The much-awaited Mahesh Babu starrer Spyder, a Tamil-Telugu bilingual helmed by Ar Murugadoss, released on September 28 worldwide.

Mahesh Babu playing an intelligence officer, is paired up with Rakul Preet Singh in this spy thriller which also has Sj Suryah and Bharath in the star cast.

Meanwhile, ‘Superstar’ Rajinikanth watched Spyder in a special screening.

Rajinikanth, who never misses an opportunity to praise worthy films, lauded the makers.

Irrfan Khan in Paan Singh Tomar (2012)
Paan Singh Tomar (Hindi) directed by Tigmanshu Dhulia was declared the Best Film at the 60th National Film Awards announced today at a joint Press Conference addressed by the Chairpersons of the three juries; Basu Chatterjee for Feature Films, Aruna Raje for Non-Feature Films and Swapan Mullick for Best Writing on Cinema.

In non-feature film category, the award for the Best Film went to Shepherds of Paradise (Gojri & Urdu) produced and directed by Raja Shabir Khan. In the category of Best Writing on Cinema section, the book ‘Silent Cinema in India – A Pictorial Journey’ (English) written by B.D. Garga has bagged the top honour, whereas P.S. Radhakrishnan has been conferred the award for the Best film Critic.

Vaanam music release at London
Looks like the producers of Vinnaithaandi Varuvaaya have developed a strong affinity for London. Previously, the launched the audio of this film in London, which indeed gained international recognition for the film. Producer Ganesh of Vtv Productions has decided to release the music of Vaanam at the same venue.

The music release function is scheduled to be held on October 15 as Simbhu has confirmed it officially. This is the fourth time Silambarasan and Yuvan Shankar Raja are coming together. They have already streaked stupendous success with the films Manmadhan, Vallavan and Silambattam. Simbhu has crooned a romantic solo for this album and the producers are sure that it will be anthem of youth cohorts in town.

A musician turned actor – Nakul made his debut as one of the actors in Shankar’s Boys. Later, he remained away from spotlights for 5 long years to prove his success with ‘Kadhalil Vizhundhen’. With the grand success of this film, he witnessed more triumphs in his way with ‘Maasilamani’ and average grosser ‘Kandha Kottai’.

But then, the actor wasn’t signing any projects and now it’s reported that he was walked out of Michael Royappan film that was supposed to be directed by ‘Eeram’ fame Arivazhagan. Meanwhile, his Boys co-star Bharath has made a sudden change in his career to make his way going better. He has given up his title of ‘Chinna Thalapathy’ and none of his upcoming films will feature the title.
