Edward Elkabachi grew up in El Paso, Texas, and obtained a Bachelor of Creative Media in Digital Film Making from the Creative Media Institute (CMI) at New Mexico State University (NMSU). As a scholar, Edward worked on multiple productions local to the southwest with studios such as Netflix, A24, and Warner Brothers. He also worked on a number of student films in several different departments, eventually making his directorial debut with his thesis film, Do Not Touch, and starring in the 2025 Las Cruces International Film Festival's Best Student Film, Star Crossed. In 2024, Edward was nominated for Best Script at the Widescreen Film and Music Video Festival for a short screenplay he developed at CMI.
