Andrzej Zaucha(1949-1991)

Born in Krakow, Poland, Andrzej Rudolf Zaucha was a Polish r&b and jazz musician and occasional actor. His father was a drummer in a small band performing at parties and Zaucha was inspired by his upbringing to teach himself music. As a teenager, he was a successful canoer before working as a typesetter. In 1971, he released his first album, recorded with a jazz band Dzamble, but it wasn't until 1983 that he released his first solo album. Throughout the 1980s he gained considerable popularity, winning the Opole Song Festival in 1988 with the song "Bylas serca biciem". On October 10, 1991, Zaucha was shot dead along with actress Zuzanna Lesniak by Lesniak's husband Yves Goulais, who suspected his two victims of an affair.
