Bachelor Nation has heard that many times before. Each season seems to get more and more dramatic for the cast, with Tuesday’s finale providing a new extreme example. After getting engaged to Tino Franco, Rachel Recchia revealed in After the Final Rose that they broke up not long after filming wrapped. Tino had kissed another woman while engaged to Rachel, she told host Jesse Palmer. They reunited on After the Final Rose, and the conversation ended up being rather brutal. While Tino was met with (some argue too much) accountability for that moment, Rachel was not held to the same standard. Tino repeatedly tried to explain the context of where their relationship was at when he kissed that woman (whom he had briefly dated before starting Season 19), but Rachel refused...

You know how they always say this is the most dramatic finale in “Bachelor” history? Well, this really might have been it.
“The Bachelorette” Season 19 began with leading ladies Rachel Recchia and Gabby Windey both in seemingly happy relationships, with each only having one suitor left — for Rachel, it was Tino Franco; and for Gabby, it was Erich Schwer. Both women were hoping for proposals and they got them. But their fairytale endings were short-lived, as off-camera scandals soon ensued.
Gabby and Erich weathered their storm of Erich texting one of his exes, who came forward on social media. The pair are still happily engaged. The same cannot be said for Rachel and Tino, who admitted to cheating on her after the season had wrapped production — of course, cameras followed the couple as they had one of the franchise’s most hard-to-watch conversations of all time. Needless to say, they are broken up.
