Eyes of Wakanda has officially landed on Disney+, and Marvel fans are diving into the animated world of Wakanda once again. The new series, created by Todd Harris, tells the story of the Hatut Zaraze, elite Wakandan warriors who take on dangerous missions throughout history. It’s part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe and keeps its place firmly in the franchise’s main “Sacred Timeline.”

The cast is stacked with talent, including Winnie Harlow, Cress Williams, Anika Noni Rose, Lynn Whitfield, and more. The animation comes from Axis Animation and has a hand-painted style influenced by African-American artists like Ernie Barnes, along with illustrator Dean Cornwell.

The movie reimagines the story of Bambi as a dark, violent tale of revenge. This is the fourth film in the Twisted Childhood Universe, also known as the Poohniverse, and according to critics, it might be the best one so far.

Netflix features no shortage of films -- in fact, /Film's Luke Y. Thompson put together a stellar compilation of the best sci-fi movies on Netflix that everyone should check out. Yet, its kids movies section might be its most underrated aspect, because to quote WWE superstar Sheamus, "It's banger after banger after banger." It's nonstop entertainment for the young and the young at heart.

So, how exactly did we pick the top 15 kids movies on Netflix right now? What was the methodology used? The approach was twofold. One, each movie needed to have a good-to-great critical score on Rotten Tomatoes. Following the huge success of The Snyder Cut, divisive director Zack Snyder has gone back into the editing room again for his latest franchise, Rebel Moon, releasing two R-rated directors cuts to Netflix, both of which are available from today. The two original movies, Rebel Moon: Part Two - The Scargiver and Rebel Moon: Part One - A Child of Fire, now have 22% and 17% on Rotten Tomatoes, respectively. But have the director's cuts fared any better with critics compared to their rotten predecessors? Has the addition of more blood, violence, and nudity improved on Snyders shallow, clichd space opera franchise? Well, no, not especially.

In fact, according to Chase Hutchinson of Collider, things have only gotten worse. Awarded just one and a half stars out of five, it seems that the directors cut does not expand or deepen anything, and instead it all just sinks that much faster with nothing worth revisiting it for.

The Sonic the Hedgehog trilogy spinoff Knuckles has hit the ground running with its debut score at Rotten Tomatoes. Going by its early reviews ahead of its official release on April 26, Knuckles has garnered a Rotten Tomatoes score of 70%.

For the most part, the early reviews are giving praise to Knuckles. While Adrian Ruiz of But Why Tho? said the series isn't mandatory to watch ahead of Sonic the Hedgehog 3, it's a fun watch that is worth the investment. As the critic stated, "Knuckles isn’t a must watch to prepare for Sonic the Hedgehog 3. However, for fans of Idris Elba’s Knuckles and a feel-good TV series, it’s definitely worth your time."

The 100-Acre-Wood will once again be drenched in blood in Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey II, a sequel to last year’s viral hit that arrives in theaters beginning Tonight.

From Fathom Events, the slasher sequel will be playing in theaters nationwide on March 26, March 27 and March 28, so make sure you get out there and see it while you can.

Of course, anyone who has seen the not-so-good first movie may not be all that eager to get out and support another one of these, but the early reviews for Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey II are surprisingly strong out of the gate. Granted, only six critics have logged their reviews over on Rotten Tomatoes at this time, but the film is currently 100% Fresh!

Rotten Pooh: For the sake of comparison, last year’s Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey has a 3% score on Rotten Tomatoes with 62 reviews logged!

Critics aren't thrilled with Wish, the latest animated feature coming to theaters from Disney.

Set for its wide release on Nov. 22, Wish is currently sitting on a rotten score of 58% at Rotten Tomatoes with its early reviews from critics. It's not great news for the House of Mouse, as this marks the lowest Rotten Tomatoes score for an animated Disney movie since Chicken Little, which was released 18 years ago in 2005. That film has a score of 37%, so for what it's worth, Wish is still comfortably ahead of that film with its critics' score. Movies are also considered to be "fresh" if they're rated 60% or higher, so if more positive reviews come in, Wish could also soon find its way out of its rotten status if it can bump up a few percentage points.

