TNT has launched a new teaser trailer for the series adaptation of Bong Joon Ho’s ‘Snowpiercer’ alongside a revised launch date of May 17th.

Set more than seven years after the world has become a frozen wasteland, Snowpiercer centres on the remnants of humanity who inhabit a perpetually moving train, with 1001 cars, that circles the globe. Class warfare, social injustice and the politics of survival play out in this riveting television adaptation based on the graphic novel series and film from Oscar® Winner Bong Joon Ho (Parasite).

Jennifer Connelly stars alongside Daveed Diggs who plays Andrew Layton, an ex-detective and resident in the lowest class all the way at the back of the train. He is soon recruited by the train’s authorities to track down a killer.

See Daveed Diggs in First ‘Snowpiercer’ TV Adaptation Trailer

In the first trailer for the series, released during San Diego Comic-Con, where some first-look footage was also shown, viewers get a glimpse of an icy dystopian world where people have to keep moving on a train so as not to freeze to death.

TBS has released the first images from their upcoming TV series adaptation of Snowpiercer. Created by Graeme Manson (Orphan Black), the upcoming series stars Daveed Diggs as Andrew Layton, an ex-detective who’s recruited by the train’s authorities to track down a killer. “Layton is a resident of the tail, which is the lowest class all the way at the back of the train,” Diggs tells EW. “But he becomes useful for people uptrain.” Director James Hawes (Black Mirror) doesn’t want to classify Snowpiercer as a “political show”, but does note, “It is adventure storytelling. But it …...