The second half of 2023 upon us, which means film lovers can look forward to plenty of plenty of options in the next six months.

Children of the Corn 2023 has been ripped apart by critics across the board. The film is the latest entry in the long-running Children of the Corn franchise, based on the 1977 Stephen King short story of the same name. It began with the 1984 Children of the Corn starring Linda Hamilton as one half of a couple who stumbled upon an isolated Midwest town, where a cult of children have killed all the adults. The newest film, from director Kurt Wimmer, is the eleventh film in the franchise and is set to run in theaters for 18 days starting March 3 before dropping on Shudder on March 21.

It took 13 years, a budget rivaling the Gdp of a small nation, and no shortage of capital-d discourse along the way, but one of the greatest blockbuster filmmakers of all time has finally debuted his long-awaited sequel to the highest grossing movie of all time. Yes, "Avatar: The Way of Water" is currently riding a tidal wave of hype into theaters -- look no further than /Film's review by Chris Evangelista -- to once again plunge audiences headfirst into the paradise known as Pandora. While it remains to be seen if this wildly expensive and extraordinarily risky gambit will pay off, one thing's certain: It's still James Cameron's world, folks, and we're all just living in it.

Now that audiences have begun to experience the highly-anticipated film for themselves, the biggest debate will likely unfold over whether it has outdone its predecessor or not.

“She-Hulk: Attorney at Law” premiered August 18 on Disney+ and instantly impressed critics to a 92 freshness rating on Rotten Tomatoes. The MCU series follows Jennifer Walters, an attorney specializing in superhuman-oriented legal cases, who also happens to be a green 6-foot-7-inch superpowered hulk (and cousin of Bruce Banner). The cast is equally as exciting as the premise and includes Emmy winner Tatiana Maslany making her MCU debut in the title role with supporting players Tim Roth, Mark Ruffalo, Jameela Jamil and Charlie Cox rounding out the ensemble. Wednesday night was the premiere of “The Gray Man,” the Russo Brothers’ ambitious action thriller that, with a budget of 200 million, is the most expensive movie Netflix has ever made. On Thursday, the review embargo for the film lifted, bringing with it a generally underwhelmed response from critics.

The film stars Ryan Gosling and Chris Evans as Court Gentry and Lloyd Hansen. Gentry is on the run from Hansen after coming into possession of top-secret CIA information, and Hansen is unforgiving in his efforts to chase Gentry down. Ana de Armas also stars as Dani Miranda, alongside Regé-Jean Page, Jessica Henwick, Julia Butters, Dhanush, Alfre Woodard and Billy Bob Thornton.

Rob Cohen directed the first “Fast and the Furious” and “xXx” films, and hopes his perilous-weather thriller “The Hurricane Heist” leaves action fans clamoring for sequels. Distributed by Entertainment Studios and set in Alabama, the story follows a meteorologist (Toby Kebbell) intent on rescuing his brother (Ryan Kwanten) from a incoming superstorm, similar to the one that killed their father when they were kids. Yet a band of thieves eagerly awaits the squall, a diversion so they can lift $600 million from a U.S. mint and a treasury agent (Maggie Grace).

Critics genuinely complimented the “gleefully stupid” premise and building “idiocy,” along with the self-awareness screenwriters Jeff Dixon and Scott Windhauser supplied their characters. Also cited were editing gaffes, the actors’ wretched accents, and the too-low camp factor.

If there was ever a perfect setting for a horror movie, it would be the abandoned Danvers State Mental Hospital. Built in 1878 on an isolated site in rural Massachusetts, it was a multi-acre, self-contained psychiatric hospital rumoured to have been the birthplace of the pre-frontal lobotomy. The hospital was the setting for the 2001 horror film Session 9, where an asbestos clean-up crew discover a series of nine tapes, which have recorded a patient with multiple personalities, all of which are innocent, except for number nine.
